A LITTLE FUN AND A LITTLE FIGHT

A/N- Chapter four has arrived! I still don't own Sonic and company. I own everyone that isn't in any of the games and I share owner ship with Silhouette the Hedgehog. Sorry to all those Eggman fans out there…if there are any. It was just something I had to do. And Vega…you'd be surprised. The only reason I don't kill characters off is cause people flame for stuff like that. Anyway…on with chapter four!

Sonic wakes up at around twelve the next day. Tails is already downstairs. He is watching the news and he seems to be in shock.

"What's up Tails?" asks Sonic.

"Sonic…Eggman's dead," says Tails.

"What?!" says Sonic. "What happened to him?"

"Well," starts Tails. "The investigators have found that the cause of his death is a high level of electricity. All they found on the scene was a red rose. They have no other clues."

"You don't think that Celestial killed him…do you?" asks Sonic.

"It seems logical," says Tails. "I mean, she can do stuff like that with electricity and she wouldn't have really left any clues."

"What's up with the rose?" asks Sonic. "And why would she kill Eggman?"

"I have no idea," says Tails. "It's probably just her calling card. I don't know about Eggman either. Maybe she ran into him and decided to have a little bit of fun"

"I can't believe anyone could so heartless," says Sonic. "I'll kinda miss fighting Eggman." He walks into his kitchen and has some brunch.

/Rouge's house/

It is currently one in the afternoon and Rouge is on the phone.

"Uh huh," says Rouge.

"….." on the phone.

"I don't know," says Rouge.

"…" on the phone.

"You'll pay me how much?"

"…"

"I'm in," says Rouge. She hangs up the phone. "I guess I should get started." Rouge puts on her Treasure Scope, Pick Nails, and Iron Boots. She walks out the door and begins her journey to her destination. "I just have to be able to get to Sonic's by four."

/Amy's House/

Shadow had been invited to stay at her house last night and he agreed. It is around two in the afternoon.

"Do you think Celestial did that?" asks Amy.

"I wouldn't put it past her," says Shadow. "I just wish I knew more about her."

"I wonder why there was a rose," says Amy thoughtfully.

Shadow thinks for a moment. "It's her favorite flower."

"How do you know that?" asks Amy.

"I just have this strange feeling that it is," answers Shadow. "I just want to know what would drive her to do this. What does she have against me?"

Celestial lies on the same tree branch as last night. She hasn't moved from the spot all day. She rolls off of the tree branch and lands on all fours on the ground. `I never was good at landings,' thinks Celestial. She stands up and walks over to a rose bush. She loves roses. "They are so beautiful, and yet they have thorns." She picks one from the bush. One of the thorns pricks her finger and a bit of blood can be seen through her glove. She stares at the rose for a while. "Shadow ruined my life…and now I will return the favor." She squeezes the rose tightly and blood trickles from her hand to the ground. "I will make sure of that."

Rouge walks into Eggman's secret lab. She instantly walks to his main computer. The place is creepy in Rouge's opinion. Pieces of robots are everywhere and many failed robots surround her. She turns on the main computer and after a few tense moments of hacking she gains access. "Perfect. Now for those files on Celestial." She slowly looks through all of Eggman's files until she reaches the one she is looking for. "Project: Celestial." She skims through it finding nothing of any interest to her. She finds a confidential section, but she tries and fails to hack the code. She looks at her watch to find that it is 3:30. "Shoot!" She quickly copies the files on a floppy disk and runs out of the base. If she weren't in such a hurry she would have realized that she is being followed.

Sonic sits in a chair in his living room. His living room is the biggest room in the house. It has a sofa, two love seats and a few bean bag chairs. It also has a big screen TV equipped with a VCR, DVD player, Gamecube, and PS2. There is a coffee table in front of the chairs. The room also has a fireplace. Tails comes downstairs sipping on a can of Mountain Dew. He sits on the sofa and turns on the TV. There is a warning for a thunderstorm later today.

"I hate thunderstorms," says Tails.

The doorbell rings and Sonic quickly goes upstairs to answer the door. He opens it and sees Cream standing before him.

