Sailor Universe: Chapter 4

It was a beautiful, sunny morning when all of the Sailor Scouts regrouped at Raye's temple. However, Luna and Artemis were no where to be found.

“You see, Serena, the future has changed. When I tried to contact Neo-Queen Serenity, I got Marlena's future self instead. It seems that all of us died two years after you became queen, except for Marlena and Colin. The Kullden destroyed us. She seemed glad that Raye was suspicious enough to have me contact the future. She warned that this new Enemy is stronger than any we have faced before. Her life has been so lonely, for she and Colin were the only people left on Earth.”

“WHAT??! That's impossible. Why couldn't we beat them??”

“Because, we never could figure out how to make Marlena Sailor Universe, and Colin the Sunlight Knight. We needed their power to defeat the Kullden.”

“Oh, well that's just great!! We all die, I never get to be a mother, and Kullden destroys the Earth!! All because we aren't smart enough to figure out how to give Marlena and Colin their powers!!”

“Serena!! You have to calm down. We will figure it out. Setsuna is going to stay in regular contact with the future Marlena and Colin. Combined with their knowledge of the future, we should be able to give the present Marlena and Colin their powers.”

“You are right, Ami. I need to be calm to be able to help figure this out. But I can't imagine never becoming a mother. Especially since I already know what my future daughter is like!!”

Serena began to sob as they others watched on. Marlena slowly rose and went to Serena's side, trying to comfort her.

“It'll be ok, Serena. Um, Setsuna, do Colin and I ever remember our past in the Sun Kingdom?”

“No, why?”

“If we could remember our past, we might know how Serlena intended to make me Sailor Universe.”

“Hey!! That's a great idea. I wonder why no one ever thought of it. It could save everyone. I will ask your future selves about it. Just to make sure there aren't any dangers in you remembering your past.”

“I do remember one thing. When I had the dream about the Sun Kingdom, I could hear the thoughts and feelings of my past self. I was outraged that Marlena had to become Sailor Universe, and go to the Moon just to protect some other princess. No offense to you, Serena. I just could not understand why she had to protect you when she was also a princess. I understand it now.”

“It's ok, Colin. Um, has anyone seen Luna and Artemis?? I haven't seen them all morning. They never miss a Sailor Scout meeting.”

“Oh, they told me they were going to investigate something. It was some kind of weird disturbances in the Earth's gravitational force.”

“Oh, ok. Well, Setsuna, go ahead and go contact the future. Then hurry back here, and bring us up to date.”

“Of course, Princess.”

Serena's thoughts: `There goes that Princess thing again. Do they know something they're not telling me??'

“Oh, and I'm gonna go and call Darien. He should come back to Japan. We might need his help against the Kullden.”
