Author's Notes: the timeline for story is 6 years after `First Wave'.

6 years later

On the planet Dephius in the depths of the Special Zone, on the continent named Pangaea, in Nimbius city.

Bio-Gen Enterprises owns all of the advanced laboratories in the western part of the city; the type of projects that was done here, are top security, only personal with level 10 or above access could enter the building.

But today the buildings security was offline and a group of thieves had entered.

The group that had forced them in called them selves `The Savers', The Savers were criminals, who stole technology, to put on the black market, and they through they were the best at stealing.

The leader of the group was a male red cyber rabbit called 'Slice' his right arm and lift leg were robotic, the others in the group were two identical twin females yellow fox's named 'Dawn' and 'Ivy' the last member was a male robotic ground squirrel by the name of 'Rid', all four where running down the corridors in the building.

The team then stopped when they reached a door to the large laboratory, "Ivy, come on, deactivate the door" yelled Slice.

Ivy nodded and she ran over to the controls and she started to hack into it when the doors finally open with a hiss.

Slice stood watching Ivy as she finished, he suddenly heard a noise, turning and looked up, so did Rid and Dawn.

High up on one of the metal ladders was a shadow of a figure in a hooded cloak, without waiting the figure jumped and landed in front of them.

"Well, well looks like we got some big time thieves" the figure said sarcastically, the figure then jumped up and kicked Rid in the face.

Rid grabbed his own gun from his back and started shooting at the cloaked figure, the figure dodged out the way of the laser fire, he then moved back into the shadows and Rid ran after him.

"Dawn, go help Rid, and deal with that guy" Slice yelled, Dawn nodded and ran at the stranger, in the shadows.

The stranger kicked Rid in the right leg, but Dawn hit the stranger from behind him, knocking the stranger to the ground, Rid held the gun to the stranger's head and was about to fire, but when he did the gun just clicked.

"Dam it" Rid shouted, he through the gun aside and continued to kicking the stranger, this time in the stomach.

"Enough" Slice yelled, "Come on time's up"

The stranger stood up and replied, "Now is this anyway to be a good little thief ", then the strangers grabbed Dawn from behind and throw her against a wall, she was out cold, "now for you, Slice" called the stranger.

"Not so fast" Rid hit the stranger in the face, with his fist, and then the stranger hit Rid.

After about 5 punches Rid was the same as Dawn laying on the floor out cold, the cloaked figure stepped over Rid's still form.

"Ivy" Slice called "let's get out of here"

The yellow fox looked at her sister then at Rid and back at the approaching figure, "I'll get you" she shouted, and she started running, but she too ended up out cold on the floor.

Slice stood ready to fight, he looked at all his team and they had been beaten up within minutes by just one guy.

"Slice, give up" the stranger asked, who was walking up to the cyber.

"Never, I am leader to The Savers" Slice said, he pulled out a knife and when to hit the stranger, but found it didn't do much, the stranger punched him 8 times in different places and he was out like the others.

Sighing heavily the figure said to himself, "Too easy", he then walked over to the hovercraft that the thieves had stolen early that week, the figure looked inside, "hmm, what are these thieves up to stealing gene-splicing technology, it's not like lowlife thieves" the clocked stranger removed his hood to reveal a male white hedgehog with red and black lines down his spikes, he also had red eyes.

The white hedgehog took out a com-link and started to speak into it "this is Max here, in section 49" he pressed the button on the side.

"We hear you Max, report," the female voice replied.

"I've just had a run in with some thieves called The Savers" Max reported, he had his back leaning up against hovercraft as he spoke.

"Max, did you just say The Savers" the tone of female voice was overjoyed.

Max looked over at the thieves, "Yes I did, and I believe that there is a price for getting them alive" Max said with a grin on his face, one that the owner of the voice could not see.

"Yes Max, there is a bounty out on them, well have someone with you in a short time, Control out" Max put the com-link back in his pocket, he turned to the unconscious thieves, "prison sounds good this time of the year" he then smiled.

25 minutes later the police had arrived at the scene of the crime with them was a human who was the President of Bio-Gen Enterprises.

The President of the Corporation's name was Derek, he was shouting at the top of is voice at a red and white racoon called Harry, "How many times does my laboratories have to be broken into, you're the Chief of Police, you're a meant to stop this kind of thing from happening".

Max was stood next to the Harry, in the corner of Max's eye he could see that Harry was about to tell the President a thing or two, but Harry just stayed calm.

Harry looked at the human and said "don't worry Mr. President, thanks to my friend here, who catch them you'll have no more problems"

The President looked at Max, then he narrowed eyes and turned and walked off.

