8:20 in the morning and I'm typing! GOD I need a life! …or just to not be lazy? I dunno. X.x lol and I'm glad that some ppl were surprised by the identity of `the master' as well. LOL :p That was funny, everyone exclaimed the same thing in their reviews! Hahahaha!

" Drain, is everything prepared?" Zero asked as he and Drain stood in a cold, dark hallway somewhere. Drain nodded. " Good. And remember, I won't tolerate any mess-ups like last time."

" Don't worry, Sir Zero. Everything is in my capable hands."

" Capable, or clumsy?" Zero turned to leave.

" It is you who has become clumsy, master Zero." Zero stopped. " What was that?"

" You heard me," Drain said, not moving. " Ever since you were given the name of the Winged Knight, you have changed, and become more sloppy and careless with your work…"

" I have not. I've just…taken other things into consideration…"

" Such as?" Zero was silent for a moment. " Just get everything ready, Drain," Zero snapped.

" I will. But won't you reconsider returning to the old ways? It would make things so much easier for us…"

" Drain…I've already told you…"

" Zero, the Blood Cavalier?"

" DRAIN!" Zero shouted, getting annoyed. " I have told you to never mention that ever again! I am not like that anymore, do you hear me?"

" Yes. I apologize." Zero glared at him for a moment, then turned on his heel and walk away. Drain watched him disappear down in the shadows in disapproval.

" That samurai has been the root of all of this, isn't that right sir?" he muttered before he left as well. " Grown far too soft to be one of us anymore.."

" Zero!" Baku whined while banging on the knight's door. " Zero, I know you're in there! Open up or else!"

Zero, who was not very happy since his chat with Drain, locked himself up in his room for the day. " Or else what?"

" Or else…I…uhhh.." Baku thought for a moment. " Or else I'll never kiss you again!" The door immediately slammed open.

" You really wouldn't…would you?" Zero asked. " I'm not telling," Baku replied, then walked in. " So what's with you, Mr. Moody? Period again?" Zero shut the door, then leaned against it.

" You're the one who would be more than likely to have a menstruate problem around here, sweetie."

Baku put a hand on his chest, and pretended that someone shot him there. " That hurt, Zero!" he said while kneeling down to the ground. Zero laughed.

" You're such a drama queen, Bakunetsumaru."

" Takes one to know one." Baku went over and sat on Zero's bed. " So seriously, what's the matter? Why don't you come outside and train with me?" Zero fidgeted slightly.

" I…um…don't feel like it…" Baku raised an invisible eyebrow. " Come on! You never pass the opportunity to kick my ass, then flirt with me afterwards!" Baku tilted his head when he saw Zero look down.

" I'm just…having a bit of a bad day, Baku," he said. " And I just need to just not do anything at the moment." Baku frowned mentally.

" Oh…okay…" Baku then stood up. " Anything I can do to help?" Zero thought for a minute.

" Actually, there is…" Zero grabbed Baku and embraced him tightly. " Please tell me those three bitter sweet words that I've longed to hear for so long…" Zero pleaded in a whisper.

" I love you…" Baku breathed, resting his head on Zero's shoulder. Zero smiled. " My day just went from terrible to extravagant in three seconds; a new world record!" Baku pulled away from Zero.

" You have got to stop with the sarcasm, Zero."

" Sorry, it's becoming a habit now…" Baku rolled his eyes, then gave Zero a kiss on the cheek. " I'll see you later."

" Goodbye, firefly." Baku left, closing the door behind him. Zero heaved a heavy sigh, then went over to his window. It was closed by the dark drapes. He opened them up so that a crack of light streamed into the room, then quickly shut it up. " Mana….this is getting annoying for me…" Zero muttered while shaking his head from the light. He then glanced at the clock on the wall. " Five more hours…"

Zero was standing in a circular stone room somewhere far from the SDG base. It was cold, and dimly lit with torches that hung on the walls. In the center of this room was a pyramid shaped altar. Drain stood next to the alter, quiet and still. Zero walked up to him.

" Well, where is it?"

" Where is what?"

" Don't try to act cute with me. The cadaver, where is it?"

" It is on the top of the alter, as you have instructed." Zero nodded. " Excellent." Zero then flew up to the top, and gasped.

" Drain!!"

" What?"

" It's not here, you liar!" Drain tilted his head up. " But I just put it there!" Drain said, shocked that it wouldn't be up there. He climbed up the stairs, and saw that the crypt that the body was supposed to be in was empty. " What?!"

" Where is it?"

" I…I don't know…" Drain said. Zero sighed, knowing that this was a shock to Drain as it was to him. " …Forget it, we'll just have to get another one."

" But the others are already buried by now…"

" No…I don't mean like that…." Drain got a glint in his eyes. " I understand Milord. I shall ready the horses at once…"
Zero sighed while shaking his head. He would do anything to stop doing this, but he had very little choice. He just hoped his friends wouldn't figure anything out….

A young woman about the age of eighteen strolled down the streets in the middle of the night. She had neatly cut brown hair that fell onto her shoulders, and large, round glasses that framed her face. Tears streamed out of her baby blue eyes as she walked, not caring where she ended up.

" Why…what did I do wrong?" she asked herself after catching her boyfriend at a party kissing another girl. She was fairly innocent, and was very trusting as well.

She stopped walking when she heard a horse's neigh coming from down the street. She looked forward, and started to see an outline of something coming towards her. She didn't move.

A carriage rode up, and stopped next to the baffled teenager. Zero stepped out of it gracefully, and bowed. The girl blushed slightly.

" Greetings, my lovely young lady," Zero said smoothly while taking her hand. " I sensed that a beautiful maiden was distressed tonight, and have come forth to take away all your suffering and pain…" (A/N: Don't ya just wish that could happen after every breakup? :p)

The girl blushed while giggling slightly. She found this mecha to be very handsome and charming. Zero led the girl into the carriage. She sat down and asked, " What's your name?"

" My name, is Zero…" Zero said while closing the door to the carriage. " …But that will not matter to you very soon…" She blinked. " Why?"

" Because…" He turned to her, his eyes flashing red. " You will die tonight, my fair maiden."

From outside the carriage, you could hear a short, sharp scream, but the screaming ceased suddenly.

Zero stepped out of the carriage, eyes on the ground and feeling shameful for the crime he had committed. Blood was splattered on his chest, neck and face as though a bottle of red paint had exploded on him. He leaned against the carriage, and held his head in his hands.

" Mana please forgive me…" he whispered in a shaking voice.

Zero returned to his room later that night, well, it was actually four in the morning. He turned on the lamp and sighed deeply.

" Huh?" He then spotted something on his bed; a piece of paper. He picked it up and read it;

" Wazzup!

Hi Zero, hope you're day's better-- Love u!
<3 Baku
."

Zero smiled sadly, then held the piece of paper to his chest. " Sweet, innocent Bakunetsumaru…if only you knew…" He sat on the bed, still holding the letter close.

" If only you knew what a terrible beast I am…."
