UsagiGirl: Hi everybody! Hope you like my fic. It's the first one I've ever put on the internet or shared w/ anyone but my friends. I really hope you like it. If I get anyone to review it, I'll keep on putting up chapters. (^>^) Otherwise I'll get all depressed and never write again…. Enjoy!!

A cool wind blew threw Sonic's open window. He could almost hear the voice of his former foe, Shadow, in the wind. He wondered if Shadow was such a bad guy. If he hadn't been under the control of Dr. Robotnic, maybe he wouldn't have been so bad. Oh well Sonic thought. The day was at its end so Sonic turned off his light and fell into his dreamland.
Sonic was back in space near ARK. He wasn't in his super form, but he was somehow surviving. He floated there in confusion when, suddenly, he saw something in the distance. He tried to swim through space towards it, but instead started falling to earth. He started to panic and fell faster. An image of Shadow came into his head. Down, down, down, he hurled until...
Sonic woke up with sweat dripping down his face. Maybe his dream was telling him something. Maybe he could survive in space without being in his super form. And maybe Shadow could, too. He rushed out of his room and ran to Tails' house. He flung open the door and grabbed Tails, who kept on sleeping. Because Tails weighed so much, Sonic found the Tornado, jumped in it with Tails, and started towards Knuckles' house. When he got there he found Knuckles in his living room meditating. "Sonic? What are you doing here at this hour?" Knuckles exclaimed.
"I think I may have some important information. Oh, just come on!" Sonic grabbed Knuckles and rushed out the door. Sonic threw Knuckles in the Tornado and took his captives to the chao garden at the Mystic Runes.
"Geez. Are you gonna tell us what all this is about now? You interrupted my dream about Ti- I mean meditation!" Knuckles said. Sonic told them about his dream. "So, what's so special about that? I have dreams about space all the time!"
"I think that dream is telling me something about Shadow maybe surviving!"
"Sonic, we both know that's impossible!" Tails exclaimed. "We all saw Shadow come out of his super form in space!"
"That's the thing," Sonic explained. "In my dream, I wasn't in super form."



A dark room with a fireplace barely glowing for the only light…
Two hedgehogs are talking. One paces the room and the other sits.
"Aww, come on please? Just stop it for a little while," the sitting one said.
"No, I have to do this. They all betrayed me. Left me to die. Don't worry; we can have some time together when I'm done. It won't take long," replied the pacing hedgehog. "Don't worry, I'll be okay."
"Sure," the sitting hedgehog muttered, "that's what you said when you went into space."




Dr. Robotnic sat back in his recliner. "Oh well, that's just another wasted good-for-nothing. Just like all my other failing minions. I think my next objective should be to get rid of the Sonic team. Then there will be no one to mess up my plans for world domination. I'll do it myself this time too. Everyone else always screws up!" He slowly closed his eyes and was about to fall asleep when he heard scratching on the top of his metal roof. He opened his eyes and saw a dent in the ceiling. It looked like someone had been standing there. "Is it that pesky hedgehog? Oh no! This is awful, he found my hideout! Well, my house anyway. Or maybe… it's worse. It could be a salesman! I'll have to go find out." He silently crept to the door and opened it. Before he could see or do anything a firm hand grasped his neck and squeezed it hard. He was suffocating. Robotnic could feel the air slowly leaking from his body. He was dizzy his world blacked out. He was barely living when the hand threw him to the ground. Robotnic tried to look and see whom it was but still couldn't see anything but blackness. A familiar voice yelled, "Traitor!" and Dr. Robotnic could hear the whoosh of someone turning, but couldn't hear any footsteps. He couldn't go on, he was still gasping for breath. He blacked out.
