Back to the Beginning...
My abscence from Mediaminer must be explained in full detail...my comp crashed, causing my account (which ws active at the time) to lock up on me, disallowing me to access it furthur. Now, my fics were lost to the account, so I must redo EVERYTHING from my previous fics in an attempt to recover them. My new account is Mikesterb23. I hope you Sonic fans will enjoy me being back as I will continue to write good (hopefully) fics. Gotta go go go!! Mikester out!!.................

Sunrise. ..another day had begun, and none was happier than one very fast orange hedgehog.
"Ah, a new day, great chances to blaze through this place in record time!!" Michael chuckled some as the golden waves of orange and red reflected off his orange fur, illuminating him slightly. "Well, no use just standing around here doing nothing!" Michael jumped off the hill he was sitting on and dashed full-speed into the horizon, leaving dust trails in his wake.
Two other hedgehogs were watching the young speedster as well, the blue one, known as Sonic, smiled as his son shot through the valley's of Eagle-Eye's outskirts with greatest of ease. "Thats what I call fast, Sonic, I never imagined that anyone or anything for that matter could reach those speeds, at least, without some sort of machine to help." the black hedgehog spoke to Sonic.
"Well, to tell ya the truth, Shadow, I really can't believe that he runs so fast either. Its like he got some sort of extra boost from my genes...but I don't see how he can run so fast when I never even managed to reach that velocity myself!" Sonic looked perplexed as did Shadow as to the origin of Michael's speed. "One thing is for certain, though...whatever Michael got from me and Amy can't be all that bad!" Sonic chuckled some at this comment, Shadow grinning some as his friends son continued to blaze through the fields.
"It can't be the shoes you got him for his fifth birthday, those shoes wouldn't have made it on the market for more then five seconds without a flock of hedgehogs wanting to get them. They seem so plain as well, just white with tints of blue, so it can't be them...Maybe one day we'll figure it out..." Shadow reasoned as he dashed off towards the East, leaving Sonic alone with his son making a U-turn back to him.
"Maybe we will, Shadow..."
Back at Eagle-Eye city, Amy Rose and Sonie were watching a program on TV about breakthrough cooking appliances and how they make life easier for people. Sonie was extremly turned off by this show, but Amy had her hammer in her right hand, ready to smack something aside the head if so needed.
"I don't see why we can't watch "1001 Arabian Hedgehogs, mom. This cooking show bites major Eggman butt!" Sonie complained, and was soon met with a bash oin the head from Amy's hammer.
"Don't be so noisy!! This is the best part!" Amy said, seemingly focused intently on this cooking show.
"Its a cooking show!!" Sonie shouted as he rubbed his forehead after Amy had hit him with her hammer there.
"Doesn't mean that I don't have to not like it!" Amy retorted as she glued her eyes to what was on.
Sonie rubbed his head and dashed out of the house, Amy not even realizing he had gone.

Michael had stopped running by now, and was talking with his dad, Sonic about issues of various detail.
"So, you think that Robotnick is done for now that we beat him at his base?" Michael asked, still slightly nicked up after fighting his double.
"I don't know, that egghead always seems to find a way back to pester me some more...Although I was upset that that Amy robot sedated me with that tranquilizer, I missed all the action!" Sonic whined as his son laughed.
"Well, I'm just glad mom's ok now..." Michael turned to the sky, smiling that he had managed to defeat not only Shingleman, but also his genetic double, the MX. "I wonder if we've seen the last of them..." Michael pondered as a light breeze ruffled through his orange quills.
Suddenly, a blur of seas blue appeard about a mile ahead of Sonic, obvious to Sonic it was Sonie, stopping short of Michael about 2 feet.
"Well, don't think you can get any closer then that, Sonie." Michael mocked, staring at the near collision between him and Sonie. Michael laughed after this, though, slapping Sonie a high-five as he stared back towards the horizon.
"Maybe so, but I didn't hit ya, did I?" Sonie chuckled as Sonic merely smiled at his two son's encounter.
"Who ever said being a dad made ya unable to have fun?" Sonic thought to himself as some early storm clouds made their way slowly towards Sonic and the others.
"Well, looks like its gonna rain, guess we better head back to the house!" Michael said as he grinned at both Sonie and Sonic.
"You really think we can keep up with you, son?" Sonic facefaulted as Michael merely grinned at Sonie's acceptence of his challenge.
"Ready to lose, again?" Michael shouted as him and Sonie shot through the valley, Michael losing to Sonie some.
"Ha!! Eat that, boy!!" Sonie shouted, not seeing that Michael was going slower and slower, eventually not even running. Suddenly, Michael just collapsed to the ground.
"Michael!!" Sonic gasped as he dashed towards his son and rushed him to the hospital.
