Ch. 1: The Power of Mind-Control

As the sun rises over the horizon on Eagle-Eye City, the sounds and clashes of cars crunching against one another, and the morning mist that filled the air is gradually giving way to the rays of the sun. Meanwhile, a certain hedgehog is watching intently on a distant hilltop, witnessing the majestic beauty that followed the coming ray of light.

"Another day...another adventure...the rays of gold and crimson make me think about Sonic and his friends...Are they back on Earth? Is everything ok with Sonics' son, Michael? How is Amy? Is Sonic ok?" Shadow contemplated these plus many other questions in his head, his mind racing between the past and reality. "Sonic...when you and I fought against the Bio-Lziard in our super-forms...those are the moments that I will always cherish...when we both teleported the space colony, ARK away from the Earth, saving all those billions." Shadow had a smile formed on his face, his eyes becoming slightly watery from the past recounts of his life.

Shadow then focused his attention towards the pride of his life: Maria. Flashbacks of the times spent on ARK came rushing back to him, as well as the unpleasent experiences just before Maria was killed.

"Maria...Thinking of you brings back many memories...of when we spent time on the ARK...I wish I could still live those early days...However, it seems, fate has dealt a card that even I cannot change...This is my future...my future is now...my future is here...on Earth...I just hope that I make my future a good one that will only help, not hurt." Shadow continued to contemplate the many thoughts racing through his head, when he suddenly saw a nearby forest, the trees providing a good challenge for Shadow to try his speed. Shadow lept off the rock and started to build up some speed. After a few days of passitivity, his legs were kinda stiff.

"Lets see if these babies still got it!" Shadow started at a fast jog, then a run, then a very fast run.

Soon, Shadow was serpentining all around the forest trees, dodging trees of every size: big or small, it made little difference as Shadow was racing through the jungle at extreme velocities. Shadow was running not only in a forest, he was also running a dream...a dream he never wanted to end...a dream that only looked to get better over time. Shadow was really enjoying himself as he continued to run through the lengthy forest path, dodgeing trees here and there.

"Well, I guess that answers my question." Shadow was running full speed. Suddenly, he was blinded by a strong, red-colored light.

Shadow felt his legs get weak, his bones felt like paper, he could hardly stand.

"Wh-what-whats...h-h-h...happening...?" Shadow's legs gave way as he hit the forest floor head first, slamming into trees and other obstacles.

Shadow had been knocked out from the initial contact with his head against a fairly large tree, so he never felt any of the painful collisions that he went through while still in the forest. When he woke up, however, it was a completely different story...

"Ooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! " Shadow's scream echoed through the forest. Shadow had been knocked out for about two hours, and when he woke up, he saw that his left leg had a bone protruding out of the body, both his wrists were broken, his right kneecap had a piece of wood sticking out of it. Shadow promptly removed the shard that was in his knee, blood gushing from the open wound.

Shadow was taking care of his wounds when a fairly large figure covered Shadow is his shadow.

"Well, well, well...we meet again, Shadow!" said an all-too familiar voice.

"Dr.?!" Shadow had temporarily forgotten the extreme predicament he was in, and was in total shock to see Eggman standing in front of him with some sort of large mirror mounted on his Eggwalker.

"You got it! For, it is I, Dr. Robotnick!" Eggman laughed at Shadow's prone form on the forest floor.

"But...why?" Shadow looked at Eggman, and he could see clearly through Eggman's goggles, and he saw something different about the way Eggman's eyes were. He didn't see the normal, mad scientisit look he usually had, instead, he saw his eyes burning with rage and panic.

"There is a reason I have done this to you, Shadow." Eggman stated as Shadow listened, for it was all he could do with his legs in as bad of shape as they were.

"Go on." Shadow said weakly, his eyes starting to give way from blood loss.

"Over the years, I, Dr. Robotnick, have attempted many a brilliant plan to crush that annoying pest, Sonic the Hedgehog." Eggman said, his voice sounding like that of a history school teacher.

"So, what does this have to do with me?" Shadow asked.

