It was a fine Spring day and there I was skipping in the rose gardens, without a
care in the world. My mother was the Queen of Earth and my father was the King.
I slowly stopped skipping, "Who am I?" you ask?
"I am Neo-Princess Serenity. The 1st princess of the Crystal Millennium of the
30th Century Earth. Pleased to meet you." I said curtsying.
I walked back to a bench and sat down.
"I look just like my mommy but, I have pink hair! I have no idea how I got it
from a blonde haired mommy and a black haired daddy, but Puu says that it's ok
so I guess it is. Puu is really...." I started, as a masculine voice interrupted
me.
"Rini?" called a voice from the two French doors that led back into the palace.
I got off the bench and ran down the crystal hall towards the voice.
"Papa, your back!" I squealed as he picked me up.
"You know, Small Ladies shouldn't run in the palace." he scolded.
I gave him the cutest puppy dog look that I could manage, "Yes papa." I replied.
He kissed the moon on my forehead as he put me down.
"Who were you talking too out in the gardens?" he asked.
I turned a bright shade of red,"Um no one really I just like to pretend that I
have a bunch of people that I am introducing myself too." I replied.
He grabbed my hand and said, "Come along then Small Lady, your mother wants to
see you." As we walked towards the throne room, we came upon a closed, silvery
white curtain, with a guard standing in front of it.
"Good-day your highness, Princess." said the guard bowing.
"Hi there Bruno!" I replied back.
Bruno took a deep breath and opened the curtains, "Announcing, his highness
Neo-King Darien, and his daughter, Neo-Princess Serenity!"
I peered into the throne room and my heart fell to the floor.
'I hate when mommy has a council session, it's so boring!' I thought to myself
as I walked down the red carpet to my small crystal throne between mommy and
daddy. As daddy and I sat down mommy got up and said,"Ladies and Gentlemen, this
meeting of the Council is adjourned."
The crowd bowed and vanished.
"Mommy, how did your trip go?" I asked.
She grabbed me into a hug, but I was very careful because mommy had a big tummy!
"Oh Rini! I missed you soo much!" mommy cried.
"Mommy you have a big tummy!" I exclaimed with wide eyes.
She looked at daddy, "Do you think she will understand Darien" she asked.
"She is six. I think that she will, Serenity." he replied.
Daddy picked me up and sat me on mommies lap.
"Rini I am going to have a baby." she said.
I sat there for a moment and thought about what she said and then I asked, "Like
me?"
"Well sort of. It will be a boy, just like your father." mommy said.
I jumped down from my mommies lap and squealed, "I finally get someone to play
with!"
I looked over at mommy and she burst into tears.
"Mommy what's wrong?" I cooed.
"She will be alright, she just gets like this sometimes." said daddy as he put
an arm around mommy.
"I am ok. Why don't you go and play now little one?" she asked.
My face brightened,"Ok!" I chirped running out of the throne room, nearly
knocking Bruno over as I ran by.
"Small Lady?! Walk!" my daddies voice echoed through the palace.
Serenity looked at Darien, "Do you think we should tell her yet?" she asked.
"Let's wait and speak to Pluto first." he replied as he sighed sitting back down
on his throne.
