Sonic looked at Anna in shock over what he had just heard her say.

"You said I was a SHAMAN?"

"Its obvious; you controlled a spirit and battled with it and won. That makes you a full-fledged Shaman." Anna said with no sympathy or remorse over Sonic's dilema.

"Whoa, sister, I never wanted to be a shaman! I run! I don't fight spirit battles!" Sonic said, pleading his case as best he could to try and get a way out of his predicament. Anna's cold stare, however, did nothing to ensure Sonic's "freedom"

"Truth is, once you become a shaman you remain one, even if your spirit leaves you and never returns." Anna said plainly, odd stares given to her from the others. "Hmm...there's no simple way to put it, Sonic, so you better listen up and listen good." Anna said boldly, getting the others to listen in as well.

"Why is this happening to me?"

"You have, unfortunetly, become one with the spirits due to Blade's kidnapping of your body and then your spirit reuniting with yours. You now can openly control a spirit as long as its willing to do so...Your body has changed, and your spirit has as well; it no longer is 100% essential for you to live." Anna continued, getting Sonic's attention rather quickly.

"Whoa, you mean that I won't wanna do things I like as much as I used to?!" Sonic said elated, but not in the good way.

"Thats the case, hedgehog, your overall life has changed forever, and now there's nothing you can do to stop it...unless-"

"UNLESS WHAT?!" Sonic shouted at Anna, sweat dripping off his face as his eyes told the story "I don't want to change the way I live because of this spirit thing."

"...Unless you were to die and come back to life again-"

"Well, kill me!!" Sonic cut off Anna, waiting for a mortal blow but never got it.

"...But, hedgehog, doing it for a selfish reason is not the best way to please the spirits and they might not let you be reborn again...You can't change unless you were to, unwillingly, unknowingly, die. Of course, I am limited in my own knowledge of spirit departure and former spirit revival, I am just a person as well as Yoh is..." Anna finished, Shadow and Amy looking sadly at Sonic, wishing they could help their downtrodden buddy.

"All my life I've been totally dedicated to running and fighting evil...now I seem to be living that once again, but I don't want to do that with spirits!" Sonic complained.

"It may not have been what you wanted, but the spirits have their reasons for allowing this to happen to you...you must be patient until the time comes for change." Anna spoke to Sonic, giving him a small frown as she went to go back into the house.

"Anna, wait! What happens if I don't die for another twenty years?" Sonic asked, still unwilling to accept his fate.

"Listen, Sonic, its not my choice whether or not you live or die! You are in a predicament, deal with it and make the best of it! I don't have time to listen to your whining and quibbling about your own selfish wants and needs!" Anna said coldly, taking Sonic aback somewhat.

Amy, however, had heard enough and wasn't just going to let this bitch talk bad about her husband like that.

"Listen up, you whore!"

Anna turned around, eyes wide as they would go to find a pink hedgehog hugging Sonic tightly with a glare that could bend steel." "Who do you think you are to insult and disrespect Sonic like that?! Do you not know who he is?!" Amy shouted in anger.

"No, I don't know who he is and I could truly care less about him...he's none of my concern, but I'm only helping him because this is Yoh's battle too." Anna said unwavering in her voice.

"You're a cold-hearted bitch!" Amy screamed, Anna continued walking but not before she made one last remark to the pink-quilled girl.

"Guess it takes one to know one." Anna finished as the door closed behind her, Amy had the look of a psychopath.

Sonic ran his fingers through Amy's hair and kissed her on the cheek, trying to calm her down.

"It may be mean, but she's right, you know Amy? Her main focus is with her future husband, Yoh, and we merely got in their way." Sonic said somewhat hesitantly.

"I just don't understand why she's so cocky and so bitchy all the time...I wonder if she's like that with Yoh..." Knuckles pondered as Shadow merely shook his head at his best friends predicament.

"Poor Sonic, he has no choice in this issue and his fate hangs in the balance because of a spirit encounter..." Shadow groaned somewhat, unable to comprehend how much torture it must've been to Sonic.

"Damn that girl...if she wasn't going to get married to that boy, I'd knock her lights out for talking bad about Sonic like that!" Sonie yelled out, getting a slap on the face from Amy.

"As much as I hate to admit it, Anna does have a point...I think its time that we check on our son and Tikal and find out how they're doing." Amy said to Sonic.
