Disclaimer: I don't own anyone from the Sonic and Mario universe the all belong to their rightful owners. But all the characters that don't belong to other people belong to me. Okay now that that's out of the way let's start the fic.

 

 

 

Chapter 1: I ain't callin' you for dinner!

 

 

 

In the outskirts of the Mushroom kingdom a black hedgehog with red streaks on his quills, arms, and legs sat in a tree, apparently resting. He went by the name of Shadow the hedgehog. He slowly opened his eyes and looked in the direction of the mushroom kingdom. “Those fools! That damned plumber will be the death of you all one day!” Shadow growled.

 

 

Shadow harbored a deep hatred for Mario because well… He just hated him. He hated almost everyone really. Just is a hateful guy. His real reason for hating Mario was every time Bowser attacked the Mushroom kingdom intent on taking over Shadow and Sonic entered the fray and defeated him, yet Mario got all the credit.

 

 

Sonic shrugged it off and decided he didn't care if Mario hogged all the glory or not. Helping people was the job of a hero and it didn't matter much to him. Shadow… He didn't save people very often but when he did it made him angry to have all the glory taken away from him by an overweight plumber.

 

 

So Shadow decided he wasn't going to save the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom again unless it was absolutely needed. So he bought himself a house just outside the Kingdom and whenever trouble came he just hoped that the faker and the plumber would save the day without his help.

 

 

“Fat Bastard!” Shadow insulted. He just sat in the tree and watched the sun set. He didn't know why but sunsets always calmed him down when he was mad. It made him feel at…. Peace. When the sun completely disappeared Shadow slipped his eyes closed and began to rest hoping that the plumber got what was coming to him.

 

BOOM!!

 

 

Shadow's eyes shot open and he scanned the area for the cause of that loud noise. “What the hell was that?” he murmured. Shadow didn't notice at first but when he took a glance at the sky he saw giant battleships with Eggman's insignia on them. He then glanced at the ground and saw an army of Bowser's troops headed for the Kingdom.

 

 

Eggman and Bowser working together? Shadow thought. “They must be here for the princess.” Shadow smiled “This is oughtta be good!” he jumped out of the tree and dashed for the castle.

 

 

Meanwhile…

 

 

 

“Mario! Bowser and Eggman have joined forces and are attacking the city you have to stop them!” Toad said worriedly. Mario could see Eggman's and Bowser's combined attack force heading toward the kingdom. “This is going to be one hell of a fight! I better go find Sonic!” Mario said then he ran off in the direction of Sonic's house.

 

 

Upon reaching his house Mario kicked the door down, startling Sonic who was scratching his nads at the time. “Mario what do you want?!” Sonic shouted, embarrassment written all over his face. “Sonic get your shoes on! Eggman and Bowser have joined forces and are attacking the kingdom as we speak!” Mario replied. Sonic's eyes widened in surprise and went to slip on his shoes. “So they finally decided to join forces huh? Well this oughtta be good!” Sonic said and raced out of the door with Mario hot on his trail.

 

 

Later…

 

 

Soon their combined army made it inside the Kingdom killing helpless bystanders that were in the way. Some of Eggman's bots drop in from the sky on parachutes others in small bi-planes shooting from above. Bowser's minions crashed through buildings smashed windows to houses and stores, tearing families apart. Killing some members and kidnapping others it was horrible. The streets were filled with corpses and the smell of blood. It was a sad sight to see really.

 

 

Sonic and Mario finally came to the battlefield. But only to come face to face with millions of Robots and koopa soldiers. “Whoa..” Sonic and Mario stood there baffled at how much damages these guys were causing. “Chaos Spear!” an unknown figure shouted blasting several of the robots to hell. Shadow landed in front of the two “Well don't just stand there Attack!!” he ordered and continued to destroy the robots. Sonic and Mario followed up by destroying oncoming soldiers. “Yeah this is fun!” Sonic exclaimed, kicking a bot in the chest to his right causing it to explode.

