Sweet Little Lies
Chapter Five
by Devon Masterson
This lemon is finally finished. Thanks, readersJ Let me know what you think. If you listen to Secret Garden (Sweet Seduction) by Barry White, etc then you'll know the rhythm of the chapters 3-5. Gotta love that old school R&B…frisky frisky!
"Into the garden,
where temptation feels so right…
In the garden,
we can make it come alive
Every night…every single night
Your secret garden.."--Secret Garden, Barry White, and others
"What are you doing?" Michiru asked. Haruka froze in place. She took her hand off the coat rack where her helmet had been.
"I wanted some ice cream," she replied as she turned around. She was quite pregnant being nearly 8 months along. "The butternut kind."
"Uh-huh," Michi said suspiciously. "I bought some today. There's at least three containers."
"Oh really," she commented becoming very interested then paused. "I need some sprinkles."
"I bought those too," Michi replied. "And there's plenty of bananas too. So there's no need for you to go out and on your bike nonetheless."
"Oh come on, Michi," Haruka pouted.
"You can't do everything like you used to while carrying the baby, Haru," Michi smiled. Lately Haruka seemed to need more care than usual. It was almost as though she were a child herself. "Besides, I don't want you to end up like that guy we saw yesterday, especially…"
Haruka frowned as she put her helmet back on the rack. "I see what you mean. He really ate it. Okay, Michi, no more bike riding until the baby comes. Something tells me she's going to be a speed demon anyway."
"With you for a mother there's no doubt," Michi smiled.
Haruka winked then yawned. "I'm glad I didn't go out, I feel sleepy. I think I'm going to turn in."
"Night," Michiru called. "I'm going to sit out on the porch for a while."
"Kay," she said as she went into her room.
Michi walked outside and sat on the porch. The sun had just set in the sky even though it was after 9:30. She watched as children, who had been trying to stay every bit of sun, finally went inside and evening joggers started for home.
"Hi, Michiru," Hiro called as he stood on his porch next door.
"Hi, Hiro, how are things?" she asked. He had moved in next door four months ago. They had quickly become friends. They had a lot in common. He was art buyer for several corporations and just moved to the States. It was funny how she seemed to always run into artists.
"Fine," he answered. "How's Haruka?"
"She's a bit antsy, but other than she's fine," she commented.
"Michiru, I have to ask you something," Hiro started nervously. "I met this girl and I asked her out…"
"Congratulations."
"Thanks, well she wants to go out a double date so that we can get to know each other better."
"I can see that," Michiru commented. "These days a girl has to be safe."
"Right," Hiro replied as he finished. "I was wondering if you would go with us. I have a friend that would love to go out with a girl like you."
"I don't know, Hiro, I…"
"Please, Michiru, this is really important."
Michiru sighed. "Okay, when do I need to be ready."
"Tomorrow evening okay?"
"That's fine," she remarked. Here she went again.
The dreaded tomorrow evening came quickly. Michiru sucked her breath in as she walked over to Hiro's house and knocked on the door. "Michiru, you're just in time," he greeted as he let her in. Michi removed her shoes in the foyer and walked into the living room.
"Michiru Kaiou this my friend Malachite Ikari," Hiro greeted happily. "And this is my date Nini."
Michiru's eyes widened at the introductions. She tried not appear off guard but she was at a total lost. "Ni…nice to meet you, Malachite. Nini."
"Let's get going we have reservations. Nini and I will be driving together and you can come with Malachite." He said casually as they walked outside. He politely opened the door for his date and waved to them as he got into the car.
"Shall we?" Malachite asked as he walked over to the passenger side. He opened the door and Michiru joined him reluctantly. As she stepped into the car, Malachite got a whiff of her familiar perfume. She smelled of rose petals with a kiss of sea air. "You look lovely."
"Thank you."
Malachite got into the driver's seat. "Don't worry, I have lots of experience driving here."
"Now that's reassuring," Michiru commented.
The two traveled in silence to the restaurant. Neither knew what to say. Malachite cursed himself as he thought of something. He had this whole thing planned. He had waited four months for the opportunity to see her. During the time he waited he was able to occupy himself with colorful anecdotes and pictures that Hiro provided. Hiro was the best he could find anyone and everything. He was perfect for any job. Malachite had been greatly amused that Michiru was helping take care of her pregnant friend. Some how he could have sworn that her room mate was a lesbian, but whatever. Thanks to Hiro, he knew why Michi left, the real reason or the most important reason as far he was concerned. Helping her friend was a noble cause, but he was a major reason. That meant he still had a chance if she still loved him. There had to way to make up for his stupidity about the baby and her.
