"Eh?!" Goku said, nearly choking on his food, looking up at the woman after she announced that dreaded piece of news, now he was wondering how they were going to work that out without getting into a fight. Gojyo almost cried when the girl said there were only double beds.
"Right that settles it! I am not sharing a double bed with chimpy here!"

"And I don't wanna share a room with you either!" Goku said around a mouth-full of food glaring up at the red head.

"Don't you think I freakin' know that you stupid chimp! It's not me that's forcing you to sleep in the same room it's that priest of an owner of yours, take it out with him!" Gojyo spat back angrily.

Hakkai said nothing, in fact he was oblivious to the things going on around him idly stroking the dragons head as he looked at the paintings on the wall.

"Double??" even Sanzo looked shocked turning to the monkey and kappa. "I'm not sharing a double bed with any of you!"

"So what are we supposed to do!?" Goku asked angrily. There was no way he was sharing a room with Gojyo and Hakkai. That was just too much. Hakkai was ok but Gojyo was too annoying.

"Oh yes you fucking will be, Sanzo." Gojyo replied, he wasn't going to share a room with both Hakkai and Goku. He was starting to get a bit irritated with the priests stubbornness.

"I...I-I'm sorry... that's a-all we have." the girl said suddenly, leaving the keys on the table with the food. "It's the first floor. The rooms face each other. Good night." she said and left.

Sanzo picked up one key and stood up raising his hand. "We leave early in the morning." he said and began to walk away with the key. It was indeed a small hostel, but still, at least it had breakfast. Sanzo put the fag in his mouth and opened the door. To make matters worse the double bed was the small type of double bed. He sighed and walked in. Of course he would end up sharing his room. But Goku kicked, Hakkai snored and Gojyo, well, was Gojyo. He closed the door but didn't lock it. One of those baka's would end up coming along anyway. He dropped the top half of his clothes and sat on the bed, by the window, opening it so the smoke of the fag would go away.

Gojyo saw Sanzo enter one of the rooms and so came to a stop outside the room after he'd closed the door, Goku shouldn't have been to far behind him, unless of course he was to occupied with stuffing his face still. He took a draw of the cigarette he still had in his hand, damn it all to hell it was nearly finished. Not shifting from the doorframe he raised a hand and knocked on the door.
"Yo, monk...is it ok for me to come in? Or would I be interrupting your peace and quiet?"

"Tsc..." he sounded and sighed. "You interrupted when you asked." he said from the bed. "C'mon in and I'll kill you" he added, but it was obvious he didn't mean it. He stared outside wondering what kind of youkai Kougaiji and Doku were looking for and if it was related to the nearby youkai village.

The red-head smirked a little, something told him he didn't intend to carry out that threat.
"Heh, if you say so." He muttered before turning the handle to open the door and slipped into the room, shutting it after he'd entered. He didn't move from the door yet, he took another draw from the cigarette, it would last another few draws at least.
He eventually moved away from the door and came to sit on the opposite side of the bed facing away from Sanzo.
"So, what's on your mind blondie? The events that are going on?"

Sanzo glanced as Gojyo sat on the bed. Damn it, he would indeed have to share his bed and it was so small for two grown men of their size. "I don't know, but we attract youkai wherever we go, and Kougaiji being here doesn't help. Only if there is someone else controling these youkai." He threw his fag outside the window and got off the bed.

"True, it could be a possibilty." The kappa replied, taking one last long draw of his cigarette before following Sanzo's actions and threw his out of the window, there wasn't anywhere to stub it against.

"I'm taking a shower first, you will have to take one too, I'm not sleeping with you...." that sounded weird, Sanzo decided to rephrase it." I'm not sleeping on the same bed as you if you don't shower." He got into the bathroom and closed the door.

His head turned towards the priest, yes that had indeed sounded weird. Just as well he rephrased it though.
"Heh, I was planning on taking one anyway, then again if I didn't you'd be forced to sleep on the floor, haha!" He replied jokingly before adding his next little part to the sentence.
"Just don't use all the hot water up, and don't take forever either!"
With that said he lay back on the bed, placing his arms behind his head as he looked up at the ceiling.
'Godamnit, this bed is tiny...ok not exactly but still...sharing with that monk may turn out to be somewhat amusing.'

Sanzo turned on the water and went under it. His thoughts about the youkai washed away with the running warm water. Strangely enough he was thinking about that stupid sentence he said to Gojyo. What a mistake! What if he has funny ideas? It's Gojyo after all, he's a pervert! It wouldn't be the first they shared rooms, or beds, it would happen from time to time in their journey. That's how he knew Goku kicked and Hakkai snored but it was ok to share with Gojyo, even though he wouldn't admit such thing.

