Portrait Of A Princess (Venus)

Venus ran, her yellow dress flying behind her, tangling around her legs trying to trip her. Mina ignored the tangled mess and continued to run. Overhead the purple skies glowed in the light of the moons, shining on the tears that rolled down Mina's cheeks. Animal sobs tore from her throat as she ran.

Yaten looked around him, it was darker here then at the moon, almost quieter too. The party being held there was loud compared to the silence that ringed in his ears. Yaten had ran from the moon, only wishing to escape the noise and the mass of girls who had fallen in love with him so quickly. Love was an agravated emotion that Yaten did not need in his life.
He brushed his bangs out of his eyes and tucked his hands into the pockets of his jacket while walking under the leaf arbor into a meadow of flowers. All around him flowers grew, there were no trees to block the magnifacint view of color growing under the purple skies.
" Such an odd planet," He mummered looking down at the strange flowers.

Mina fell to her knees among the orange roses. Each planet had roses that grew in their respective colors, a gift of the Earth made long ago.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she buried her head among her arms lying in the roses. Minako tears splashed on the rose petals turning each petal a pure shade of white, until the rose was as clear as crystal and hard as diamonds.

" I have to leave for the Earth tonight," Prince Endymion whispered softly to Serenity. The shadows played on her delicate features making her blue eyes glow magestically.
" I do wish you did not have too," Serenity replied wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her cheek agaisn't the cool metal of his armor.
" My father request my pressence in the court, you know I must follow his wishes, but I will come back to you," Darien said lifting her chin with one finger and looking into her eyes.
" I will count the days until you return," Serenity mummered smiling at him.
Darien bent his head and gently kissed Serenity on the lips. She stood up on her toes and deepened the kiss.
In the depths of the shadows, Lady Beryl watched the couple, jelousy burning in her brown eyes. Behind her the shadows, moved and formed a women with red eyes and a smile of death.

" I have read that your planet is actually the second closet to the sun," Takki said whirling Ami around in the dizzy steps of the waltz.
" Yes, it is," Ami replied smiling up at Takki. " I have gone to the sun kingdom many a time to meet and speak to the people. That is the kingdom of Sailor Sun, but she is unable to help us in the times of attack."
" Un-able or unwilling?" Takki asked.
" Well unwilling actually," Ami replied blushing. " She refuses to be a part of the Silver Millenium, she says that time must run it's proper course before she will enter."
" Prehaps she can see into the future, we are unable to hold such power since human beings are silly weak creatures and even you luntarins do not hold all the power of the universe," Takki replied looking down at Ami from his great height, a serious look in his eyes.
The smile dropped off Ami's face and she looked right back up at Takki before breaking away from his arms and walking out of the room.

Minako was crying gently into her arms now, the animal sobs gone. Replaced instead by the cries of her broken heart. Beneath her body, the rose peatls scattered white, among the dusky orange.
Minako rasied her head and looked at the roses she lay in, her cheeks were stained with tears, and a gentle flush burned. Minako rasied herself up to a sitting position and wiped away the tears. She looked around her, thinking to have heard something but upon seeing nothing, she sighed and looked down to the roses. Minako gently plucked a rose and twirled it around in her fingers. The orange petals blurred in a mix of color. Minako smiled and touched the soft petals with deft fingers before looking to the moon.
" Oh rose, how lucky you are," Minako sighed looking down to the ground again. " My father has chossen that I will marry someone of his choice. I know this may seem quite odd, but I'm the Guardian of Love, Princess Venus and I can not help but feel that a proper marriage match should be made from the binds of love. I know the other princess's feel that my words are silly and in some way quite vain but I can not help feeling them. They have the love's of their lives and yet I have nothing," Minako said, tears forming again.
" I think you are quite vain for what you are saying. Love is an overrated thing that should be banished from our lives," an arrogent voice from behind replied.
Mina shot around and looked up to the man standing behind her. Her face registared shock as she looked up at the rather handsome man with silver hair and piercing green eyes. Minako looked away, a blush on her face at the thought that this man had heard her speaking to the roses!
" I think that love is a wonderful thing, a gift to treasure and cherish with our soulmate," Minako replied softly looking at the rose.
Yaten snorted and looked down at the child like girl in front of him.
" You have no sense to understand what real love is," Yaten shot back.
Fire shot up in Mina's eyes, the rose in her hands fell to the ground as she stood up and crushed it's gentle pedels into the ground with her slippered foot.
" I have every idea of what real love is, it is you who blocks away the lonely hearts of girls," Mina said meanacly, clenching her hands into fists.
Yaten sighed and looked bored. " Why is it that women think the only thing in life is falling in love and getting the man of their dreams. Women are quite overrated, especially the rich princess of your planet. I have heard of her, I do not understand why she does not go and find her dreams instead of waiting for them to find her."
Mina seethed with anger, how dare he speak in such a manner of her.
" How dare you speak in such a way of person you have never even taken the chance to know," Mina growled.
" Because I don't want too, in my opioin she is much to vain for someone of my high status," Yaten replied giving her bored look.
Mina was going to say something but instead she turned around and ran off. Yaten watched the blond girl run off then bent down and picked up the cyrstal rose on the ground.
" Such an odd girl," he mummered pocketing the rose and walking off.