Dinner went on pretty much the same way the drive there went. Michiru talked with Nini and Hiro but hardly spoke to Malachite. They had a few stolen glances at each other and their hands touched once when they both reached for the breadbasket, but still no connection. Hiro suggested that they go dancing afterward, but Michiru declined and Malachite offered to take her home.
"I don't know how this could get any worse," Michiru thought as she watched the buildings speed by. She was going in the opposite direction of her house. "Where are we going this is the wrong way."
"Plan B," Malachite answered.
"Turn the car around and take me home."
"Hear me out once we get there and then I'll take you anywhere and exit your life forever if you want. You owe me that."
"Wrong, I owe you nothing," Michiru retorted as she looked away. She didn't know why she put up with this evening. Hearing anything would be nothing but lies, sweet little lies that would try and entice her into bed.
"Please."
Michiru sighed. "Fine." She didn't know why she told him that she would. But it was the first time he ever sounded so desperate. Her curiosity was quite piqued.
"Thank you," was all that he said as he pulled into a parking garage.
"So that's his game. Seduce me into bed. Probably one last one for the road." Michiru looked around as they made their way up a backset of stairs to what turned about to be a lush penthouse suite. Everything seemed familiar but a little off. She swore she had been here before. He offered a seat on the love seat and sat in the chair beside her. Michiru was quite surprised that he didn't sit in the chair with her. He was up to something. "Yes?"
"Ru-chan, I…I don't know where to start," he said as he stood and started to pace the room.
"How about the beginning?"
"I love you," he blurted out.
Michiru's jaw set. "I'm leaving," she said angrily as she jumped to her feet.
"I'm serious," he urged as he grabbed her arm. "I haven't been the same since you left."
"Try Viagra," she uttered as she ripped her arm away.
Malachite jumped in front of her. "I'm going to ignore that comment," he replied as he grabbed her shoulders this time. "If you don't believe me then believe this…" He kissed her passionately and Michiru yielded completely and briefly. She pushed him away and slapped him.
"I hate you," she remarked as a tear started fall from her eyes. "Stay away from me."
Malachite's eyes widened and he let her go. He was about to give him up when one last attempt came to him. "Doesn't this place seem familiar?"
Michiru stopped in her tracks and turned around. "What do you mean?"
"Do you have a student named Maxwell Gates?"
"How did you…"
"I paid his to take lessons from you over the last four months so that I could be close to you," he interrupted as he opened up a door and revealed the front of the apartment where she gave Maxwell lessons three times a week. "That's how much I love you."
Michiru just stood there. She didn't know what to do. It was as equally flattering as it was creepy. "Did you pay Hiro too?"
"I had to find you, Ru-chan. I had to apologize and get you back."
"Zoicite left you didn't he?" she asked in understanding. "You want to be free but not alone."
"True, Zoicite left, but I didn't follow him. He was right, I was in love with someone else," Malachite answered as he moved closer to Michi. "I love you."
Michi turned away from him as tears started to flow. Malachite put his arms around her softly not making an attempt to be frisky. Michiru turned around in his arms like the last time and kissed him. "Make love to me," she whispered as she pulled him to her. Her back was against the wall.
"Ru-chan…"
"I need to know," she replied as she kissed him again.
Malachite responded to her by kissing back. He hungrily dueled tongues with her and moved his hands all over her dress. This was not quite what he planned, fantasized about, but not planned. His hands slid her dress upward and touched her thong underwear. "Now that is different." He was quite turned on the skimpy panties and he missed having her close to him. He slid them off slowly and allowed her to step out of them. He kept his eyes on her the entire time. "So sexy," he thought as he kissed her again. Michiru moaned at his kisses and he placed her legs around his waist. He grinded against her as nibbled on her ears and talked dirty in her ear. Everything was as it should be. She was with him and they were making love. It wasn't just casual sex.
"Take me," she moaned softly.
"To greater heights," he vowed as he unzipped his pants and entered her hard. Michiru gasped. It had been awhile since she had been with anyone, almost a year. She had grown tight again, but not virginal. It was quite pleasurable for both of them as he moved into her as though he was going to knock her through the wall. She started to breathe heavily. She had been so aroused while they kissed that she thought to pump her once would bring about an orgasm. She had missed him and their private time greatly. It felt good to have him inside her once more.
Suddenly her thoughts washed away like rapids going down falls. She climaxed. She tensed every muscle in her body and gripped him tightly. Her nails dug into his back drawing blood and sending him into a climax as well. They both slid slowly to the floor as they came down from the high. "Magnificent," she whispered as she laid in his lap.
