A/N: I've just been updating this thing as if it were a bomb that would go off if I DIDN'T update… lol I hope you all liked the last chapter… This one is a little weirder, but I think it's still decent… Enjoy!

 

I woke up and lifted my head off of the pillow groggily, glancing at the clock. It took my eyes a couple of minutes to get used to the dark; it was 3:12 AM. I slept for nearly 13 hours straight!

 

I propped myself all the way up in my bed only to fall back down again; I was so tired. Before I knew it, I was asleep again…

 

Later that day…

 

When I awakened again, it was a sensible time of day: 10:31 AM. I got out of bed and took my usual shower, putting on my usual clothes and eating my usual breakfast. And I thought about how my day was probably gonna be the usual day.

 

But then my mind regressed back to last night, and I nearly choked on my cereal. I forgot about Shadow and the kiss. The long, sensual, fantastic kiss. I felt my breathing hitch some and I grabbed the glass of apple juice in front of me, downing it.

 

Fully functional once more, I stood up, suddenly having a loss of appetite, and left my apartment in search of Star; though I knew she was at the daycare.

 

When I reached the daycare, I was greeted at the door by a friendly looking squirrel named Krystal. She led me in to where Star was sitting at her computer.

 

Upon entering, I grabbed Star's arm and dragged her into the back room, closing the door.

 

“Star!” I panted, clutching my chest. “Something happened.”

 

“Oh, no…” she groaned. “You didn't…?”

 

“What?! Ew! No! Not that! Not yet, anyway…” I said, and, at the look on her face, quickly added, “No, he kissed me again. Only it was even more than last time, but it wasn't like, tongue and everything…”

 

She grimaced, obviously appalled by my description of the kiss. “That's gross, but good for you.” She said, giving me a thumbs-up.

 

“Wh- Wait, what?” I asked. “Good for me?”

 

“Yeah,” she said. “It's obvious you have feelings for him, and by him kissing you again, you now know that he has some sort of feelings for you…”

 

“And that's a good thing…?” I asked.

 

“Well, yeah,” she said. “Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to work. I thought this was an emergency…”

 

“Yeah,” I thought aloud when she left the room. “So did I…”

 

I left the daycare and looked around outside, just to see if Shadow was anywhere around. No sign of him. I sighed; I guess I wanted him to be there. I walked across the street to the coffee house again.

 

Once inside, the same cheetah from before addressed me. “Ok, now you want the usual, right?” she asked, hands on her hips.

 

“Yeah,” I said, reaching the counter as she turned around. “How've you been, Dizzy?”

 

“Not too bad. Working as usual,” she said, turning back around and handing me my coffee. “Star tells me you have this month off. That's so cool to be working for her! She's so awesome!”

 

“Hey, now,” I said defensively. “I don't work for her, I work with her. There's a difference.”

 

“There is?” she cocked her head in questioning. “Anyway, good luck with your month off. Stay warm!”

 

“Hey, that's why I'm drinking coffee, right?” I said.

 

I paid and left, waving to Dizzy as I did. Once I was outside, I took a sip of the steaming hot beverage, covering myself more from the cold. I walked to the park down the street, sitting on a bench.

 

My eyes wandered through the crowded park, stopping once in a while on a happy couple sitting under an oak tree. I sighed heavily, pulling my eyes away. When I did, I noticed Shadow standing over me.

 

“Hi, Shadow,” I said. He blinked at this sudden niceness and sat down next to me. I shifted my body so I could see him better, and him, me. “How are you today?” I didn't think trying to make casual chit-chat would be easy after last night, but it was worth a shot.

 

He narrowed his eyes, and said, “Fi-ne…” Something about the way he said made me believe that he didn't mean it.

 

“Shadow,” I said, shifting closer; to my surprise he didn't try to move away. I set my hand on his and looked into his eyes. “How do you feel about me?” I had to know.

 

“Uh…” Uncomfortable, he got up and started backing away. “I just remembered I had to meet that damn blue faker somewhere… I'll see you later, maybe…” He turned and ran off down the street.

 

Huh… He's a weird one… I thought. Finishing my coffee, I got up and threw the empty cup in the trash can and walked off toward my apartment.

 

When I got inside, I took off my jacket and threw it on the couch. I walked into the kitchen, opening the fridge to find something to eat. Finding nothing, I sighed, walking back out into the living room.

 

I gasped as I saw who was sitting on the couch; Shadow, again. I went and sat down next to him; as soon as I did, he grabbed my face and pressed his lips to mine once again, this time harder.

 

I shut my eyes and moaned as his tongue grazed my lips, sliding my arms around his neck. He laid me down on the couch as I opened my mouth for his tongue. I lost all of my senses as he caressed my arms with his hands, dancing his tongue with mine.

 

Then, as soon as it started, it all ended. He drew back, getting up off of me as I got up. I blinked, then blinked again, staring at him. “I…” I stuttered.

 

He shushed me by kissing me again. “No talking,” he said, and he got up and left. I was left, again, on my couch feeling stupid and confused.

 

“That's the second damn time he's left me!” I screamed after a minute, slamming my fist into the soft cushion. “That's it! This is gonna end NOW!” And I grabbed my jacket, throwing it on as I ran out of my apartment after him…

 

A/N: Wow… This is so weird to be writing this… And yet I STILL think it's going too fast for Shadow the Hedgehog… And me… But, I kind of like it anyway… I think it's starting to get more lame because I'm trying to write more and more, not thinking of how it's gonna turn out until the end, which is really bad, and now I'm just rambling on again, and I need to shut up so you all can have the time and the sanity to review… Please? Lol
