" You wanted to see me, my lord?"

" Yes, Kikumon," Kibaomaru said. " I want to know why you have not disposed of Bakunetsumaru yet."

" He is a difficult one to deal with…" She admitted while lowering her head. " It seems that the Knight from Lacroa's death has made him more formidable than ever."

" Are you suggesting that you cannot handle it?" Kibaomaru asked.

" Oh course not!" Kikumon snapped. " I am fully capable of riding our presence with that speck! It's just going to need a bit more elbow geese…"

" Very well then. Try to come up with a plan to destroy him this time."

" I will sire."

" And Kikumon…"

" Yes?"

" Don't fail me again."

" As you wish. I will not fail."

*****

Bakunetsumaru hid in the shadows of that night near the bridge. He took out the letter and read it over again.

" Bakunetsumaru,

Come to this bridge and face me.

Kikumon."

He double-checked the coordinates of where he was supposed to be. This was the right place, so where was she?

He decided to come out if his hiding spot, and go onto the bridge. He cautiously looked around him as he went towards the center of it. He stood there for a few minutes, then started to hear something. He tensed as he heard a clattering sound come from the right tunnel. He couldn't tell what it was at first, but then he realized it was horses. He started to see two black stallions gallop out of the tunnel, dragging along a carriage.

Baku stood to the side and watched the carriage as it went by. It started to slow to a stop. The horses neighed softly while they moved about in their spots. Bakunetsumaru walked up to the carriage, then stood a few feet away from the door.

" You always did love carriages," Baku commented before the door opened.

" And how would you know?" said a mysterious voice from inside. Baku blinked. " Wait, you're not Kikumon…" He took a step closer. " Uh, who are you?"

"…You must turn back, Bakunetsumaru."

" What? Why?!"

" This is only a trap made by Kikumon."

" So, I don't care! Hey, how do you know who I am anyway?"

" That is none of your concern…if you want to live, then you must turn back now before she arrives." Baku scuffed.

" Why should I?"

" Then are you going to go back on the promise you made to the Winged Knight?" Bakunetsumaru froze on the spot.

" W…What did you say?" Baku breathed.

" Turn back now, Bakunetsumaru…" The Carriage then was on its way away from him. He watched for a while until it disappeared into the other tunnel.

Baku couldn't figure out who I was, but decided to heed their words and leave…

But how did they know about Zero?

**

Bakunetsumaru returned back to base, and decided to go to bed early before he changed his mind about the bridge meeting. Who was in there? They knew Zero…but how? And how did they know about him and Kikumon as well?

Baku started to get a headache from all this thinking. He turned to face his door, but something on the floor caught his eye. He looked down and saw a bouquet of flowers sitting next to his door. They were of many different kinds, tulips, baby's breath, lilies, carnations, and a lot more. He blinked in wonderment while picking them up. He then saw a card attached to them

` You made the right choice, Bakunetsumaru.'

Baku sweatdroped. Was that guy back at the bridge a stalker? He shook his head, while opening the door. This was weird; just very weird. He's looking forward to a good night's sleep right now. He went in, then put the flowers on the dresser. He'll put them in water in the morning. He then crawled into bed and sighed. Sleep sounded so good right now…

**************************

Bakunetsumaru sat at a white table at a café, watching people walk by with their daily lives. Funny, he didn't remember coming here…

He saw someone at the corner of his eye sit down next to him. He turned to see who it was, then screamed while falling out of his chair. No one around him seemed to notice.

" Zero!"

Zero the Winged Knight blinked down at Bakunetsumaru innocently. " Did I startle you?" he asked. Baku got back up into his seat.

" Fucking hell you did!" Baku snapped. " You're dead; why do you keep coming into my dreams and scaring me like this?!"

Zero looked a little hurt. " So, I guess you don't want me around…?"

" No no!" Baku said quickly. " It's not that! I mean---er…never mind…"

" Still afraid of ghosts, I see," Zero chuckled. " It's alright, I understand, sweetheart." Baku blushed faintly.

" Don't call me that.."

" Would thy prefer Sugar Dumpling?"

" No."

" Sweet Cakes?"

" No."

" Baby Doll?"

