Chapter 32

Knuckles got in a fighting stance, ready to strike Blade when given the oppurtunity. He didn't have to wait long, however, as Blade dashed towards him with his claws extended for the kill, but Knuckles dodged the attack and struck Blade in the face with a slobberknocker of a punch.

"Ah!! You bastard!!!!" Blade roared as he went on the offensive, striking Knuckles with repeated blows to the chest, but his claws were not able to penetrate the echidna's skin. Blade stared in horror as his claws were of no use against Knuckles.

"The Master Emerald is protecting me!!" Knuckles realised as he grinned with a purpose on his mind. "Time for you to taste why I'm called Knuckles!!!" the echidna shouted as he struck Blade on the shoulderblade, tearing through tissue and bone as he put a serious dent in Blade's armor.

Blade, however, went to recover the damage, but soon found out just how serious the blow had been as he could not recover the damage done by Knuckles.

"How the hell?!?!" Blade shouted to himself, looking back up at a grinning Knuckles, the grin which made his blood boil. "That fool! He destroyed the tissue and bone!! I can't get the information to my body to regenerate!!" Blade suddenly realised as he went on the defensive for the first time.

"Sonic! Hurry! He's wounded, he can't recover his shoulder!!!" Knuckles shouted, getting Sonic up finally with the help of Sonie, who had also gotten back up.

"I feel like we're getting through this ass of a being!!" Sonic said, thrilled to see some gain against Blade.

However, no sooner had Sonic mentioned this, Blade went after another target that wasn't attacking: Susan.

"NO!!! SUSAN!!!!!!!!!! RUN!!!!!!!" Sonie shouted as he watched Blade comign ever closer to Susan's position. Susan seemed to be in a state of shock, her mind wasn't moving fast enough and she was going to be slaughtered by Blade if she didn't move.

Sonie made a mad dash towards Susan and pushed her out of the way, but he paid the ultamite price for doing so as Blade inadvertantly thrusted his claws through Sonie instead of Susan.

"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! SONIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sonic screamed in horror as Blade threw Sonie's lifeless form to the ground. "My son......................NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Sonic screamed as he felt an adrenaline rush in him, transforming into his superform.

Blade never saw the angry hedgehog's charge as he soon was getting clobbered by an enraged Sonic, who was, to put it bluntly, kicking his ass. Sonic had tears in his eyes as he continued his relentless assault on Blade, attacking with the heart that only a father who lost a son could.

Michael and the others watched in awe at the super-charged Sonic go to work on Blade, amazed at the strength behind each punch and kick.

"I never knew that he could release so much rage!!" Gina commented. She had never seen Sonic when he was mad but even Michael, who was Sonic's first son, had never seen his father release so much rage on s single individual.

"You are gonna burn you piece-of-shit!!!!!!!!!!!" Sonic roared as he went to delivere another kick to Blade, but his foot got caught and he was sent flying. Sonic rebounded, however, and charged Blade once again. This time, however, Blade was prepared and extended his lethal claws directly at Sonic, who had to hit the brakes hard so as not to get punctured.

Blade went back on the offensive as he fired a yellow beam at Shadow, electricuting him severely, but soon got hit with a devastating punch from Knuckles. Blade countered and blasted Knuckles with a flame attack from his fist, burning the echidna's left cheekbone, some of the skin peeling off and the bone and tissue could be clearly seen.

"You asshole!!!" Knuckles screamed as he went absolutely insane the pain was so excruciating as he punched a hole right through Blade's hand, detaching it as blood poured like a river out of the now one-handed Blade.

"AHHHHH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Blade shouted in pain as he felt some strange feeling in his arm which had been detached of a hand. Blade watched as the empty space was suddenly replaced by some sort of mechanical device. "What the fuck?! I thought I got rid of them all!!" Blade said frustratingly.

The mechanical device was T870 Black Widow Rocket Launcher, much to Blade's delight.

"I'll have to admit, that no-good proffessor certainyl knows how to get things right...but I still would've killed him..." Blade said evily as he fired three rockets at Shadow, all of them dead and center at him.

Shadow had to run circles to dodge the missles as they follwed his every move.

"Damn!! These things are gonna be tough to get off of!!!" Shadow said to himself as he did zig-zags in an attempt to lose them, but they followed him with diligence never before seen in a machine.

"Gotta do something or else those missle's will destroy him!!" Michael said to himself as he dashed towards Shadow and grabbed his arm, telling him to run with him. The result was a spectacular sight for the fighters as Shadow and Michael were actually running in sync and neither one of them running better then the other, making Sonic grin with amazement.

"He's actually running with my son...amazing..." Sonic said with a tear in his eye as Michael and Shadow, with their speed, were able to send the missles into a cliff edge; the intensity of the explosion created shockwaves 100 miles away.

When the dust settled, Michael and Shadow were standing hand-in-hand as they both had a death stare directed at Blade, who groaned in disbelief.

"You aren't going to beat us, Blade!!! You may have strength, but we have numbers!!!!! And numbers ALWAYS beats strength!!!!!!!" Michael shouted as him and Shadow both transformed into their superforms, their combined energies lit of the red sky.
