Else where in the Special Zone on Meridian, In New Tek city at the Chaotix crew tower.

A red Armadillo by the name of 'Mighty' was working out in the base's training room.

Charmy Bee had gone to visit his mother the Queen bee, at the Hive, but he had told the others that he was going to visit Sonic on Mobius; the young bee had still not told his friends that he was a prince.

At one of the windows sat alone purple Chameleon, he was very depressed, he was looking out of a window deep in thought about someone that he hadn't seen or heard from in a long time, the last time he had seen this person was years ago.

A green Crocodile was walking by the room, when he notices that the room was pitch black, he opened the door and he looked in, all the lights in the room had been smashed he also notice that the mirror in the room had been smashed too.

{What's happen here} the Crocodile thought, he saw the still form of the Chameleon sat near the window and watched him for a short time; he stood near the door, then the Crocodile moved into the room and walked toward the Chameleon.

"Espio, are you ok" the Crocodile asked, worried about his friend, the Chameleon had not eaten in days.

The Chameleon looked over at him, his face was pal, he looked tired and a bit ill, "Vector, I didn't hear you come in" Espio replied weakly, he was about faint.

"Espio, come on buddy what's worry" Vector asked concerned.

"It's ok, Vector, I'm fine"

"You don't look it"

"I'm fine, really I am" Espio stood up, but he would have fallen to the floor it not for Vector, "Ok, I'm not fine".

"Vector, don't tell the others about this" Espio asked him "promise me"

At first Vector looked at him confused, but this was the side of Espio that not many people saw, "Ok buddy, I promise".

Vector had known Espio for a long time, longer than the others, everyone knew that Vector was the Leader of Chaotix Crew, but he was not the oldest he was only 20, Espio on the other hand was 25 years old, but he didn't act like it all the time, "You just rest for a while, ok" Vector stood up and walked to the door, then turned to look back at the Chameleon.

"Ok" Espio nodded, Vector left the room.

Espio layback on his bed closed his eyes and he soon fall asleep, as he did he saw a white hedgehog in his dream.

At the very same time flying towards Meridian was the Neo Crew's ship, the craft was white with a red lines down the side, also had on the side in black letters the name 'Firefly', the ship looked a lot like the Blackbird fighter jet and it looked a bit like the Egg Carrier.

Max was piloting Firefly at the main controls, he turned his head to the right to see Fearcat, and Sugar then he turned to his left to see Rene.

"Max, why are we heading to Meridian" Rene asked, she looked at the hedgehog.

"Yah, I heard the whole planets crazy" Sugar commended.

Fearcat started to laugh.

"Because" Max was about to say something, but was stopped, he held his head in one hand, and he let go of the controls and grabbed his

Chest, his heart was burning as if a dagger was riveted in it! The pain came abruptly. He wasn't prepared for it, concentrating he tried to block out the pain, out of his mind, but suddenly he was dragged into the depths of his own mind and he saw a purple Chameleon.

"Max!!!!!!!!!! What's worry?" Fearcat shouted at his friend.

Sugar then yelled "someone take the controls before we crash"

Max stood still looking at the Chameleon in front of him for a long time Max finally asked "who are you".

Espio stood looking back at the hedgehog, "I could ask you the same thing".

Max looked around and realized that he and the other guy were both trapped in this psychic link, looking back at the Chameleon, "I'm Max, and you are"

Espio looked at him and replied "Espio"

Shock hit Max in the face "did you just say, E.s.p.i.o, Espio"

"Er, yah" Espio said, looking away.

Max looked at the purple Chameleon closer, he was overwhelmed by emotions, but he said out loud a name of someone from his past "Esmond".

Espio shot a look at him "how did you how my real name?" he stopped.

"Esmond, it is you, I don't believe it" Max ran over to Espio and hugged him.

Espio was real confused now "huh" is all he said.

Max let go and looked into the Chameleon's eyes and realized that he didn't know who he was, "Oh, I don't looked like I used too, it's a good thing we're in a Psychic linked"

"Psychic linked" Espio was now more confused.

"Espio, your like me a Psychic" Max pursed "and you're my Brother"

"Psychic, Brother, what are you talking about, I have no family, apart from mom that is" Espio took a step back; he collapsed to the ground on his knees.

"What about your little sister and me" Max said, Max crouched down beside Espio.

Espio held his hands around his ears, he also was shacking his head from side to side repeating, "Shut up, shut up, I have no sister or family"

"Esmond" Max shouted, he then grabbed Espio's shoulders, "list to me I am Max Evelyn, I am your adopted brother" Espio looked up at Max.

"How can I trust you" Espio asked.

Max closed his eyes for a minute then opened them again and whispered in Espio's ear, "brothers stay to together forever" he then stood back and looked at the totally shocked Espio, with his psychic abilities he made his form change to how he used to look like before the accident.

"Brother" Espio said, he finally hugged Max then backed off "what happen to you"

Max turned back to his new form and replied "Hmm, it's a long story"

"what have you been doing all this time" Espio asked he then added "Where are you and sis"

"Well, I'm the leader of a team called the Neo Crew and I'm heading to a planet called" Max's face, suddenly turned pale, "oh no, I forgot I'm fly the ship" the image of Max started to fade.

"Brother don't leave me," Espio cried.