Malachite kissed her forehead. "Always when it's with you," he said softly as they both drifted off to sleep.
The next morning Malachite woke up on the floor with a blanket around him. He stretched and felt for Michiru, but only found a note.
Malachite,
I need sometime to sort out my feelings. In five months we shall meet at the Sakura Garden at noon. Our first date remember? If neither one of shows up, then we know that it wasn't meant to be and we had one last memory.
Michiru
Malachite folded the note and looked out of the window. For the first time in his life he wasn't sure if he was going to get what he wanted. "Here's hoping, my love."

"I'll see you at the park," Michiru said to Haruka as she picked up Zoe. "Auntie will see you later." She kissed the infant affectionately before laying her back in the bassinet.
"I hope everything goes well," Haruka remarked as she packed Zoe's diaper bag. Their friends had decided to give them a welcome back picnic. Serena was always good for such nonsense, but they both had to admit that it was nice to be home.
Michi took a deep breath and then chickened out. "He probably won't be there and I'll be hurt all over again. There's no way he could possibly wait five months. What was I thinking!!"
"Michi, it was your idea that we come back and settle our pasts. You have to go," Haruka commented. "Besides, I need you to be strong now so that tomorrow when I go see Zoicite and tell him about the baby that you'll talk me back into it."
Michiru smiled. "You're right. It's time we both grew up."
"That's my girl," Haruka sighed as she squeezed Michi's hand affectionately. "It's amazing how we both ended up. I'm the mother of the most beautiful baby in the world and you'll probably end up…"
"We shall see," Michiru interrupted. "Don't jinx it. I'll see you later."
"Bye," Haruka called as she watched her friend leave.
As she closed the door, Michiru took a deep breath. This was the final test. Would he be there. There was ample opportunity to replace her unless he really meant it.
It took her fifteen minutes to arrive at the Sakura Garden restaurant. She took a deep breath as the waitress seated her. She made sure the waitress seated her at a table near the door. The lunch time crowd was starting thin out so it made it easier to spot him. Michi ordered some sake to help ease her nerves. She looked at her watch and saw that it was fifteen minutes after. She sighed. She knew he didn't mean it. She tried to herself that she did not care but it was hard. The whole thing was stupid. He wouldn't change and she didn't have to give him a leash.
"Beautiful women shouldn't cry," a male said as he handed her a handkerchief.
Michiru looked up and saw Malachite standing in front of her with a rose. "How long have you been here?"
"I've been here since eleven," he answered as he smiled. "I thought a flare of drama was in order."
"You jerk," she said playfully as she hit his chest.
"I may be a jerk, but I'm a jerk with a fiancée," he replied.
"What?" Michi asked as she pulled away. "You found someone…else?"
"Just you."
Michiru shook her head. "I'm confused. You're.."
Malachite kissed her deeply and smiled. "I should have just sent you the memo."
"That would have been helpful," she joked.
"How about this instead?" he asked as he placed a ring on her finger. "Future Ikari-san."
"That'll work," she smiled. She kissed him. "Let's go."
"Where are we going?" Michiru pulled him along.
"To a picnic. It's just across the street. I want to introduce you to everybody," she answered as they made their way to the picnic.
Within minutes they made it to the picnic spot. Everybody was talking animatedly as though something interesting was about to happen. Michiru scanned the group of friends for Haruka and Zoe, but didn't see them. "Hi, everybody," she greeted as she held his hand.
"Hi," Ami said as the couple came up. "You just missed Haruka."
"K…then I'll tell her later," Michiru began. She was about to burst with information. "I want to introduce you to someone. This is Malachite…my fiancée."
All of the girls jaws dropped in amazement then all congratulated her. "Go figure," Lita remarked as she hugged Michiru. "You two are full of surprises. First Zoicite now Malachite."
"They left together?" Michiru asked. "Good for her."
"Did you say Zoicite?" Malachite asked incredulously.
"Sweetheart, you might want to sit down for this," Michiru began. "Well you see.."
"Tell me later," Malachite interrupted. "You owe me five months." He picked Michiru into his arms. "I'll bring her back later," he winked.
The others smiled. "Bye," they called.
"Now why can I get that kind of action?" Lita asked.
"I know what you mean," Rei, Ami, and Mina replied at the same time then blushed.
"Let's eat," Serena suggested proud of herself. She had no idea about Michiru and Malachite but she felt responsible for the hook up between Zoicite and Haruka. "All in a day's work."
Author's note: There's going to be an epilogue to end these stories, but I haven't figured out how it's going to work yet. The story can stand alone without it so don't stress ;p
