Silver Star
Chapter One
Enough is Enough
"Flight one oh one is now boarding all first class seats, Flight one oh one en route to San Francisco, California is now boarding first class passengers, all other passengers please make their way to the gate," the flight attendant announced.
*That's my flight* Usagi thought as she watched another plane take off to a destination unknown. Soon that would be her, flying away from everyone and everything she had known since birth in Tokyo, Japan. She didn't regret it though; it was time she be on her own. There were just too many things that signaled her departure, she had had enough.
"Now boarding all second class passengers, seats ten through fifty-six…" she heard the woman say.
"Remember, no regrets Usagi and don't look back," she said to herself as she picked up her bags and walked to the terminal.

Luna hummed to herself as she walked toward the Tsukino household, fresh from the senshi meeting to berate Usagi for leaving in the middle of the session. Sometimes she couldn't believe the nerve of the air headed blonde.
As she walked up the steps, she paused a moment, catching the sound of a sob from the side of the house. Curiosity drew her in and soon she found herself walking toward the continuous sobs. Rounding the corner she saw Shingo sitting up against the house and he was…no, that couldn't be…he was crying! Putting on her innocent kitten look she sauntered up to the crying boy.
"Meow," she purred rubbing against Shingo's leg.
Sniffling Shingo looked up and his eyes filled with more tears. *Luna, Usagi's cat* he thought as he reached for Luna, set her into his lap and held her close.
"Oh Luna, I'll take care of you. Usagi's gone, she left us, she's gone…I was too awful to her I bet. She's gone Luna, gone," he sobbed into her fur.
Shock ran through Luna first, then guilt steadily crept through her. *No Shingo, it's my fault* she thought as tears came to her eyes as well.

"That's all and thank you for flying Japan Airlines," (A.N. I didn't just make the name up it really exists so there :-p) the Flight Attendant said as she smiled at the passengers.
Usagi looked around her curiously she had never been on an airplane before, but she was not afraid. Smiling she looked at the people around her. A girl with raven colored hair reminded her of…Usagi thought as she hurriedly looked away. The girl she had been staring at reminded her of Rei.
Rei, who was incessantly nagging her about her low grades, her constant klutziness and the fact that she was always late for everything. Usagi sighed and looked out the window. She just found Rei's speeches about her faults annoying and most of the time she wondered why Rei was always so mean to her. She had never done anything to the Miko but be who she was but that seemed to never be enough.
"My granddaughter Alicia has a grade point average of seven-point-oh. I'm so proud of her!" Usagi heard a woman exclaim to her friend beside her.
*Seven-point-oh? I bet Ami could…Ami…* Usagi thought suddenly. Ami, so smart, so quiet and so gentle, yet always pushing Usagi to do her studies, to gain knowledge that might help her someday. Ami, always organizing study groups and being the brain in the battles. Usagi knew the blue-haired genius was trying to help with good intentions but enough was enough. Usagi sighed and realized that already she was missing her senshi.
Usagi pushed her thoughts from her mind and laid her head back on her seat. She could tell this was going to be a long flight.

Luna stayed with Shingo only long enough to realize she was blubbering on just as Usagi would have and that thought quickly sobered her and made her realize she had important matters to attend now that Usagi had disappeared, abandoning her responsibilities and the people that needed her. Luna realized she would have to tell the rest of the senshi and the Prince. She would inform Rei first, knowing the girl would take charge quickly and call an emergency meeting.
As she walked memories of Usagi ran through her mind making her miss the ditzy blonde to which she was sworn to advise. *I almost wish I hadn't agreed…* Luna thought not finishing as she came to the Hikiwa Shrine. She found Rei sweeping the walk to the shrine. Rei heard Luna approach and looked to find a very solemn and upset looking cat.
"Hello Luna, what are you doing back? I can't imagine you left anything behind. Judging by the look on your face there's something wrong and that usually means odango atama trouble," Rei said decidedly.
"Yes it is Usagi," started Luna. "I need you to call an emergency meeting now!" Just then Rei's communicator beeped ironically.
"Mars here, what's up Mercury?" Rei asked anxiously as Ami's face appeared on the screen.
"Nega monster attack Rei, we're having a lot of trouble fighting it and Usagi isn't answering her communicator, please…" Ami was replaced by static obviously indicating an intense fight.
"Luna, lets go, they need us downtown," Rei said pulling out her henshin pen from her robes.
Luna had heard their conversation and worry flooded her mind immediately. How would the senshi fight without Sailor Moon?