"I'll see you soon" Max said, before he totally vanished, leaving Espio alone.

Espio just screamed "BROTHER!!"

somewhere located on Meridian in a quite little town called Faith hill and in a street called Illumina Green.

The 24th house lives a female purple chameleon, she's in her late 50's, she is alone now after the death of her husband 9 years ago she found life hard without him at first.

She was sat in her chair watching the T.V. on the T.V. was the news it was early in the morning about 8:17. She stood up and turned off the T.V., and walked out into her garden she looked around, she saw a white rose bush and walked over to it.

"Oh Xavier" she whispered, she closed her eyes and let some tears fall.

She stayed outside for awhile before going back inside as she reached for the door, she heard a noise that sounded like jets engine's, looking up to see a white spacecraft flying over head, "Oh my" she gasped, the ship suddenly crashed landed in some fields not far from her home.

On broad the Firefly seconds before it crashes, Fearcat was at the controls piloting the ship.

"So this is Meridian," asks Sugar, she looks over at Fearcat "it's beautiful"

Fearcat looks at her.

"FEARCAT WATCHOUT!!!" Rene shouts in panic.

Fearcat looks back to see another cargo spacecraft heading right for them, the Firefly hits the back of the other craft and Firefly started to go into a death dive to the ground.

"Hello" the 50-year-old chameleon voice echoed into the ship, she got on reply at first, "Hello, is anyone in there"

"Yah" shouted a female voice.

She ran to where the voice was coming from, she stopped when she saw a female purple fox standing in front of her.

"Thank you, for coming to help us" Rene said to the chameleon, "can you help my friends"

"Of course, I can help, dear" the female chameleon walked over to Fearcat first then Sugar and last Max, as she touched Max's hand she felt some wired contention to him, she whispered his name "Max" she turned to Rene and looked deeply into her golden yellow eyes and what she saw was her lost daughter.

"Rene," asked the shocked chameleon "is that really you"

Rene looked at the female chameleon and saw the same thing, "Mom, your ok" the two hugged tightly, "Oh mom, I missed you so much," Rene stepped away from her, but still holding her, she turned her head to looked down at Max, then turning back to her mother "mom, Max needs our help and fast"

Fearcat looked at Rene then at the purple chameleon next to her, "Rene, can you intrudes us to your friend"

"Oh sorry, Fearcat, this is mine and Max's mother"

"Oh, it's nice to meet you" Fearcat replied, looked at her.

"My name is Laura, and you mush be Fearcat," replied Laura, smiling.

Sugar who was sat on the ground next to Max, she had her hand on his head "guys, Max is not doing well" she intently looked back down at Max and whispered "oh Max, please hold on, be ok"

"I think, I can help" Laura said, she knelt down next to Sugar and put both hands on Max's head and she softly closed he eyes.

Laura entered Max's mind telepathically, she was walking down a white corridor, she then walked into a large room on the three far walls of the room were three Jew's an Sphere, an Sapphire and a ruby, she looked around the room carefully, she notice in the middle of the room a pillar about knee high and on it was the ghost of a sword, she slowly walked over to it.

"It's beautiful," she said out loudly.

"Yes, it is" replied a child like voice from behind her.

Laura turned slowly to face the owner of the voice, she gasped when she did, and standing only 7 meters away was a light brown hedgehog who looked the age of 8.

"Hello, you're the first person who's been here in a long time" the child spoke.

"Who are you" Laura asked, she really knew the answer, but she had to hear it.

"Oh I'm Max, but my friend Scar calls me Seraph, he works for the Drakon Emperor"

"Oh my dear son, I'm so sorry" Laura said sorrowfully.

Laura walked closer to the younger version of Max and she bent down in front of him, "Max, it's me Laura, your mother"

The young Max looked at her confused "Mother"

"Yes its me, son" Laura said, she was so overjoyed she started to cry.

"Mom, mom" the young hedgehog called "I thought you'd never come"

Laura hugged him closer and whispered in his ear, "son, you have to come with me now"

The young Max stopped and started to back away, "SCAR, SCAR, HELP," he cried.

"He's too young to understand, Mom," replied another voice from behind her.

Laura stood up and turned to face the owner of another voice, which sounded older.

She saw leaning against the doorway of the room, the 21 years old version of Max with white fur, red and black line down his spikes he also wore a crimson leather trench coat, Max had a smile on his face, Max pushed himself off the wooden doorpost and he slowly started to walk over to Laura, the two hugged.

"Been a long time, mom" the older Max said.

"Oh son, I missed you and Rene, I didn't mean for any of this to happen, please forgive me" Laura collapsed to the ground in tears.

Max dropped to her side "Mom, I'm ok, well not at this time, but I have grown up to what you see now, I'll tell you much more after you use the Tri- force ability "

"But son, you need three powerful psychics to pull that off" Laura said sadly, "Esmond, has not used his abilities in years"

"Mom, I know this hard, but please I need your help" Max looked away from her "Mom, I know you hate the Drakons and you every right to, but please trust me when I know them"

"Ok son, I'll try, and I'll get Esmond here, I'll returned in an hour, it's so nice to see you again" Laura said with a sad tone, her form slowly started to become transparent, shortly after she left, Max was alone in his own mind.

"I missed you too, mom" Max said to himself "more then you know"
