A/N: All right, here's another chapter to Loved Ones. This is my first attempt at romance, so I apologize ahead of time if it sucks. Well, that's all for this note. On with the fic!

"Ahhh...Dinner was great!" Knuckles said, resting his hand on his now plump stomach. "Much better than berries or squirrels."

Rouge shook her head, but then smiled. "Yeah, dinner was good, Amy."

Amy returned the smile with a thanks. "Thanks guys," she said, standing up. She pushed her chair back under the table and began collecting the dirty dishes. "You guys can go and watch T.V. while I finish the dishes."

Cream offered to help her, so the others went into the other room and turned on the television. Sonic grabbed the remote and started flipping through the channels at high speeds.

"How can you even see what's on those channels?" Knuckles asked.

"I can't," Sonic replied, finally stopping his rapid clicking of the button. "I just know exactly what channel to put it on."

"And what channel is that?" Knuckles questioned.

"And next on Cartoon Network is The Powerpuff Girls," the announcer on the television said.

"You're not serious," Rouge said. "Are you really gonna watch this?"

Sonic sighed and picked up the remote. "Nope." He restarted his rapid clicking process, the cannels becoming black and blurred. "So what do you guys wanna watch?"

"Anything other than the Powerpuff Girls," Knuckles said, wrinkling his nose. "Their heads are too big...And they show a lack of hands. And the eyes...To creepy for me." The red furry shuddered at this thought.

"We need something with a bunch of action," Tails said.

"And a little bit of romance in it too," Rouge added.

"And you can't forget the ladies," Knuckles put in.

"So I guess we only have a few choices," Sonic said, looking through a TV Guide. "So is it DBZ or Sailor Moon?"

Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow agreed on DBZ, while Sonic and Rouge decided on Sailor Moon.

"That's three for DBZ," Tails said happily. "And only two for Sailor Moon. Guess we watch the monkies."

"Three for Sailor Moon," Amy said, walking into the room.

"Where's Cream?" Tails asked.

"She's a little tired, so she went to bed early." Amy sat down on the couch.

"So now what do we do? We can't agree on anything." Rouge rested her head in her hand.

"Looks like there's only one way to settle this: a face off!" Sonic grinned.

"So how's it gonna work out?"

"There's gonna be three matches: me and Shadow, Knux and Rouge, and then Ames and Tails. It's gonna be best two out of three."

"Is there really any point in doing this?" Rouge asked.

"How else are we gonna decide what we're gonna watch?" Sonic asked.

"We could just-"

"C'mon then, the ultimate life form demands his anime!" Shadow yelled. "What do we do, Sonic?"

"The one thing I can't lose at." Sonic chuckled and then took out his Chaos Emerald. He warped everyone in the room to a nearby arcade.

"Why are we here?" Tails asked.

"For the one thing I am unbeatable at." Sonic pointed to a machine with blaring music and flashing lights.

"Oh no..." Tails muttered. "Not that."

A/N: Yeah, I made this chapter shorter than normal because my chapters are too long and it takes too much time for me to update it. Anyways, in the next chapter, the two teams will go head to head to decide what show they will watch. What game in that arcade is Sonic unbeatable at? What will the other four contestants be doing? Does the ultimate life form truely demand his anime? Find out next time.
