Back to the Beginning: Ch 11

Yoh had just awakened from a deep sleep, Anna was right by his side, unaware that five figures were listening in on their conversation.
"Yoh...I was worried that you wouldn't come back...after I saw Blade take over your body and everything..." Yoh barely had his eyes open but could still see the littlest bit of remorse in Anna's voice and face. It was just like her to always be so serious...Yoh said to himself as he felt a sharp pain in his chest.
"Can ya hear what they're saying, Sonie?" Sonie shook his head in disagreement with Amy, who was holding him above her head to try and figure out what Yoh and Anna were doing. "Well, listen a little closer!" Sonie put his finger to his mouth, trying to tell Amy to keep it down.
"Well, Anna, it just doesn't seem right; I mean, Blade shoudln't have been as powerful as I was, should he? I mean, I've been training with Amidamaru for a much longer time than Blade ever was in spirit...I just don't understand why he was so strong! He took over my body for crying out loud!" Anna sighed her frustration and sympathy, however much she had, for the young boy. "I just don't understand how we're going to fight something like that and even come close to beating it...I mean, no shaman battle was EVER this powerful!"
"Yoh's in complete shock over what happened with him and Blade." Amy sighed as that wasn't what she wanted to hear. "Wait, wait! I think he said something about...spirit confrontation with Blade...and Anna just shook her head..." Amy was getting very impatient as her son's weight was starting to ache her arms.
"With a spirit that powerful, who knows how powerful he may be if he regains-!" Yoh and Anna both looked out the window, chills running down their body as the sky started to turn slightly red. "Anna? What the hell was that?" Anna started dripping a cold sweat as terror was running down Yoh's spine. "Whatever it is, its not good."
Sonie had fallen on top of Amy just as Yoh and Anna looked towards the window, totally unseen by the two. "How did they not see us, mom?" Amy merely got out her mallet and whacked her son across the head, getting the attention of the two above them.
"Listen up, you two, something has come up and its time for us to handle this. Telly oru friends that their help is no longer going to be required." Anna looked at Amy with serious eyes, the look on Amy's face, however, told it all.
"No way! I don't plan on stopping just because you said so! Spirit fight or not, we're in this TOGETHER, and I don't care what happens to me! If I die trying to save the world, then so be it!" Sonie looked at Amy with huge eyes, amazed at his moms courage against, seemingly, impossible odds.
"Are you really that think-headed? Blade would crush you with a snap of his finger! He's strong enough to defeat Yoh in one strike! You would be annihalated without even knowing it!" Yoh grabbed Anna's shoulders and told her just to calm down, but the girl would have none of it.
"Listen, girl, I know its hard for you to bear, but this is my husbands fight as well, you know? Sonic is my life, he means everything to me, and I wanna help him even if it costs me my own life! Thats what love is! We love each other and will even if we die!" Sonie took his glove off and wiped a few tears off Amy's eyes, embracing her as a son should.
Anna, for the first time in her life, was moved with sympathy for someone other then herself or Yoh. "I can't believe how..." Yoh looked at Anna weirdly, not noticing the tear she shed for that split second.
Amy, however, saw it clearly, and she felt happy for Anna because she cared for not only Yoh but also for others.

Blade looked around at his surroundings, nothing but empty space around him. "Tck! Miserable universe. This whole place reeks of filth and sour apples! I shall destroy this place so that noone may ever threaten me again..." Blade clecnhed his fist and fired himself like a projectile at the moon, splitting it in half as chunks of the moon went spiraling into the earth's atmosphere.

Sonic felt the temperatue rise, suddenly, as a giant chunk of rock smashed outside of Michael's home.
"Holy shit!" Knuckles ran out to inspect the piece of rock, sweat pouring down his face as he got closer to it. "Damnt!! Things as hot as a jalapenio with extra sauce!!" Sonic covered his face as he got a little closer to the gigantic rock.
Sonic carefully looked at it and looked at the sky, his eyes buldged at the sight in the sky. "Knuckles!! The moon!! Its..."
"CUT IN HALF!!!" Sonic took a step back as Knuckles smashed the rock into tiny pieces.
"Grrah!!!!! Blades gonna pay for this!!!" Knuckles felt hisanger peaking and had to be restrained by the blue speedstr so that he wouldn't go on one of his little rampages. "Sonic, if we don't do something soon, he's gonna destroy this entire planet!!!" Sonic looked discouragingly at his crimson friend.
"I know, Knux...but we can't do anything without a good-sized fighting squad...Blades gotten so powerful. It defies belief that he could've gotten so powerful in such a short time of three years!" Knuckles looked back up into the sky, the stars barely shining as the future looked dim for the earth and all its inhabitants.

"DO IT NOW OR WE ALL DIE!!!"
Sonic fired a huge blast of energy at Blade, creating a hole right through his heart as the towering monster fell to the ground, his thud could be heard for miles away.
Sonic felt his superform leave him as Shadow, Michael, Tikal, Sonie, Knuckles and Sonic himself were laying motionless on the battlefield of Eagle-Eye.

I thought we had finally defeated him once and for all after that last fight...and we shoudl've too! He destroyed my son's city and took away the life of Tikal, Tails and Sonie...I just can't believe that he got revived as did everone else!!" Sonic kicked his foot into the ground, angry for not finishing Blade off for good.
"I don't know, Sonic...I just get this feeling that theres never gonna be an end to Blade...we've done just about everything we can to defeat him...what else is there left to do?" Sonic pondered deeply about Knuckles' comments, unaware of a blue echidna walking towards him and Knuckles.
"Sonic, I don't know how its gonna end...I just wish we could beat Blade and be sure that he was really dead!" Knuckles was about to pound his fist into the ground when he felt a hand stop his fist.
Sonic and Knuckles looked up at the blue echidna, his blue jeans, robotic eye, spiked knuckles...they knew who it was on the spot...
"Lark!! You're alive?!" Both Knuckles and Sonic said in bewilderment that their nemesis was alive and breathing.* (Read Broad Horizons)
"Well, long time no see, boys. I must admit you two have become quite stronger than the last time we fought each other...but that is not why I am here...I am here to warn you of the oncoming danger: Blade is no longer in spirit form...he is now in his newly ressurected body." Knuckles looked at Lark in complete shock that Blade had already revived his old body so quickly.
"Lark, where's Frieta?"
Lark looked at Sonic and frowned, his robotic eye still there and glowing red as usual.
"She's dead, Sonic...she passed away at the hospital after that tornado his Motople City* (Read Broad Horizons) I'm afraid that Blade, though, is gonna be of major pain if we don't do something soon..."
Knuckles rolled his eyes in obvious annoyance. "Well, no shit Sherlock! What'd, it take you all night to figure that one out?!" Knuckles never saw Larks lethal fist until it stopped right before his face.
"Don't make me mad, echidna...I'm much more potent than you are, and you know it, so don't piss me off. I wanna help you defeat Blade so that we can all live a normal life.