 

 

Shadow spindashed in a straight line through a bunch of robots making them explode. Mario charged through soldiers obviously heading somewhere. “Where are you going?” Sonic asked. “To find Bowser!” he replied and continued to smash his way through Bowser's minions.

 

 

A couple minutes later the two could see a giant battleship come into view. “That battleship must have loads of soldiers on it I'll take care of it!” Shadow volunteered and `chaos controlled' his

Way up on the battleship.

 

 

On the battleship..

 

 

Shadow appeared in a flash of green light aboard the battleship. “I need to get to the controls of this ship.” Shadow murmured and ran down a random corridor.

 

INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!

 

“Oh great like I needed more problems!” Shadow said sarcastically, but stopped as a couple of giant robot minions (Sonic Heroes) turn down the corridor. “SMASH THE INTRUDER!” One of the robots shouted in a robotic tone.

 

 

The two robots ran at Shadow with their giant lances raised. “Oh man,” Shadow complained, jumping over the robots then kicking the back of their heads in. The robots fell and exploded when they collided with the floor. Shadow continued to run until he came to a massive control room. The room had hundreds of knobs, buttons, and levers, which meant it would be hard to shut this thing down. This irritated Shadow…a lot. “What the fuck!!” he shouted, staring at all the buttons, knobs, and levers. “Only one thing to do.” He whispered and began smashing up the controls.

 

 

 

Meanwhile…

 

 

Sonic and Mario were still handling the ground troops but they were soon overwhelmed. “There's too many of `em!” Mario said. “I know but we have to keep trying.” Soon the engine of a plane caught his attention and he took a glance toward the sky to see…

 

 

“Tails! We need your help down here!” Sonic called waving his hands to the Tornado 2. “Will do!” he replied, as he brought the plane down so it was hovering just above the ground.

 

Sonic and Mario hopped on the wings of the plane and it took off into the sky. “What's happening?” Tails asked. “Eggman and Bowser joined forces.” Mario explained. Sonic ignored them and looked at the sky towards the battleship Shadow was on. What the hell's taking so long? Sonic thought, but his thoughts were soon interrupted when flames and explosions began to erupt from the inside of the ship. Sonic came to a realization the Tornado 2 was flying directly under the battleship so if it fell it was going to crush them. “Tails fly faster!” Sonic ordered. “What for?” Tails asked in confusion. “Just do it!” without further arguing Tails flew the plane out of range of the battleship it began exploding, this caught Tails attention. He looked up and saw the battleship exploding; he saw a familiar looking hedgehog jump off the edge.

 

 

“Shadow!” the young kit exclaimed, as he flew the plane upwards in order to catch Shadow. As he was flying through the air he mouthed something to Tails he mouthed `go to the castle! Save the princess' “What?” Tails asked in confusion, among the other things he was a pro at doing he had problems reading lips. Shadow mouthed it again but Tails still couldn't understand. “What?” he asked. Shadow gave up and began yelling out of anger “GO TO THE FUCKING CASTLE AND RESCUE THE DAMN PRINCESS!!!” he screamed, Tails hearing him this time.

 

 

“Why?” he asked. “BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THE TROOPS AND ROBOTS ARE HEADED!!!” he roared. Tails gave him a nod and flew off into the direction of the castle.

 

 

Shadow landed feet first on the ground and ran in the direction of Princess Peach's castle.

 

 

Inside the castle…

 

 

Eggman and Bowser burst through the doors of the castle, destroying any and every toad that got in their way. Toad (the toad named Toad) Ran up to Bowser and Eggman. “What do you want?” he asked. “None of your business!” Eggman retorted. “I'll have you know it is my business thank you very much!” he said. Bowser just smirked and said “Not anymore!” he growled, raising his foot as high in the air as it would go and crushed Toad, splattering blood everywhere. The two evil villains walked up the stairs soon a conversation started. “So Bowser why do you want this Peach girl so much?” eggman asked, curiosity getting the best of him. “Well,” Bowser started “I was just going to make her my sex slave but instead I thought `Hey why don't I just eat her!'” he said. Eggman stayed silent for a while thinking about a giant turtle king having sex with a human princess.