"Gee, I hate humans" Max mumble, lifting his com-link out of his pocket and turning it on "Sonnet, do you hear me" he said.

"Yes Max, I hear you"

"I'm returning to base"

"Oh good, how was your week hunting those criminals down"

"Oh Wonderful, Sonnet, that's very funny"

"It'll be good to have you back, Max"

An hour later, Max returned back to the Nightclub, the Nightclub is used as a base and home.

Max was sat on one of the chairs at the bar side he was listing to the band on stage, the song was one of Max's favourites it was called 'In the End' by a band that was touring the Special Zone the band's name was Linkin Park.

"I don't get it, Fearcat" Max said to the person on the other side of the bar.

The cat looked up at him and replied, "You don't get what, Max,"

"Those thieves where stealing gene-splicing technology" Max looked at his friend then looked at the dance floor to see Sugar walking over to them.

"Hi guys," she said warmly, "Ely's asking for you, Max"

Ely or Elykai, who is a member of a rare race of beings called Etecain's, Elykai was saved by Max, when the Sonic type Metallix had killed all her family, but her egg survived, after she hatched Max had looked after her, she is now 5 years old, apart from her Sugar is the youngest member to the crew.

"Hi Sybil" both Max and Fearcat say.

"Guys, you know I hate that name," she said.

"I'll go and see what Ely wants" Max stood up to go, but he stopped, he turned his head to the main doors to the club to see four shadowed figures walk through the doorway, all four had shotguns and knifes with them, there was three male and one female they all walked over to a table and sat down.

"Oh great, it's Evo's gang again" Fearcat said, he turned to Max and whispered, "Oh sorry Max, I forgot"

Max held up his hand and waved it at his friend "it's ok, buddy, the nanites in me help heal me, I'm not like them" he turned to face the Evo's gang that had walked in the club {hmm, I'm senescing something from them}, Max narrowed his eyes then slowly walked over to them.

"Max, are you crazy" Fearcat whispered, but Max was to far away to hear him.

Walking closer Max could senses another psychic with the group, but this psychic was not an natural born psychic, Max's own psychic abilities were far more powerful and where natural, so the fake could not read his mind, for a bit of fun Max made himself feel like a normal to the fake.

"Excuse me" Max said to the leader of the Evo's, who was a female half-breed, half wolf and the other half Crocodile; she looked up at Max.

"Yes" she replied, the others that were with the her stood up to face Max, Max looked at them one by one, there was a rat mixed with a human, another one was mixed with a bear and a bull and the last was a tiger mixed with a lion.

The tiger/lion's eyes glowed greenish yellow "Excuse me, yourself" he just pushed Max with both clawed hands.

{Your luckily, I am not going to hurt you} Max said to himself "I hear your looking for some gene-splicing technology".

The Evo's gang looked at each other then the leader of the gang stood and said "well, we sure are sweetie".

Max smiled and thought to himself {your really not my type} he than held out a disc "this is a really good place to find some stuff like that".

"Max!!!!" Scarlet said as she ran in the club, Max turned his head to see her.

But he got hit in the chest hard by the bear/bull; Max hit his back on a table near him.

"Keep still if I were you, Norm" replied the tiger/lion, he held up his hand and shot a wave of black light at Max.

"So you're the fake psychic" Max replied in a cocky tone, he had a smile on his face, {you noting to me, I'm a lot stronger} Max didn't need to use his hands to use his powers, he just thought it and it happened.

The tiger/lion had to use both hands to keep him self-standing up.

"I would stop if I were you" Max said to the spliced creator.

"Oh and why do you say that"? Asked very confused cat.

"Because, I'm a pure psychic" Max watched the shocked face, "I know you're a fake"

The bear/bull pulled one of the shotguns to Scarlet's head and called over to Max "Hay, do you wish to have you girlfriend here to have her brains all over your bar"

"Nova, Taurus, Vic get over here," the female yelled.

The rat cross human, who was near Fearcat, smirked at the black and white cat, and he then ran over to his boss.

Then the wolf/Crocodile walking over to Max, she stood in front of him and kissed him on the left cheek, "see you around, kid, oh and when you see some guy called Vector, tell him, Zara's going to be back in town" she backed away and left the confused hedgehog.

After the Evo's gang left the bar, Max looked down on the floor there was a peace of red paper, Max picked it up and opened it, it was written by hand in gold ink:

Dear Max

I know your looking for a older brother, I have friends in high places Max.

Go to a planet called Meridian, there is someone waiting for you.

Zara Stella

Max smiled at the name he then looked up at Fearcat and the others walking up to him; Max then spoke "Fearcat, Sugar, sis come on, wear going on a little trip"
