Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ The Silent Angel ❯ Introduction ( Chapter 1 )
The Silent Angel
She sat. Her eyes looking straight at the board, her ears perked to listen to the teacher, and her hand writing away the notes that was to be taken. Her status was known as Tsukino Usagi. She was the oddball of the class. Not that she always hasn't been, but now, she was a different sort of oddball. She had no friends, no boyfriend, never talked, and always kept her grades at an advanced level. Really, she never made any effort to make any new friends or fail for that matter. Just the last year, she had transferred to the school and it was as if she was still new and alone. Yet, her whole class knew her name and somewhat looked at her as a psycho.
Although as they gossiped, they also marveled at her looks. Her eyes were cerulean blue and could take any man and strip away his dignity. Her hair was blonde and beautiful. She usually had it up in two buns atop her head with only streams of hair falling, but whenever she came to school with it down, it almost touched the floor and people felt as if they could swim in the soft, golden waterfall.
But for today, she had the waterfall bound in those famous buns and people didn't really pay attention as their focus was on the teacher. Well, at least most of the class. Right behind the lonely goddess, sat a jock. His ego was high, equipment was loaded, and his charm was perfect. His status was known as Kou Seiya. He was the popular guy of the school. He was also in the band "Three Lights" but it was no garage band. His vocals and lyrics were known nation wide and he did it with the help of his fellow band members that seemed to take girls up as lottery tickets.
Of course Usagi knew him. She knew almost everyone in her grade, just like everyone in her grade knew her. If you would call it, she was infatuated with the infamous Kou Seiya. He was everything her ex-fiancé was. His hair was lovely shade of raven that shone in the light like silk. His eyes were as beautiful and the darkest blue. Many people of both sexes could get lost in those eyes. But, beneath the pretty colors, there laid deceit and ruthlessness. The raven-haired beauty wasn't one to commit. He was known to "sail and bail" whenever it came to his girlfriends. Rumors went around that he broke all the virgins in the school. But they always excluded Usagi…even though, she was broken…

After school, she took her time to go to her locker and walk to the bus stop. Her house was on the other side of the city and was impossible to walk if you wanted to get to school on time. She used to walk to school, but she transferred. Always, she carried her money in the little breast-pocket the school had sewn on her shirt and rode the gigantic vehicle for two hours before setting off to home. She would walk in, do her homework, and then set off to work at around seven in the evening. Money was needed to pay the bills.

"Seiya, will you stop it?!"
"What?" the teenage idol looked over at his companion. His stature was a couple of inches shorter than him and his hair was thin and silver, with the same trademark ponytail that Seiya's was in. Lime green eyes pierced through his dark blue ones as he glared.
"You're messing up the song! We'll never be finished with rehearsal if you keep singing off key!!"
"Jesus Yaten, calm down, don't have a heart attack."
"Our label is to be out by next month!! Don't tell me to calm down!!"
"…calm down."
Seiya then dodged an on-going book thrown by Yaten, but was then caught by its owner.
"Why did you have to bring *Izumi into this?"
The owner's stature was towering and also his intelligence. His hair was chestnut brown and in the same hairstyle. Apart from green and blue, his eye color was a wicked shade of mauve that could put a moral to death if angered.
"Sorry Taiki…it's Yatens' time of the month." Seiya answered.
"SHUT THE FU--!"
"There will be no swearing in my presence!!" Taiki interrupted, his mauve eyes already projecting violence.
Yaten gave his usual glare to him and put down his guitar that was being held by his neck. "I give up for today, I should work on homework."
"Oh, that reminds me…Taiki, could you help me with the literature crap. I don't get it." The raven-haired idol asked as he put down the sheet music and ran to his book bag.
"Sorry Seiya, but I'm due to tutor another person in about an hour. And you and literature don't mix in an hour. Why don't you go to the school and get a tutor from the list of students they have?"
At that, his nose wrinkled in disgust. "But…all the tutors are ugly."
"Well then ask a friend for help if you're so worked up on seducing a tutor before learning from her…" The tallest light rolled his eyes before walking into the hallway toward his room.
"You have the same friends I do and they're just as bad as me!"
"Why don't you ask Tsukino Usagi for help?" Yaten stated, now part of the conversation.
"Who?" Seiya asked.
"Tsukino Usagi."
"What's so special about her?"
"Well, she's smart. So she could probably help you."
He blinked in wonderment and leaned back against the couch Yaten was sitting on. "What's that name again?"
"Tsukino Usagi…dumb-ass."
"I know her!" Taiki exclaimed as he walked back into the living room with his book bag and homework in hand. "She's real talented, but quiet. Although, a very beautiful specimen."
"Yeah, I heard she doesn't have any friends either. Kind of an oxymoron if you think about it." The silver-haired light said.
"Is she a sophomore?" Seiya asked, trying to go through all the girls in the school.
"She's in our homeroom you dolt!" Yaten yelled. "She sits in front of you!"
"OOOOH!! So that's her! Never really paid any attention."
"You cease to amaze me." Taiki stated. "Everyone in our grade knows about her. They call her 'the silent angel'."
"Wow, nice title." the raven-haired idol shuffled through his literature papers, losing interest in the conversation.
---
His head laid in his arms as his eyes closed to see dreams. It would be fifteen minutes before the bell would ring and Taiki insisted on getting to school early. Well, didn't really do him any good to stay up most of the night trying to figure out the homework. It wasn't due until the next week anyways. There were a few students mingling about in the classroom, but no one he knew, and no one he would be caught dead with. But then, his eyes landed on the seat in front of him. Empty…supposedly, that's where "the silent angel" sat. Why wouldn't he know her? He knew every girl in the school. This Tsukino Usagi seemed to be pretty well-known. But who gives? She's probably worth nothing. Maybe worth getting tutored, but he would only be nice to her for that amount of time.
His eyes only closed for a short amount of time before he was being tapped.
"She's here."
Seiya looked up at the voice to see Yaten standing above him as he pointed to the desk in front of them.
Her hair was in a very weird hairstyle. It was like pigtails, but they had buns at the top. And her hair was a shade of gold that he would think no one would possess as hair color. He studied her face a bit and focused on her long eyelashes. Her nose wasn't too big, but rather small, yet perfect. Her lips were full and were in the form of a pout. * Great kissing lips… * thought Seiya as he stared on at Usagi.
Yaten had already left and it was up to him to make the move.
"Hey…" he called to her.
She didn't turn around, maybe she didn't hear him.
"Hey…!"
Still didn't give him a notion.
Well, already he was fed up for repeating himself one time and took a drastic measure of tugging on her hair rather hard.
She gave a little squeak as she felt her head being yanked and her hair almost pulled out. Her little hands took a stream that hurt the most and looked toward the culprit.
"Sorry, I had to get your attention somehow."
She didn't answer, but merely looked at him in pain.
"Um…my name's Seiya." he held out his hand in a friendly gesture.
Usagi looked at his hand before taking it cautiously and saying her name back.
"I was wondering if maybe you could tutor me sometime before next week."
"Tutor you? For what?"
"I'm not the best at literature stuff and I'm having trouble with my homework. My brother won't help me, and my other one's just as stupid as I am…" Seiya chuckled and watched her smile.
"Well, I can see. I'm not part of the group that offers tutoring."
"I know, but I wanted a person that I can understand whenever they try to explain things to me. And people say you're smart so I picked you."
Usagi looked down and blushed lightly as his comment.
"I'll see what I can do…"
"Great, thanks."