Gojyo left the room and went back downstairs, he knew he'd forgotten something before running after that priest...the bags, he grabbed them and went straight back up and into the room leaving them at the side of the door. He then went back onto the bed and went back to thinking about anything that came to mind, he'd had a thought on the events that had happened in this town...then drifted onto what Sanzo had said earlier and had to rephrase, he just laughed at the thought, no doubt that silly blonde would think he'd try something...then again he could always do something for a joke and see how he'd react of course.
Sanzo finally finished in the shower after 20 minutes and came out his towel wrapped around his body, his hair still wet.

"Did any of you remember to bring up our stuff kappa?”

Gojyo was still in so much thought that he hadn't heard the priest come out of the shower. He did however jump at the sound of the priests voice, even though he tried to make it look like he had done that on purpose, naturally.
"Our stuff? Yeah...I thought I'd be nice and go get them, it'd save your cute self from getting exercise."
He grinned adding a wink, yep that's right he was putting his little plan into action, but he sort of meant it at the same time. He got off the bed and headed through to the shower room, making sure there was of course a towel first of all, and there was. He didn't say anything else as he closed the door behind him and switched the water on while he began to get undressed.

Sanzo stared at the door in disbelief. 'A wink? What did he mean by that? Did he indeed thought something weird about what I said?', Sanzo kept thinking to himself as he put on his pj's. Gojyo was taking some time in the bathroom and he kept staring at the door, ready to shut his eyes when Gojyo opened. 'If he touches me he is dead, pervert...' he thought.

Gojyo took a little longer than Sanzo had in the bathroom, about an extra ten minutes or so to be exact. He turned the water off and dried his hair off a good bit before wrapping the towel around his waist and heading back through to the room. He raided through his bag and got hold of a pair of boxers for his PJ's, the bed was small enough to be a large single bed and with the two of them sleeping in it, it was more than likely to be warm under the covers...or just a bit warmer than usual. After he slipped on the boxers he sat on the bed again glancing over to Sanzo.
"You ok there, monk?"

“Tch,”

 

 

Goku and Hakkai headed upstairs a while later and walked into the room they'd be sharing. Goku looked at the small bed while placing his bag down beside the door. He wanted to ask the lady if she was sure it was a double bed, but he didn't have the heart to annoy her. He quickly got changed, noticing Hakkai was still quiet from earlier and he didn't want to annoy the healer by asking him questions so he shrugged it off and dove onto the bed.
"I'm going to sleep, good night." he said, snuggling into the blankets, at least the bed was comfy.

Hakkai merely nodded at the youth in answer, the healer sighed and ran a hand through his hair before collecting things from his own bag, setting Hakuryu down on the chair and went to the bathroom to take a well earned shower…perhaps it'd help clear that clouded mind of his as well.

After the shower he quickly got changed into his clothing for the next day, his PJ's would have to get washed first before he wore them again. He left the room and crossed the corridor knocking gently on the priest and kappa's door.

Gojyo's head turned from Sanzo to the door, Who could that be at this hour? He stood up and stretched a little before making a start towards the door.
"I'll get it."
He said to Sanzo before the monk could get up, not that he was probably going to answer it anyway he was probably expecting him to get up and answer it. Reaching the door his hand took hold of the handle and turned it, opening the door a little just to catch a glimpse at the person who knocked on the door before opening the door fully.
"Hakkai? Come on in. I'm sure our ever so loving priest won't mind."

"Thanks Gojyo." The healer said in thanks, entering the room coming to sit on the red-heads side of the bed a hand running through his chocolate brown hair. Gojyo followed him back to the bed also sitting on it. He yawned a little not even bothering to hide it with a hand, great what a time to start getting tired. Sanzo would probably be asleep before him, not that he minded. It meant he'd be asleep quicker to, considering Sanzo never kicked in his sleep like Goku did, nor did he snore -at least he hadn't heard him snore yet- like Hakkai could either. To be honest, he liked sharing a room with the priest more than the other two, not that he'd admit that out loud.
"I can't sleep. My head is spinning with different feelings and I don't know how to handle them." He said through a sigh, shaking his head a moment later looking up to Gojyo.

Gojyo's scarlet red eyes soon glanced over to the brunette, sitting on his part of the bed as he spoke of not being able to sleep.
"What feelings do you mean, if it's not too rude to ask? You have been a little quieter than you usually would be." He waited a moment, perhaps Hakkai wouldn't really want to discuss it with both he and Sanzo in the room, but then again he could be wrong.

"Anyway enough about me. So how are you and Sanzo getting on? You haven't started annoying him have you?" Hakkai laughed completely bypassing Gojyo's question.