"Hello Mr. Sonic," says Cream. "My mom made cupcakes for everyone."

"Hi Cream," says Sonic. "Thanks. You can bring them downstairs. Tails is down there."

"Your welcome," says Cream as she walks downstairs.

After waiting ten minutes everyone is at the house except Rouge.

"Rouge is always late," complains Shadow.

"Not always," defends Knuckles.

"Tell me one time when she wasn't late," says Shadow.

"Uh…what about at the New Years party?" argues Knuckles.

"Knuckles," says Shadow. "The New Years party was at Rouge's house!"

"Well.." starts Knuckles. He is interrupted as the doorbell rings. Sonic opens the door.

"Sorry I'm late," says Rouge. "I had a small errand to run."

"It's okay," says Sonic.

/Outside/

Celestial is standing on the roof of Sonic's house. Clouds are beginning to form in the sky. "I'll have to thank the bat girl for leading me here. Tonight will be perfect to strike."

/Inside/

The group of friends are currently talking about the death of Eggman.

"Well," says Sonic. "Is there anyone in this room that doesn't think it was Celestial?"

Nobody responds.

"Just who is she anyway?" questions Knuckles.

"She's the sister I can't remember," says Shadow. "All I know is that she wants revenge on my for something I don't know about. I've had dreams with her in them, but she never had wings or bird feet in them. She also had a look of innocents. Something happened to her, and I don't think she's gonna stop until we can find out what and find a way to help her. She is my sister after all."

"Your sister killed an innocent person, and one not so innocent one," says Knuckles. "How do you know we'll ever be able to trust her? She showed absolutely no remorse for either of those deaths."

"She's blinded with anger," says Shadow.

"Okay," says Sonic. "It's 5:30 and we came here to watch some movies. Why don't we stop worrying about this and pick out a movie."

After a quick vote they decide on a horror movie. The night is perfect for one because it is now dark from the clouds, and there is a thunderstorm going on outside.

Tails and Cream are huddled together on a love seat because both are afraid of movies like this and the storm only made it scarier. Shadow and Amy share the second love seat. Knuckles and Rouge are sitting on the sofa, and Sonic is sitting on a bean bag chair close to Tails.

Around 45 minutes into the movie Tails screams loudly and throws his bowl of popcorn into the air in fright. It lands on Sonic's head and Knuckles and Shadow begin laughing.

"Oh yeah," says Sonic sarcastically. "Haha, laugh at the guy with a bowl of popcorn on his head. Thanks."

They continue to watch the movie when Tails gets up.

"I'm gonna get myself some pop," says Tails. "Anyone else want something?"

"Can you get me a Coke please?" asks Cream.

"Sure," says Tails. "Anyone else?"

"A Mountain Dew please," says Shadow.

"No thanks," says Rouge.

"I still have some of mine left," says Knuckles.

"Same here," says Amy. "But thanks for the offer."

"Nope," says Sonic.

"Okay," says Tails as he walks down a long hallway to the kitchen. He hears a creak and he turns around quickly. It's really dark in the hallway and he can't see a thing. "It's okay Tails. It's okay. It was just in your head." He quickly reaches the kitchen and turns on the lights. He grabs two Mountain Dew's and a Coke and closes the fridge. He turns the light off and decides to turn the light in the hallway on. He begins to walk down the hall when the lights unexpectedly turn off. "Power's out." He continues to walk down the hallway when his mouth is covered up by a gloved hand. He feels an arm being wrapped around his waist and he feels his fur stand on end.

"It will only hurt for a little bit honey," whispers a voice into his ear. He begins to struggle when he feels a knife on his throat. He quickly shakes a can of pop and opens it. It sprays the attacker in the face. The attacker lets go of Tails, but before he could react the attacker throws the knife. It goes through Tails stomach and he screams loudly. The attack throws down a red rose.

/With Sonic and company (ex. Tails)/

The group continues to watch the video. The murderer is bringing the knife down when…the power goes out all of a sudden.

Cream screams loudly.

