The girl, or woman if you looked beneath the appearance, sat alone. The moon shone like a pearl, but the girl couldn't see it behind the dark clouds. It was raining, and she could hear the soft pitter-patter of the rainwater hitting the still water in the fountain. The occasional rumble of an oncoming storm could be heard, but it didn't face her. The girl hung her head, and her short, black hair hung over her face in thick, wet strands. She was soaked; her black clothes sticking to her uncomfortably. The girl had no shoes, and her feet were wet and wrinkled from the rain. She forgot them in her rush to leave. Or maybe, she just didn't care.

"Hotaru!" She heard on the wind.

"No..." The girl whispered, then began running, dropping something by the bench she sat on, not stopping to retrieve it.
