Chapter 25

"D-d-d-d-d-did you just see what he did?!" Frieta shouted in fright.

"I did! He just destroyed that hospital!!" Lark said, as scared as Frieta was.

"Shit! That asshole is gonna pay for that!!" Sonic said angerly, running after his son, hoping to catch up to him so he could help him out.

"Sonic! Wait!!" Shadow yelled out, but merely heard his own echo as Sonic was already from from where he was. "Damnt...I hope that Sonic and Michael can handle him..." Shadow said to himself.

"Shadow? Is everything alright?" Gina asked Shadow.

Shadow turned around to see Gina and embraced her, Flash being cuddled in her arms.

"Yes, Gina, everything is going to be alright...I promise..." Shadow said, planting a kiss on Gina's lips, causing Gina to blush some.

<Meanwhile, 50 miles from Motople>

"Michael!! Where are you?!" Sonic yelled out, getting no response from his much faster son.

Sonic continued to run faster, hoping to find his son before he did anything rash, as he was known to do oftentimes.

"You asshole!!!"

Sonic stopped in his tracks and perked his ears up so he might be able to hear the sound of whoever it was that he heard.

"Fuck you, prick!"

"Its gotta be him!!" Sonic said to himself as he ran towards the source of the insults.

"We gotta do something, Lark! Even Michael won't be able to beat that monster!!" Frieta said, pleading for Lark to help out.

"No...thats the last thing I want to do is help out...this is their fight, not ours! Besides, I still have a score to settle with that bitch, Gina..." Lark said, punching air.

"I swear, Lark, I don't know how in the world you are ever gonna stay alive with an attitude like that!" Frieta said in Lark's face.

"I am who I am, and nothings going to change that!" Lark said meanly, continuing to punch air.

"Whatever you say...even though I wish you were a little bit sweeter to your friends..." Frieta said silently.

"I don't need friends!" Lark said, surprising Frieta somewhat that he had heard her. "Friends are the last thing I want to see again...ever since that 'friend' of mine shot my leg, my life has been a living hell!!" Lark shouted to Frieta, making her shut-up for the time being.

"We gotta do something, Bret!!" the taller of the two red echidna's said.

"What can we do?! That Blade is so much more powerful then the others!" Bret replied.

"Listen to me! This isn't going to be settled with one-on-one! This is only going to be settled if we all pitch in and help out, don't you understand me!?"

"I guess you're right, but what if we can't help and we get...killed?" Bret asked.

"Killed?! Hah! You think getting killed is on my mind?! I am the guardien of the Master Emerald and always have been!! I will not back down from any opposition, and I am NOT weak like many think I am!!"

"W-w-wait! Y-y-y-...you're the...GUARDIEN of the Master Emerald?!?!" Bret looked at the red echidna in shock.

"Y-you must be...!" Jordan tried to respond but couldn't.

"I am Knuckles...the one and only guardien of the Master Emerald..."

"How-how did you get back alive?!" Bret asked, shocked at seeing Knuckles there.

"The Master Emerald revived me days after I was killed by Monic...I have been in training ever since, building up strength in my body and mind...I am much stronger then I was before!" Knuckles said with a grin.

<120 miles from Motople>

"Where is that fucking dead man?!" Michael mentally screamed to himself, looking everywhere for Blade but finding noone.

While Michael was searching on the ground, Blade, unknown to Michael, had been hovering about 500 feet off the ground, watching the angry hedgehog trying to find him.

"Thats it, my friend, keep on searching...you're only wearing yourself out, and when I do fight you, it isn't going to be like last time!!" Blade said to himself, laughing evily as the sun began to set over the horizon.