"I'll get to that in a minute...For nearly 15 years I have tried and tried many times, but to no avail! That pesky Sonic, his good ol' sidekick, Tails, Sonic's no-good bitch of a girlfriend, Amy, and that rotten bastard Knuckles! They have always ruined my plans, no matter what I did, it never worked!" Eggman started to sound maniaical.

"Well, thats a very interesting tale, but, what-" Shadow was about to ask before he was cut short.

"I told you, I'd get to that in a minute! Anyways...Every one of my creations were never good enough! Metal Sonic...the EggWalker...Metal Tails...Metal Monic...Even capturing his own pal, Tails...None of it worked!!!" Wggman yelled, his voice echoing through the forest.

"Wh-" Shadow again tried to get his question answered, only to see it interrupted once again by Eggman.

"Damnt, I told you I'd answer your question! Now, last month, I had an epiphany: since all my attempts to destroy Sonic have failed, I decided to try a more indirect approach! Since Sonic's DNA is made up of complex molecules that give him uncanny speed, it runs in his family! His father...his mother...Amy Rose is also one of them!" said Eggman, his face formed a small grin after this statement.

"What do you me-" Shadow was again interupted.

"I then realized that, becuase you were a direct result of genetic experimentation, your DNA molecules also have that same molecule that gives Sonic his speed! Therefore..." Eggman's grin had widened to where it looked like he was possessed.

"What are you talking about?!" Shadow asked Eggman, only to get silence.

"Then, this is where you come in, my friend! Since I have tried every single direct approach, I am using a more indirect approach! I am going to destroy Sonic with his own medicine! His own speed is the thing that is going to do him in!!! However, I can't do that to Sonic, he would never do the required steps involved perfectly enough for me to move on with my plan, so, you are going to do this for me!" Eggman said evilly.

"Do what?" Shadow was getting very annoyed by Eggman's refusal to spit out what he wqas planning to do.

"Since you, Sonic, and Amy have the same DNA molecules, I am ordering you, Shadow to rape Amy, get her pregnant, and then, when the child is born, I will raise it up in my own special way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Eggman said, his grin turned demonic the second he finished his sentence. Shadow couldn't believe the words that Eggman had just uttered out of his mouth.

"You must be absolutlely loco!!! What makes you think I'd ever do something like that to Amy or Sonic?!" Shadow tried to get up, but his legs never even gave him a chance as he fell back down on the ground in pain.

"You're going to do it, because I will make you do it!" Eggman pulled out a device that had the Eggman logo on it with the letters "EMC" printed next to it. "This is the beautiful result of my own hard labor! It took me years to finally get it right! I call it the 'Eggotronic Mind-Control' I never thought I'd have to use it, but now it seems the time has come for my plans to take shape!" Eggman put the device neatly on his head.

"You'll never get me to do this!" Shadow said weakly, the blood loss was getting his strength extremly low.

"You won't have a choice of the matter! Now, when these electromagnetic complusory waves hit that meagle brain of yours, it will shift the neurons that direct you conrol over your body and mind and give it directly to me!!" Eggman said as he turned the device on.

"No! Never!" Shadow tried to counter the device but his brain never could stand up to the waves, as he no longer felt himself physically in-control of his body.

"Hahahahahahahaha!!!! It worked!! Now, to try it out!!!!" Eggman was gleefully shouting out his gladness. "Now, Shadow, I want you to obey my every word, command, and request! You will not refuse whatever I have to say, even if it strikes a nerve in that meagere body of yours!" Eggman barked out orders for Shadow.

"Whatever you say...master..." Shadow replied, but not conciously, but rather like that of a person in a trance, which was exactly the condition he was in.

"This truly will be the one plan that puts Sonic out of commison for good!! I can't wait to see the look on that damn hedgehogs face when he not only hears of Amy's rape, but also his reaction when he goes head-on with the very child that his girlfriend brought forth!" Eggman was laughing evilly as the sun had just peaked out on top of the two...signalling the approach of noon.
