- The scene: just outside the ocean region. Sonic and Tails are seen riding on Knuckles' back as they prepare to enter the water. -

Knuckles: Well, here it is. Impressive, isn't it?

Tails: Very. Who could imagine all of the world's water confined into one big mass like this?

Sonic: Wait a minute Knuckles. A thought just came to me.

Knuckles: Really? Astounding!

- Tails giggles. -

Sonic: Listen, you knucklehead. If all of the world's water shifted into what you see right now, then how do you know this ocean base you speak of is right in front of us? For all we know, the base could have been relocated to the other side of this - this blob.

Knuckles: Hello! I did some scouting here earlier today, stupid. But the base is too deep. I needed a Chaos Emerald to keep me alive down there, so I went to Sunset Hill to find one.

Tails: Makes sense. It is the closest region to this one.

Knuckles: Hang on. We're about to enter.

Sonic: (takes out the red Emerald and places it on Knuckles' back) Grab a hold, Tails.

Tails: (grabs the Emerald) Ok. Here we go.

- A reddish bubble surrounds them as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles dive into the large mass of water. As they swim deeper and deeper, the base eventually becomes visible. But a strange explosion can be seen near the side of the base. Since the group can't talk underwater, they have to wait until they get inside to speak. Once they surface in what looks like a huge air pocket inside the base, Sonic is the first to say something. -

Sonic: (looking around) Wow. Look at this place.

Tails: Amazing.

Sonic: But I wonder why this place isn't flooding any more. That hole we entered through was HUGE!

Tails: You ever heard of air pockets? The air in here is forcing the water back, in a way, so the place isn't flooded completely. But I'm not sure how much longer the walls can hold. There's constant water pressure exerted on the base, so it might implode at any time.

Knuckles: (looking up) And don't look now, but the ceiling's leaking. Big time.

Sonic: Not good. Not good.

- They spot a breach in the ceiling, and water is flowing steadily in. -

Tails: Run for it!

- After attempting an escape to higher ground, they see a very steep slope in front of them. -

Sonic: Damn! No way out!

Tails: We could just float up, you know.

Sonic: But I can't swim!

Knuckles: Sonic, Tails, grab my feet.

Sonic: Say WHAT?!

Knuckles: Just do it, you sissy! I have an idea.

Sonic: If you say so.

- Sonic and Tails grab Knuckles' feet, and Knuckles begins to scale the wall. They just barely escape the flooding as it soon stops rising. -

Knuckles: Whew. That was close.

Sonic: I don't want to be around when the walls break again. Let's find the Emerald and get out of here.

- After a bit of searching, Tails finds a bluish glow coming from a small pile of debris. -

Tails: Hmm. I wonder… (pushes some debris aside) Aha!

- But his discovery is interrupted by a big, black, frog-like robot that blasted its way through a nearby wall; fortunately one that connects to another section of the base. G-mel can be seen positioned on top of the robot. -

Sonic: Eggman again.

Eggman: (sarcastically) However did you guess? Of course it's me! And I've come for the Emeralds you have.

- A mechanical arm comes out of the robot and grabs the blue Emerald from the debris pile. -

Sonic: And just what is this thing you got here, Eggman?

Eggman: I call it the Egg Frog 2.

Sonic: Another one of those pathetic machines of yours? Well, it won't be around too long to do its thing.

Eggman: Oh, how wrong you are, Sonic. This is its thing!

- The EF-2 jumps up and connects its feet. When it lands it creates a shock wave that sends Sonic and Tails into the wall. Knuckles, however, is able to glide over it and lands on Eggman's machine. -

Knuckles: I've had it. (thrusts his hand into the machine, pulling out many wires) How do you like that, huh? (crawls to the cockpit, thrusts his hand through the glass, and pulls out the blue Emerald)

- Obviously, Knuckles jumps off the robot before it explodes from the short-circuiting he caused. -

Eggman: You're going to pay for this! And I have just the way to do it! (takes out the yellow and purple Emeralds)

Tails: Hey! Since when did you get two Emeralds?

Eggman: I made a quick pit stop somewhere else.

Tails: Where?

Eggman: I'm not telling you. You'll have to find out the hard way. That is, if you even get out of here alive. G-mel, go for it!

- Eggman gives the Emeralds to G-mel. G-mel holds the purple Emerald toward the wall, and a purple beam shoots out of it, blasting a hole in the wall. Water starts rushing in, but G-mel then holds the yellow Emerald above his head. -

G-mel: Chaos Control!

Eggman and G-mel both disappear in a brilliant flash of light, stranding Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in the base.

Sonic: It can use Chaos Control?!

Tails: What do we do now?

Knuckles: I saw a place nearby that looked like a giant amusement park not too far from here. Can you possibly transport us there, Sonic?

Sonic: Well, I'll try.

Tails: Hurry up! The walls are beginning to collapse!

Sonic: Get a bit closer to me. (Tails and Knuckles stand closer to Sonic, and Sonic holds the blue Emerald above his head) Chaos Control!

The three also disappear in a brilliant flash of light as the walls on the base implode on themselves, rendering the base completely demolished.

Well, what are you waiting for? Review already! Don't worry. I can take anything you may throw at me. *Note* I will be going back to school sometime during Labor Day week; most likely on September 8 or 9. Since I'm going to be a junior in high school, you can imagine I won't be on much. I'll try to post a schedule of sorts regarding when I'll be on MM.org on my profile page as soon as possible. Until next time, see ya!
