In a shop in a department store:

Amy and Lita were out of the weather and enjoying a light lunch at the restaurant of a big department store. A girl with chestnut hair ran in, a gym bag over her shoulder and a kitten perched on her head. Amy recognized her and looked up. "What's up Ames?" Lita asked.

Amy pointed to the girl, who now had gone over to a table not too far from theirs with four other girls. "Sorry I'm late! I met a really cool girl at the track." They heard her apologize.

"She's a new student in my class. Her name's Hannah Calder." Amy said.

Lita watched the younger girl closely. She tuned into the girl's conversation. "So Kaze, did I miss anything?" Hannah asked.

"Well, Rhea got her tail stuck in a door. But besides that you didn't miss anything." The aqua haired girl, Kaze, said.

Then a squeaky, high-pitched voice like Diana's grumpily said "Yeah well, my tail still hurts from that."

Lita blinked in stared at the white kitten that had spoken. `Am I hearing things?' she wondered.

The arrival of her other two friends, Raye and Mina, cleared any thoughts of the kitten. Mina sat down next to Amy and Raye sat next to Lita. "Who're you watching?" Raye asked.

"That group of new students at our school." Lita replied gesturing at the girls. Before they could say anything else there was an explosion outside the department store. Lita glanced out the window and saw a man with red hair and green eyes floating in the air, shooting beams of red energy out of his hands. The four looked at each other and nodded. They slipped off and went onto the roof to transform.

Hannah quirked an eyebrow at the man outside and quietly said to her friends "And the war begins."

The other four nodded grimly. The brown haired girl and her friends slipped away unnoticed. Once they were sure that they were alone in the hall, the girls took sticks out of their pockets. Scout Power Sticks. Hannah held hers up and said quietly "JUPITER PLANET POWER!"

The others followed.

"NEPTUNE PLANET POWER!" Kaze chanted.

"VENUS PLANET POWER!" Kate cried.

"MARS PLANET POWER!" said Lilly.

"MERCURY PLANET POWER!" Misty said last.

On the Department Store Rooftop:

Lita, Raye, Amy and Mina had transformed into Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Venus. They had engaged the man in battle….and weren't having much success.

"Mars Flame Sniper." Mars fired her arrow at the man. Catching it he snapped it in two and sneered "Is that the best you got? Pathetic."

Suddenly a green arrow shoot out of nowhere, hitting the wall beside the man's head. The scouts turned. Five figures were on the next rooftop. "Who are you?" The man growled.

The five came into view. One wore a Jupiter sailor uniform, and had chestnut colored hair that was up in a ponytail and emerald green eyes. The next wore a Mercury uniform, and had blue hair and blue eyes. Next, one with a Mars uniform, long black hair and violet eyes. Next, Neptune uniform, shoulder length aqua hair and aqua eyes. The last one, Venus uniform, long blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Soldier of lightning and Jupiter of the future and leader of these scouts, I am Sailor Emerald!" The green clad one announced.

"Soldier of fire and Mars of the future, I am Sailor Ruby!" the red clad one.

"Soldier of Ice and Mercury of the future, I am Sailor Sapphire!" blue clad one.

"Soldier of water, Neptune and Uranus of the future, I am Sailor Aquamarine!" aqua clad one.

"And Soldier of love, beauty and Venus of the future, I am Sailor Crystal!" the orange clad one.

"We're the Star Scouts!" they shouted in unison.

The Sailor Scouts gasped. "Now state your name." Sailor Emerald smirked.

"I am Girasol." the man growled.

"Really? I thought a better name would be idiotic, ugly, scum." Emerald replied. Girasol shot a beam of red energy at the young scout. She smiled and caught it in her hand, making it vanish.

"Try this." she smirked and sent a blast of green lightning at Girasol. It sent him slamming into the pavement. Sailor Scouts watched in awe as the Star Scouts flew down to him. Emerald crouched by Girasol and said in a deadly voice "Now Girasol, you have ten seconds to tell me who you work for."

"I ain't telling."

"Nine."

"NO!"

"Eight."

Silence

"Seven."

Nothing

"Six."

Still nothing

"Five."

Girasol's eyes widened when he realized the girl wasn't kidding.

"Please, spare me!"

"Four."

"I beg you!"

"Three."

"IT WAS LADY QUARTZ!" he shouted.

Emerald stopped counting and stood up. "Thank you." She turned away and looked at Ruby. "Get rid of him." she ordered. Ruby turned to Girasol and blasted him into oblivion. The Star Scouts turned to the Sailor Scouts.

"How could you just kill him like that?!" Jupiter screamed.

Emerald looked at her and replied "As long as he was alive, he remained a threat."

Jupiter started forward expecting the two year younger girl to back off. However, Emerald smirked and said "Go ahead Jupiter. Attack me."

Jupiter charged and threw a punch. Emerald blocked it with two fingers. She then grabbed Jupiter's arm and threw her back into Sailor Mercury. The Scouts were surprised when Emerald bowed politely and said "I am truly sorry for having to do that, but it was necessary in my opinion to show you that I do not back down easily." she stood straight again and finished "Now we must be going now. See you!"

The Star Scouts vanished.