Gojyo sighed a little not being able to get something from him and then smirked a little at Hakkai's other question.
"Of course I've not being annoying Sanzo...I do like living more than you think, Hakkai."
He said adding a small laugh, he wasn't going to annoy the priest that much as to have the gun trained on him while he slept, he just felt like teasing him a little. Speaking of the monk, he turned his head back to the priest who was being quiet.
"Hm? I think a certain kawaii blonde is tired...or just being quiet." He said adding a grin along with another wink, this would do for his little 'play' until tomorrow. His words didn't lie either when he spoke of the monk, well...a certain word at least. Sanzo had been quiet, pretending to be asleep, until he heard the 'kawaii' part, which bothered him a quite a bit.

"Kawaii ja nai yo…" he complained from his pillow and shifted on his side to look at them. "Are you trying to chat me up or something?" he said to Gojyo with a sleepy yawn sitting up on the bed and reaching for a fag.

"Aw how can you say you're not cute?"
Gojyo grinned a little adding a laugh when he asked the next question, maybe he was and maybe he wasn't he'd let the monk decide that for himself. Sanzo picked up 2 from the pack and handed one to Gojyo, then lit his one.

Gojyo took the cigarette adding a 'thanks' as he did so. He then reached into his bag at the side of the bed and pulled out his lighter, lighting the fag. His eyes then glanced towards Hakkai again as Sanzo questioned him.

"What's troubling you, Hakkai?”

"Yeah, tell us what's up." The kappa added leaning back a little looking at him questioningly

Hakkai put on a fake smile, the more fake one than what he usually wore, the one that Gojyo could tell that he was going into bullshit mode.

"Oh really. You don't have to worry. It is something really, really silly. Don't know why I decided to bother you with it."
Hakkai stood up and smiled at them both.
"I'm sorry for bothering you." Hakkai waves a little too cheerily at them and went back into his room with Goku. Sanzo and Gojyo stared on after him, Gojyo's eyes a little narrowed, he hated it when Hakkai went into that bullshit mode. Shaking his head he finished his smoke a little quicker than usual turning his head to the monk.

"Ne, don't suppose you could get the lights, when you feel like going to sleep." He asked, adding a smirk. He could have done it himself but he couldn't be bothered to.

Sanzo watched Hakkai leave as well. It was obvious something was bothering him and because he was being so secretive it worried Sanzo even more. He decided he would have a talk with him after breakfast tomorrow. He has so distracted with that that he actually turned the lights off after putting his fag out, that is, thrown out of the window again. He stared at the night sky for a short while and turned to bed again. That's when he remembered that Gojyo was in, which he had forgotten for a moment. He stared at him from the window and sighed annoyed. Gojyo had left almost no room for him in the bed!
Well, there was little to be done, he would either squeeze in with Gojyo or sleep on the floor, which he wouldn't in a million years, he would rather shoot the red-head and throw his dead body on the floor. With another sigh he laid down next to Gojyo. "Move over" he muttered and closed his eyes. Gojyo's hair smelt quite nice after the shower.

"Tsc, what a stupid thought, I must be really tired." he whispered to himself.

Gojyo heard that, he never replied to it with anything other than a small mumble of mixed up words, but he did indeed move over just enough that Sanzo had enough room without having to whinge at him again. He was finding it a bit hard to sleep properly for some reason and hearing Sanzo speak again caught his attention.
"Hmm? What must be a stupid thought?"

Sanzo opened his eyes and looked at Gojyo briefly.

"What?... it's nothing." he said closing his eyes again. He didn't realize he had actually spoken it. "Thanks for moving over." he muttered again. "Now shut up and sleep."

Gojyo blinked, did he just thank him for doing something without sounding sarcastic? He wasn't about to complain, he gave a small laugh though.
"Hai, hai...oyasumi nasai, Sanzo-chan" He partly smirked at the chan part he figured Sanzo would've been too tired to realise that he had added that. He then closed his eyes and tried to drift off to sleep.

 

Meanwhile sauntering about the town…

Kougaji had looked around with Doku till night fall searching the city for clues and leads. They came back to the hotel and decided to camp outside that night since he didn't feel right with staying indoors with the Sanzo gang.

"Doku...are you alright?...."

Dokugakuji looked up, then blinked and nodded

"Y-yes, Lord Kougaiji. I'm alright, why do you ask?" He smiled a bit at him, trying to look reassuring. Kougaiji eyed his companion. He leaned over to him and said in a low voice.

"You are shaking....we need to find a room...you are my friend I cant' let anything happen to you...answer..." He looked at him square in the eyes. Doku shook his head

"No, I'm fine, really, just a little cold." He grins boyishly at his master, ears wiggling slightly as his face changed emotions, trying to seem as carefree as possible. He saw the change of emotion. It made him think that he was more than cold, but he would have to wait for the rest. "come on..." He stood up pulling doku with him. "there is a place we can stay...." He walked along the hotel to the back. He looked at doku to follow and went into the wall. It was room in which the humans couldn't see in the hotel. The owner was once a demon so he had a hidden room for those of high stature. The pair quickly settled down, drifting off after clambering into the two beds.
