Sailor Universe: Chapter 18
 
**ONE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING**
“Serenity, I am glad you decided to order a dress instead of wearing your queen one.”
“Well, I just thought everyone might be tired of seeing me in it. Got to give the people a little variety, Mom.”
“You are going to look so beautiful. I cannot believe that my child is queen of the world, and about to get married!!”
“Let's just hope that Karimenta waits until after the wedding to attack like I think she will. Where are my bridesmaids? Molly? Princesses? Are all of you dressed yet?”
“Uh, almost! Molly is having a little trouble with her dress. She has never worn anything these kinds of dresses. We used to wear them all the time in the Moon Kingdom.”
“Still can't believe you'd pick me as your maid of honor, Serenity.”
“Hey! You've been my best friend my whole life!”
“Yeah, but the Sailor Scouts have been your friends for two lifetimes.”
“Ah, but you see, therein lies the problem. How could I just choose one of them to be my maid of honor?? You're different, and a maid of honor is supposed to be different from the bridesmaids.”
“Ok, whatever you say almighty queen.”
“Jeez, give the girl a compliment, and she goes all sarcastic on you!”
“Yea! We finally got her dress on! Ta-ta-da!!”
Everyone stepped out from behind the changing screens. They all looked so beautiful that Serena's mom began to cry.
“I cannot believe that my little baby girl is all grown up!! Seems like yesterday I was changing your diapers, and here you are, a queen about to get married.”
“Oh, Mom! It is not as if you will not be a part of my life. You, Dad, and Sammy are always welcome here at the Palace. Remember, I did invite you to live here.”
“I know, but we don't want the world to think that you are weak, and your parents living here might convey that.”
“No, all it would convey is that I love my family with every bit of my heart.”
 
**WEDDING DAY**
The ceremony is being held in front of the beautiful Palace. Music begins to play as the guests rise. Michiru and Haruka begin the procession in gorgeous aqua and teal dresses. Hotaru and Setsuna are next, then Mina and Lita, Raye and Ami, Marlena, and finally Molly in a wonderful blue and silver dress. Just as Molly reaches the front, Serenity begins her walk down the aisle with her father. Once they reach the front, he and her mother proclaim that they are giving her in marriage to Endymion(they decided to use his true name for the wedding). The ceremony continues until it is time for their vows.
“I, Prince Endymion, take thee, Neo-Queen Serenity, to be my lawfully wedded wife. I promise to love and cherish you no matter what may happen until the end of time. Even in death, I will love you. I shall never leave your side, as you have captivated me since the time of the ancient Moon Kingdom.”
“I, Neo-Queen Serenity, take thee, Prince Endymion, to be my lawfully wedded husband. In sickness and in health, I will always love and cherish thee. I promise that I will never let anything come between us, not even death, as we have already beaten it. You are, have always been, and always will be my one true love no matter what the test of time may bring us.”
The preacher announced that it was time to kiss the bride, and boy! What a kiss!! Finally, the bridesmaids got the action they had been waiting for! :^)
During the reception, however, chaos occurred. Just as the bride and groom were finishing their first dance, Geminate attacked.
“You pathetic humans! Karimenta should have destroyed you years ago!! Look at you, the whole world is in danger, and here you are, having a party! Oh well, that just puts more people in place for me to attack!!”
A giant ball of fire appeared in her hand, and she threw it at the dance floor.
“Oh no you don't Aunt!! Mars Cosmic Power!!”
Everyone else quickly transformed right behind her, but Sailor Mars was the first to attack.
“Burning Soul!!”
The attack flew at Geminate, but she hit aside with her hand.
“My powers deal with fire too, niece. You can defeat me!! I am much too powerful for you!!!”
“Yeah, well do you remember this? MUSICIAL STORM CRESCENDO!!”
Again, Geminate was visibly weakened by the attack, but refused to give up. Instead, she sent another fireball at Mars, determined to kill her.
“No!! TIDAL WAVE DESCEND!!”
Sailor Mercury quickly used her attack to protect Sailor Mars, and Sailor Moon attempted to kill Geminate, but the vile woman dodged the attack.
“Until next time, Sailor Moon! Don't worry, I shall return, and when I do, I will kill my niece, and then you!!”
“Don't count on it!! Diamond Blizzard Fly!”
Millions of sharply cut diamonds descended upon Geminate in a vicious wind, destroying her. Sailor Mars fell to her knees, feeling an unexplainable pain.
“Sailor Moon? What is wrong with me?! Why do I feel this pain??”
“Shh, it will be ok. Sailor Mercury, carry her into the Palace. Place her in her bed, and put hot towels all around her body. Burn some incense that smells like eucalyptus, jasmine, and cucumber. That is all that we can do for her right now.”
“How do you know to do all of that?? I have never found any kind of treatment like that in my doctor studies.”
“My Moon mother told me of the treatment when she warned me about Sailor Mars's aunt. Now go, she needs the towels and incense.”
“Of course, my queen. I am sorry that I questioned your knowledge. Sailor Jupiter, please help me.”
“Sure, Mercury.”
“Sailor Mars, I promise that you will be alright. The death of your aunt will not kill you as it did the Ancient Scouts. Mercury, Jupiter, once you have attended to her, meet us in the battle room. Karimenta must pay for this.”
