Part 3: Evil Shows Its Final Card

Recap #2: Serena screams after...

She decides to tell her parents about her marriage plans. While they disapprove of it at first, she talks smooth enough(or rather, leaves quickly enough for them not to change their mind) to let her go about. But things weren't as well for Serena & Darien, cause after Darien showed a "moment of weakness", They both showed their monsters, leading to the destruction of their relationship. Leading to this chapter.

[Knock on door]

Sammy: Serena!

[No Response]

Sammy: Come out! You're gonna make an aquarium in there!

[Again, no response]

Sammy: MMMMMMM! Fresh baked cookies! I got a full bag, just for you.

[A platter comes out of the cat-flap]

Sammy: Oh, I've had enough!

[Inside the room, Serena was sitting in her bed, with a depressed face. She was a lot skinnier than usual and had red, restless eyes]

Sammy: Nice to see you're still alive.

Serena: What? You thought I was crying my eyes out?

Sammy: For the first 4 days, yeah.

Serena: This is none of your business.

Sammy: Oh, it IS my business. You're my sister, and believe it or not, I care about you. Besides, I know too much already, I can't just turn back.

[Serena was somewhat surprised and scared when she heard that.]

Serena: So, you know that Luna can talk?

Sammy: Long time ago.

Serena: And, you know about my secret Malibu Stacy collection?

Sammy: Every item.

Serena: And... you also know... about...

Sammy: Yep, that too.

Serena: I ain't keeping two diaries anymore. It's useless.

[Sammy walks to Serena's drawer, opens the top-left one, and pulls out a book titled "Superheroes For Klutzes", he opens the fake book to find a strange winged figurine.]

Sammy: Hmmm..... Pathetic.

Serena: What?

Sammy: Yeah, pathetic. You're Sailor Moon, the Champion of Justice; you've faced many hardships in the name of love and justice... or so I read.

Serena: True.

Sammy: Yet you're sitting here, whining and crying about such stupid, insipid things.

Serena: Excuse me?

Sammy: Just listen to me. You just broke a 3-year old relationship, and I understand that, I'm no baby. But you can't just stay hidden forever. Get some tan on that skin. Breathe some fresh smog. Bring a smile to your face. So what if he left you? That's his loss. Aside from that "destiny" stuff, forget Darien for a minute and enjoy yourself. when you're better, we can talk on the subject.

Serena: Mmmm.... Maybe you're right. This isn't doing any good for me. I gotta enjoy instead of suffer. I have a full life ahead of me. [Stands up] Look out, Tokyo! Here comes the new, reenergized Serena, "The Bunny" Tsukino!

Sammy: [To himself] Oh, that was so lame.

[Serena runs towards the front door, and Sammy follows close. She goes out and heads directly to (where else?) the arcade.]

Sammy: You go, girl! Take care! [He closes the front door. Suddenly, a tired face took over him.] Finally, I can get some[YAWN] rest. [THUD]

[Meanwhile, at Raye's house...]

Michiru: So, anybody know anything about Serena?

Mina: Don't worry. It took some doing, but Sammy "agreed" to talk to her. Heh Heh.

Amy: That's torture!

Mina: That's getting results.

Setsuna: I just hope she can patch things up with Darien, Otherwise the entire balance will be broken.

Lita: Everything will turn out fine. Haven't you read "Sailor Moon Stars"?

Setsuna: What?

Mina: [Interrupting]Hey, guys, check this out.

TV: And in entertainment news, Where are the Three Lights? I was sure they had all the makings for a long, fruitful career, but suddenly, they are nowhere to be seen. What happened? Did they sprout wings and went to, I dunno, the center of the universe, maybe? Well, while the Three Lights play hide and seek, here's a new group from the U.S. and they sound very promising. these 5 boys are called the Back...

Mina: [turns off TV] Oh, shut up! No one will ever replace my beloved Three Lights.

[6 months later...]

Mina: [Screaming through a screaming croud] Hey, Nick! Give me an autograph! Yo, Brian, look here! A.J.! I Love You!!!!