 

 

“I don't even want to know.” He whispered, as the two continued on their way to Peach's room.

Soon the two finally came to Peach's room door. Which by the way was huge. “Who in the hell needs this kind of door?” Eggman asked in confusion. Bowser just shrugged his shoulders “Beats me.” He said. “Doesn't matter we'll just break it down.”

 

 

“Leave it to me!” Bowser volunteered. The giant reptile took a deep breath then blew flames all over the door. Bowser just stood there, realizing his error he scratched the back of his head looking confused. Eggman gave him a cold glare. “How in the hell is that supposed to help? We're here to kidnap the princess not set this place on fire! Stop fucking up!” The doctor scolded. Bowser without a word just hung his head in the deepest shame. (don't ask why)

 

 

Without another word Eggman, using his stomach rammed the door, smashing it into a million pieces. “That's how you get the job done!” he gloated. The two walked inside the room only to find a terrified Peach sitting on her bed trying to use the blankets of it for a shield. “Stay back!” she warned. “Shut-Up,” Eggman shouted. “We're not here to take orders from you we're here to take you away…. And possibly eat you.” Peach's eyes widened in surprise and fear at the mention of being eaten. Bowser didn't say a word instead he was paying close attention to his surroundings, which is the only reason he heard footsteps. “Ivo,” he began “Someone's coming up the stairs!” he finished.

 

 

The room was completely silent all that could be heard was the sound of footsteps. “We'll ambush him Ivo.” Bowser whispered. Eggman nodded, as the two went into separate corners of the room, waiting for the fool stupid enough to fall into this trap. The figure walked into the room only to be greeted by searing flames from Bowser and a belly flop from Eggman. All the flames caused a smokescreen, which had Eggman and Peach coughing horribly.

 

 

When the smoke cleared Eggman and Bowser just stood there dumbfounded. “Where'd he go?” Bowser wondered, taking a glance at the ceiling he found the being. “Ivo he's on the ceiling!” Bowser yelled Eggman looked up to see the person. “Shadow?” he asked. “Guess again fat-shit!” the mysterious figure growled, dropping from the ceiling. When he landed on his feet everyone in the room noticed him by his blue overalls and green shirt. “Luigi!” Bowser shouted. Without a word the plumber pulled out his trusty plumber and got into his fighting stance.

 

 

Before Luigi could attack everyone in the room heard a strange noise. It sounded like an airplane. “What now?” Eggman cried. No sooner as the last few words escaped from his mouth the Tornado 2 burst through the window. “NO,” Eggman shouted “Not these pests again.” He complained, as Sonic, Tails, and Mario hopped out of the Tornado 2. Bowser stared at them with a look of confusion on his face then began to count on his fingers. “1, 2, 3.” He looked at Sonic, Tails, and Mario. He soon came to a realization. “Where's Shadow?” he wondered aloud.

 

 

As if on cue Shadow skated his way up the stairs. When he reached Peach's room everyone looked at him. “What's everyone starin' at?” he asked in confusion. While they were distracted Eggman quickly devised a plan in his evil brain. “Bowser flamethrower NOW!” without a word Bowser released his flames from his mouth causing another smokescreen.

 

 

While everyone was coughing Eggman grabbed Peach and flipped her over his shoulder. “Bowser retreat!” The two jumped out of the window with Peach and ran off.

 

 

When the smokescreen cleared the heroes stood there dumbfounded. “Where'd they go?” Sonic asked. “Out of the window! What are you stupid?” Shadow retorted, looking at Mario he said, “It's your fault she was kidnapped!” “My fault? How is it my fault?” Mario asked.

 

“If you had given more attention to her and stayed here with her, protecting her this would never have happened!”

 

“I do….. Sometimes.”

 

“Sure you do!”

 

“Are you callin' me a liar?”

 

“I ain't callin' you for dinner!”

 

Punches began to fly soon after Shadow had finished his sentence. Sonic, Tails, and Luigi just stood there watching the two fight.