" Zero…" Zero laughed. " Alright, I will stop with trying to give you a pet name, firefly." Baku sighed while rolling his eyes.

" So, what's troubling you today, Baku-chan?" Zero asked while leaning his head in his hands.

" Just this weird guy came by and warned me about Kikumon…"

" Oh?"

" Yeah, and he knows you, me and Kikumon!"

" Really?"

" And then later on…he sent me flowers!" Zero made a face of loath. " I don't like this guy already," he said. Baku smiled.

" I knew you wouldn't." Baku had these dreams once in a while, though he never remembers them when he's awake. But when he's asleep, he remembers all the dreams and daytime events that he's had.

A waiter came by and gave the two some tea to drink. " Hope you don't mind." Zero picked up his cup and took a sip.

" Not at all…" Baku glanced around. " So, café time today?" Zero nodded. " Yes, I felt like new vista would be appropriate."

" You always say that though." Zero shrugged. " I say a lot of thing, love." Baku drank his tea. Herbal tea, his favorite. He put the cup down and looked over at Zero.

" You know I hate you, Zero," Baku said. Zero looked away.

" I know…but I didn't know Cobramaru would do that." He sighed sadly. " I really didn't want to leave you, Baku….you know that." Zero was right, it wasn't entirely his fault.

" Yeah, it was mine."

" Don't start that again!"

" Well, it's the truth! If I had dodged that attack, I would've--"

" Gotten yourself killed like I did." Zero looked at Baku sternly, then shook his head. " Bakunetsumaru, your people believe in reincarnation, right?" Zero changed the subject a bit.

" Right…"

" Then don't worry, I'll come back in due time."

" Hopefully before my one hundredth birthday…" Zero laughed, then grabbed Baku and pulled him into his lap.

" Bakunetsumaru, you are too paranoid. It's like I told you when you were terrorizing the citizens of Neotopia on your first day there; RELAX!" Zero shouted the last word in Baku's ear. He jumped.
" Zero!" Zero cuddled the grumpy samurai. " Oh, don't be that way," Zero pleaded cutely while nuzzling Baku's neck. Baku closed his eyes and blushed faintly again.

He hated it when Zero would act cute, and put his charm on the samurai. But he couldn't do anything about it except to give in, and that option he didn't mind much. ^ ~

" By the way," Baku said. " I never did get to ask you if that love enhancer Kikumon put on you wore off…"

Zero thought for a second. " Well, during the fight, it kicked in for a slight second, but it disappeared quickly because we were in danger…and at the dance, it really wanted to take hold…" Zero hugged Baku tightly. " But now that I'm dead, it's vanished." Baku gave a slight twitch.

" Don't remind me."

" What? Douth thou like being hugged by a dead man?" Zero joked. Baku didn't think it was very funny. Baku stood up and looked at Zero.

" So how long will this go on?" Zero looked at him. " What?"

" This whole talking to me when I'm asleep thing! I want you back with me now, Zero!"

" Baku, I already went through this with you…" Zero trailed off, seeing Bakunetsumaru's eyes water. Zero stood up. " Baku, don't…"

" I…I can't help it…" Zero embraced the red and white Gundam. " Don't worry. Since I'm on good behavior, I might be able to come back soon…"

" …How soon is soon?" Zero was silent. " Zero, how soon is soon?" Baku repeated. A little bead of sweat rolled down the side of Zero's head. " Er…ranging from a week to….. five thousand years….?"

BAM!

Baku hit Zero over the head with one of the chairs. Zero twitched on the ground. " Ow…."

" I can't wait that long, baka!!" Zero sat up. " Bakunetsumaru, you hot-headed little bitch, calm down!"

" Maybe I don't want to!" Baku protested. " Baku!"

" No!" Zero stood up, then pulled Baku into his arms. He gave him a quick kiss, then pulled away. " Will you behave now?" he asked. Baku sighed slightly in content, and slightly in annoyance.

" Oh, alright…. sorry." Zero hugged him. " It's okay, I know you're going crazy…but trust me, the pain will ease…"

Baku hugged back tightly. " I don't think it ever will, Zero…" Baku admitted. " It hurts too much to ever go away…I miss you…"
