Hey guys, if you're reading this story, I want to say that I have discovered a writer that needs
help with receiving some motivation and their interest for Sonic the hedgehog is now resting on
the line so I will dedicate this story to that fellow writer and continue this story with the best of
my ability. Flame the story if you wish but I will not let something like this melt away with no
care when I could possibly do something about it. On to the story.

Everybody looked for the strangers but couldn't find them anywhere, Kurama and Cristie felt as
though they would never see their older brother as he was again.

"What are we ganna do?"Maria asked.

"I don't know. I guess we just have to accept the fact that Thunder is our enemy now and may be
for all time."Burlow replied.

"Mother, I'm ashamed. You're really ganna give up that easy?"Kurama asked.

"We have no choice. What can we do?"Maria replied.

"I'll tell you what we can do, those Mobians want our planet. It is our duty to fight with all our
strength until we can't fight anymore. It's our planet, not theirs, and they have no right to take it.
My point is that we haven't lost yet! If we try, we could just win."

"Kurama's right, where's you're will to fight for what you believe in?"Gierin asked.

Maria finally understood what they meant, even though she may never see Thunder again,
thousands of lives were on the line. They decided to go up into space and find the Mobians that
Thunder was with. Burlow gathered up the Chaos Emeralds witch he had been saving for twenty
six years, since his last adventure when he was thirteen.

"What are these for?"Kurama asked.

"It will allow somebody to change into super form if any of us can."somebody said.

Kurama turned around.

"Grandfather!"Kurama and Cristie hugged the old gothic hedgehog(Well he only looks sixteen
in physical form).

"Hello, kids. Where's Thunder?"Shadow asked.

"He ran away and we need help finding where he is."Kurama explained.

"They're hiding out on a space ship orbiting earth, they're watching us as we speak."



"Do you know the exact location?"Maria asked.

"Yes, I know but I won't let you go, Maria."Shadow said.

"Dad! I'm not a baby anymore, I can take care of myself."

"No matter how old you get, you'll always be my baby girl. Besides, I made a promise to your
mother that I would use every last piece of energy in my very being to protect you and I will
keep that promise."

"You and your promises...T-T;"

"Let me go in your place."

"No! You're a hundred and twenty four years old, you'll get killed!"

"Better me than you."

"But dad..."

"Listen, I'm only saying this because I love you, you still have a life. I'm just an old geezer of a
hermit that lives on a deserted mountain, if I were normal, I would have been pushing up
ultimate life form daisies by now."

"No, dad! I won't let you go, I still need you!"Maria started to cry on Shadow's shoulder.

"Maria, get a hold of yourself. I'm an old man that couldn't be of any use to you at this point in
time, I just want you to live, like your mother wanted."

"But I don't want you to leave me again, you've done so many things for me. I can't live with
the guilt of how you've done so many things for me and I've done hardly anything in return."

"That's not true, you saved my life and that's more than enough to know that you care about me.
You make an old man feel so young again and I don't want you to die."

"Please don't go, dad."Maria fainted after saying that.
