Chapter 1 -Fourteen years later...

Zera leapt up behind Xelloss and was about to tackle her father, however the priest disappeared before she could so much as grab his cape and she landed on the ground face first.

She sat up, a hand over the temple where a few trickles of blood met her fingertips.

"Mom!" Zera called out in complaint. "Dad did it again!-" Zera didn't get to finish whining because her fathers gloved hand covered her mouth.

"Aw don't tell her that" The Mazoku said, still wearing his usual grin.

Fillia ,however, had heard her daughters call. She poked her head out of the small potters shop's door.

"Xelloss..." She growled. Xelloss looked at the golden dragon.

"Yes?" He asked pleasantly.

Fillia saw the trickle of blood on her daughters forehead and instantly pulled out her mace and began to chase Xelloss through the forest.

Zera chuckled and wiped the blood off her forehead with the back of her hand, smudging it.

Valgravv stepped out of the house, barley avoiding getting trampled by the raging couple. He walked over to Zera, carrying a pitched of Iced tea and two cups.

Zera gratefully took one.

"hanks" She said and poured herself some and drank it down in a single gulp/ She cringed as she heard the sound of smashed pottery and her mother yelling at Xelloss some more.

Valgravv too was looking back at the shop, the two teens were use to it by now, both having grown up in the shop run by the dragon and Mazoku (whenever he decided to hang around).

"I'm not cleaning that up." Zera muttered, pouring herself some more Iced Tea.

Valgravv pouted. "No fair, I cleaned up last time." He flicked some of the tea at his friend.

Zera grinned and flicked some of hers back at him.

"So? You're older and so should be more responsible." Zera smirked.

Valgravv smirked back, "Well they ARE you're parents, so you should clean up their mess."

Zera made a face then grinned and splashed the contents of her cup onto Valgravv's face.

Laughing, she watched Valgravv brush soaked hair out of his face and tossed the contents of his cup at. Zera giggled and teleported out of the way, reappearing behind Valgravv, holding the pitched of Iced tea over his head and poured it over his head.

"No fair" Valgravv said, laughing despite himself, he turned and grabbed Zera' wrist and began to tickle her.

Laughing helplessly, Zera couldn't do a thing to stop him. Finally he let her go.

"I'd better go take a shower now" Valgravv said, mock frowning at Zera. Zera grinned back at him. "have fun" She got up.

"Where ya going?" Valgravv asked curiously, also getting up.

"I'm goanna go see what my friends are up to, cya" And with that the Mazoku child was gone.
