Back to the Beginning Ch. 7


Life throws its curveballs, then it throws straight pitches...but this order is completely unknown, and the results, if not taken seriously, can be chaotic...

"S onic, we can't fight this spirit with the strength we have! The only way we could attack it is if one of us took over a spirit ourselves!" Shadow spoke to Sonic, despair evident in his eyes.


"But I don't know how to fight a spirit! I've never done this before!" Sonic said with a shaky panic evident in his tone of voice.


"There is one way to fight him..." Anna suddenly spoke, some tears still streaming down her face. "I will summon him, but you must learn how to use him on your own, Sonic!" Anna said, suddenly pulling out her blue beads...


"NO! I've gotta team up with THAT spirit?!" Sonic shouted in disbelief.


"If you don't then we all die!" Anna said right back, her unwavering determination resolving Sonic's fears almost instantly.


After a period of a few seconds, the spirit of Amidamaru was clearly seeable and was directed by Anna to go into Sonic.


"Here we go again with the spirit swaping...!" Sonic braced himself as pain shot through his body as he felt the spirit of Amidamaru enter his body.


"Now, Sonic, you must face Yoh and drive the spirit out of him!" Anna shouted, getting a confused look from Sonic and the others.


"...But I thought it only took one minute to fully attach itself-"


"Not if another spirit is fighting it!" Anna cut Sonic off before he could finish his sentence, getting a grin from the blue hedgehog as he dashed off towards Yoh, Amy and the others hoping that Sonic could get it done.


"Good luck, my Sonikku..." Amy said under her breath.

"Bla de!!"


Yoh turned around to see Sonic facing him about twenty feet away.


"Well, well, well, it seems as though my good buddy Sonic has found a spirit partner! Thats very good! That means this fight will be more interesting!" Blade's voice spoke out of Yoh, Yoh's eyes turned crimson red as he levatated in the air.


"Ok, buddy, time to help me out, here! I got ya in me,now what?" Sonic asked, not even bothering to ask Anna about how to use your spirit.


"Call out an attack like "Celestial Slash!" Amidamaru said to Sonic, unable to fully get the whole sentence out before Sonic got clobbered by Yoh.


"Yeah, got ya! Call an attack...sounds simple enough!" Sonic got back up, knees wobbling some from Yoh's previous attack. "Alright, Celestial Slash!" Sonic waited for something to happen but got silence instead. "What the fuck?! Why didn't something happen?!" Sonic asked his spirit but got sent sliding into the ground by Blade.


"You should've never messed with me, you prick! Now I'm going to make sure you pay for sending my body to rot in the ground!" Yoh shouted, roaring evily as the ground started shaking violently, a fissure headed straight for Sonic.


"Oh-oh shit!" Sonic screamed as he jumped as best as his legs would allow him to to avoid the fissure.


"You got lucky there, hedgehog!" Yoh roared at the blue hedgehog, his strength overflowing.


"There's gotta be a way to atack this guy...I got it!"


Sonic got up and went to call celestial slash, but dashed towards Yoh and stole one of the swords he was carrying and then quickly calledout the attack Celestial Slash, nailing Yoh right down the center.


"Auugh!! You prick! This body was so full of power too!!" Blade screamed as he felt his strength ebbing away. "Gahh! This isnh't the last you've seen of me, you prick! I swear, I'll be back!!!" Blade shouted as his spirit left Yoh's body, the young boys body collapsing to the ground.


"SONIC!!!!!"


Sonic turned around and got tackled by an ecstatic pink hedgehog, Amy Rose, receiving a flurry of kisses from the teary-eyed Amy.


"I saw thew whole thing from back there! You were incredible!!" Amy cried as she continued kissing Sonic, Sonic returning her kisses as best he could.


"Yoh? Your spirit...is it back now?" Anna asked the, seemingly unconscious boy.


A gasp from Sonic signaling that Amidamaru had left him, but Sonic's spirit returned nearly instantly back into his body.


"Anna? What's happened to my body and spirit?" Sonic asked, very perplexed.


Sonic had no idea the intensity of the shocker he was about to hear...


"It appears you are a Shaman, Sonic."