"It's okay Cream," says Amy. She pats Cream.

"Amy," says Knuckles. "You're patting me!"

"Oh," says Amy. "Sorry Knuckles."

"I hope Tails is okay," says Cream.

"I'm sure he's fine," says Sonic. Tails scream then rings through the air.

"TAILS!" shouts everyone. They quickly run down the hall. Shadow hears a noise and heads upstairs. He gets upstairs in time to see a figure run out of the door. He quickly follows and the intruder leads him to the park. He then tackles the intruder to the ground. Lightning flashes through the sky allowing Shadow to see the murderer's face.

"Celestial!" shouts Shadow.

Celestial pushes Shadow off and flies into the air in a sitting position. She has a can of Mountain Dew in her hand. "Who else?" She opens up the pop and takes a sip. "This is pretty good!"

"Stop drinking pop and talk to me!" shouts Shadow angrily.

"Shoot while I care," says Celestial.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I already told you," says Cel. "I'm ruining your life like you did mine!"

"Why don't you just kill me?"

"Yet again I've answered it! I want you to suffer."

"What did I ever do to you?"

"It's not what you did…it's what you didn't do."

"WHAT didn't I do?"

Celestial yawns. "You'll have to figure that one out yourself. Good luck…oh, tell the batgirl I said thanks for your whereabouts and tell the blue hedgehog I said thanks for the electricity from his power line. Bye! Oh, here's a present!" She points at him. "Celestial Shocker! Tell that fox I said thanks for the Chaos Emerald as well! CHAOS FLASH!" Celestial disappears in a flash of light just as Shadow throws an energy attack at her. He dodges the Celestial Shocker.

"I can't believe her," says Shadow. He walks back to the house to find a stretcher getting loaded into an ambulance truck. He runs over to the group. All of them, including Shadow, are drenched to the bone. "What happened?"

"T-Tails got stabbed in the stomach," cries Cream as Amy pats her shoulder.

"It's okay Cream," says Amy. "I'm sure he'll be fine!"

"Did you catch them?" asks Sonic.

"It was Celestial again," says Shadow. "She got away. She stole Tails' Chaos Emerald. She also caused the power outage at your house, and she got here by following Rouge."

"Oh my God," says Rouge. "This is all my fault! If I hadn't been in such a hurry I would have noticed her!"

"It's not your fault Rouge," says Knuckles. He puts a comforting arm around her. "If you would have tried to fight her she probably would have killed you."

"I still feel terrible," says Rouge. "I don't feel safe anymore either."

"I'll stay with you Rouge," says Knuckles.

"You'd do that for me?" asks Rouge.

"Of course," says Knuckles.

"Well, I guess we're leaving then," says Rouge.

"Wait!" says Sonic. "Why don't we all stay at my place? We have enough extra blankets and pillows and stuff. What do you say?"

"Sure," says Rouge and Knuckles in unison.

"Okay," says Shadow. "I have to make sure she doesn't hurt anymore of my friends."

"I'm in," says Amy. She walks over to Shadow and he puts his arm around her tightly.

"T-thank y-you M-Mr. S-Sonic," says Cream in a voice choked with tears.

"Then it's settled," says Sonic. The group walks back in to Sonic's house.

Celestial lands hard on the ground. She is shaking. She is staying at Eggman's base now that he is no longer a part of this world. Cel walks over to a bed and lies on it. She hates using a Chaos Emerald. But she was wet, and she can't use her electric powers when she's wet. She hates water. `I can't believe that out of all the stuff he taught me he didn't teach me how to swim!' She slowly starts to drift off and her last thought before she falls into total lose of consciousness is how much pain Shadow is probably going through. She smirks as she drifts off.

A/N- Done with another chapter! Celestial's weakness has been revealed. It's okay "you." I believe you when you say that it wasn't a sexist remark. Thanks for keeping the rules in your mind. I'll try to make sure I limit Cel. Anyway, review please! No flames, though I except constructive criticisms. Same rules as last chapter! Sorry if it's a bit shorter than the other chapters.