Ami dipped her fingers in the ice cold water of the fountion and sighed. She had run home to Mercury, wanting to be away from it all. Greg had seeked her out all night, Ami had ran from him. Her cheeks still burned at the shame she had brought upon herself. But his kisses started fires that didn't want to die. Greg did not have the power to do this to her. Then there was Takki, he made Ami feel so weird, a feeling she had never felt before.
" I should not be hiding, the others are probaly looking for me," Ami said smiling at her refelection in the pool.
" No there not," A voice replied walking up behind her.
Ami turned around, her eyes widened at the sight of Zoicite standing there. Looking so handsome in his gray uniform, the moon's of Mercury shining in his blond hair.
" Zoicite," she whispered drinking in his appearance has he stepped forward and held out his hand to her. Ami looked down at the calloused palm with it's strong fingers. She then looked up into his green eyes and gently put her own hand into his. Strong fingers closed around her own and pulled her up from the fountion.
" I missed you Ami," he whispered pulling her tightly into his body. Ami stared at the gray cloth of his chest with hevey lidded eyes. With one finger he lifted her chin so she was looking into his gaze.
" Your so beautiful when your eyes shine like that," he mummered drawing her closer.

Mina brushed out her long hair, the red bow lay discarded on the floor next to her dress. The mirrored refelction was sad, dried tears stains and a red flush giving away her emotions. With an almost silent sigh, Mina set down her brush and stood up walking over to the bed.
" Everyone will spend tonight alone," she mummered climbing in and blowing out the lamp.

Serenity sat on her balconey, staring at the earth. Darien had left already. She sniffled softly and brushed away a tear.
" Oh Darien," she cried buiring her head into her arms.
From the doorway, Queen Serenity watched her daughter. A sad expression on her face. At her feet Luna and Artimes stood silently them to watching the princess.

Ami stared at the blue cover of her book but she had no desire to read it. Zoicite had already left for Earth. After his quick departure Ami had went to her room, hoping to escape her saddness with sleep but none would come to her. The shadows were long on her form, but Ami did not bother to light a lamp. She wanted to be alone in the darkness, looking up at the tiny blue dot that was Earth.
" Zoicite," she mummered, her lips still swollen from his kisses.

Rei laughed and twirled around bowing to her dance partner. The music played all around her as couples lauughed and danced in the brightly lit room.
" Princess, I must say you are a lovely sight tonight," The man said taking her hand trying to kiss it.
Rei laughed and pulled her hand away, a gleeful twinkle in her eyes.
" My lord, you are making me blush with words that can turn a girls head," Rei said teasing back.
" Princess, I speak only words of truth," the man replied straightning up and smiling at her, lust in his eyes.
Rei threw back her head and laughed aloud. All around them couples danced and flirted in honor of the Princess Kangya and her Companions the Three Lights. Rei had not seen the other princess's for hours but she did not care as she was swept up in the magic of the ball.
With a wink of her eye and blow of her kiss. Rei disappered into the dancing crowd, leaving her partner alone. With a sigh, she opened her black lace fan and swept air onto her sweaty face.
" Oh, I'm so very overheated," Rei mummered walking through the crowds to the open doors.
Fireworks showered sparkling colors in the blue starry sky as Rei walked out onto the dark terrence. A few stray couples strayed around, talking softly to each other.
" Oh it is so nice out here," Rei mummered smiling softly and walking away from the open doors. She waved air onto her hot face and watched the firworks in the sky.
" It's a beautiful display, you lunarians have," a voice next to her said.
" I'm glad you seem to think so, the Queen wanted the very best for this night," Rei replied fanning her neck.
" Yes I thought that when she held this ball tonight," the man replied.
Rei smiled and turned to her companion. " I take it you do not enjoy our festivities," Rei asked coyly smiling.
Seyia gave a short laugh and turned to look at the princess.
" I did not say I was not enjoying myself tonight," he replied smiling at her with a rather dashing look.
Rei's heart did flipflops in her chest as she caught her breath. This man was handsome but he was not going to catch her in his trap.
" Well then I'm glad you are enjoying yourself," Rei replied looking over the rim of her fan.
Seyia laughed and turned away from the flirty princess.
" And here I thought you weren't that type," he said walking away from her.
Rei dropped her fan away from her face and looked at him with a dumbfounded expression.
" What do you mean by that?" Rei called to his retreating back.
Seyia stopped and looked over his shoulder.
" I am not intrested in you, if you must know Princess. I find that you do not fall under my type," Seyia replied walking off again.
The dumbfounded expression on Rei's face quickly turned to anger, she gather up her skirts and ran after Seyia.
" What do you mean by that?" Rei asked cathcing up to him.
Seyia sighed and stuck his hands into his pockets.
" Tell me Princess are all royal ladies like you? Always after another beau?" He asked hiching up his shoulders and looking at her through the corner of his eye.
" What are you to ask such a question?" Rei replied growing angrier.
" I'm just wondering Princess," Seyia replied walking into the crowded ballroom, leaving a dumbfounded Rei alone on the terrence.

Lita looked behind her before slipping behind the giant turnk of a tree. Light filtered down through the leaves, shining down upon the still figure of Ken in the distance.
He stood with his back to her, the white backing of his shirt glowing with it's own light to match his pale hair.
Lita felt her breath catch as she stared at him, then with quivering fingers she smoothed out her dress and tucked a stray strand of hair away before stepping forward.
All was silent, the music from the castle died it's own death and the sound of wind filled their air. Ken looked up and turned around to face her. As their gazes met, the trees disappered from view, the only thing left to look upon them was the stars in the sky and the earth rising in the distance. Lita came to stop just inches from him, they continued to stare into the depths of each other.
" I missed you Lita," he whispered stepping closer to her and cupping her face.
Tears seeped into Lita's eyes and ran down her cheeks.
" Ken," she whispered before his lips claimed hers and the silence returned.