[6 months earlier...]

Lita: Dearest Mina, you have to learn to let go.

Raye: Wait, people, quiet. I sense a negative force. It's... organizing. It's evolving into something stronger. It's familiar... yet new.

Luna: It's the same energy I sensed a week ago, but it's much stronger this time.

Artemis: It seems that evil finally shows its face.

Amy: I'm trying to locate the energy... eureka, it's... [GASP!] You have to look at this!~

[Everybody crouds around the mini-computer. Their faces turn horrified.]

Hakura: This is so bad. We gotta move, now!

Lita: No time to waste!

[They all run off to the city]

[Serena is at the arcade, playing the latest Sailor V arcade game (you know, the one that appeared on 1990) and actually doing pretty good (a rare feat for her). Then, she feels a weird sensation behind her. She fearfully turns around only to find...]

Mara: How you doing?

Serena: Oh, man, you scared me. Well, I'm... getting through.

Mara: Well, if you have some free time...

[then the "you lose" music from "Sailor V" plays]

Serena: I do now.

Mara: Good, because I've just finished your dress.

Serena: Oh, [A depressed look returns to her face] about that...

Mara: Something wrong, dear?

Serena: Well, I'm afraid I'll have to cancel my order.

Mara: Oh, that's too bad. Needed some time?

Serena: That's a way to say it.

[They both start walking towards the store. Meanwhile, at the other side of town, the other girls are rushing to stop the evil presence from doing a very malevolent thing. They reach Mara's store and see Serena inside. Lita, Mina, Raye and Hakura tried to open the door, but it was locked. They all tried screaming at her, but it seemed she couldn't hear them. So, they tried breaking the window, but no matter what they threw, they couldn't make a crack. So, they decided to search the area.]

Mara: I just need your signature to make the cancel official.

Serena: OK.

[Serena starts signing. Mara's face turns more and more evil as our klutzy, unaware main character doesn't know what's really happening]

Mara: Yes, that's all we need.[she said just as she was pulling a knife from the main desk]

Hakura: Stop!!!

[Hakura tackles Mara, who drops the knife which falls just inches from Serena's fingers]

Serena: AAAAAAAAAAAHH!! What's going on?!

Lita: Watch out, Serena! Mara is trying to kill you!

Serena: Mara?

[Mara kicks Hakura away, knocking her to the ground. As she (Mara) stands from the ground, she fixes her hair and clothing.]

Mara: Well, my cover was blown. I was sent here to get the Silver Imperium Crystal so I can accelerate the revival of Chaos from the Cauldron in Saggitarius Zero Star. So give me the Crystal, Sailor Moon.

[Serena stands in shock at this revelation]

Raye: Well, guys, I guess we don't need to hide any longer, let's go!

MARS CRYSTAL POWER!

VENUS CRYSTAL POWER!

MERCURY CRYSTAL POWER!

JUPITER CRYSTAL POWER!

URANUS CRYSTAL POWER!

NEPTUNE CRYSTAL POWER!

PLUTO CRYSTAL POWER!

[Serena snaps out of it and joins the others]

SILVER MOON CRYSTAL POWER!

MAKE UP!

S. Moon: Who do you think you are? If you think you can destroy the hope of this beautiful planet, you're crazy! I'm Sailor Moon. I fight for love and justice, and I'll never let you change this planet's future for the worse. So, in the name of the Moon...

All Sailor Senshi: We will punish you!

Mara: Well, that's just great.[she lets out a chuckle and jumps on the desk] Come on, try me.

S. Mars: You asked for it. MARS...

Luna: STOP!

S. Moon: Luna?

S. Mars: What's the problem?

Luna: It's true that Mara holds evil powers, but it's not Mara herself.

S. Mars: Hmmm... You're right! In that case...

EVIL SPIRIT DISPERSE!

[Mara gasps as one Spell Paper lands on her forehead. She then faints and falls behind the desk. However, a figure stands at the point where Mara once was. A strange, dark figure. This misty figure starts getting form until it looks like a human. The Senshi get set for battle]
