Chapter 3

At the next scout meeting the four scouts informed the outers, Serena, Luna and Artemis of the Star Scouts. Over the next six weeks, the Star Scouts made several more appearances; each time arriving right after the Sailor Scouts. .

At The Star Scouts's mansion:

Kaze, Hannah, Luna Belle, Rhea (Kate's white kitten), and Ariel (Kaze's black/white kitten) sat in the living room.

"She's getting stronger." Hannah said darkly.

"Lady Quartz?" Luna belle asked.

"Those youma are just the beginning. Soon, she'll come herself, backed by a few thousand of her droids to destroy the city." Hannah explained.

"We have to stop her destruction here."

"Princess, what about the Sailor Scouts?" Rhea asked.

"They're okay I guess, just don't count on them too much" Hannah replied as she stood up, turning away.

"Where're you going Hannah?" Kaze asked.

"For…a walk." The Jovian replied as she went out the front door.

Hannah wandered around the park aimlessly. Her thoughts turned to her life in Crystal Tokyo. Her boyfriend, James, had had to stay behind in the future, to protect the royalties or something. And her family…well, Hannah didn't even know if they were still alive.

Hannah was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice someone running towards her until.

CRASH!

Hannah found herself flat on her back, stunned, little stars swimming in front of her eyes.

`Heh, look at the pretty stars…' she thought dazedly.

Suddenly she snapped out of her out-of-it state when someone started talking.

"I'm so sorry; I should've been watching where I was going!"

Hannah blinked and took the hand the girl offered her, climbing to her feet. She looked at the girl, who was still apologizing. She looked like an older version of Lilly.

Just as the girl was about to apologize again Hannah said "Its okay, that was partly my fault anyway."

The violet eyed girl smiled and introduced herself.

"I'm Raye Hino."

Hannah shook her hand briefly.

"Hannah Ki-Calder."

The Jovian Princess grimaced mentally; she had almost slipped up and said Kino instead of Calder.

"Aren't you the new girl at Amy and Serena's school?" Raye asked.

Hannah smiled slightly, nodding.

"Why don't you come to my temple for a while? We're having study buddies right now, but my grandpa sent me to get some things." Raye glanced at the bag in her hand.

Hannah hesitated then said "Sure. Why not?"

Lita stared at the question; she looked up at Amy…who was having no trouble whatsoever. She sweatdropped, and glanced at Serena and Mina. Serena had fallen asleep…again. Mina was doodling absently on her paper. Sighing, Lita tried once again to think of a Greek proverb.

The door slid open and Raye walked in.

"Hey guys! Look who I ran into." She said, grinning.

Lita, Mina, and Amy looked up curiously. A voice spoke from behind Raye, "Yeah, she ran into me, literally."

Hannah Calder walked in, smiling. Her vivid green eyes looked over them and she raised an eyebrow once she saw Serena. Raye frowned, walked over and poked Serena in the ribs. Nothing happened. Raye rolled her eyes and sat down in front of her books. Hannah sat down beside her. Lita decided to skip the Greek proverb and move onto the next one.

"Hey, Mina. Do you know a Chinese proverb?" Lita asked hopefully.

"Yeah. A book is like a garden carried in a bucket." Mina stated cheerfully. Mina then frowned slightly, "Wait no, that's not it…err…."

"A book is like a garden carried in the pocket. Not a bucket" said a soft voice. Lita and Mina looked up and saw Hannah, looking at their papers. Mina laughed, "Yeah, that's what I meant."

Hannah spent the next two hours helping them with homework. Something started scratching the door. Hannah got up and opened the door. It was Luna Belle.

"Princess, there's a whole patrol of Lady Quartz's droids in the city. We need to go!" Luna Belle squeaked quietly.

Hannah went back inside and said hurriedly "There's a problem at home I need to see too. Thanks for inviting me over Raye, well, I gotta go!"

With that she darted out the door.

"Ookkayyy…" Mina said slowly.
