SONIC VACATION

PART TWO: THE VACATION CONTINUES

It had been mid-afternoon when the Sonic gang had arrived on Angel island for their vacation.

And after Tails had announced that he was "so damm tired from flying the plane, that he just wanted to collapse and die, or at least pass out" they had quickly decided on where everyone was sleeping, so that poor Tails could get some rest.

Since Knuckles house only had six rooms {a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, a sitting room, and two spare rooms} it was that decided that the boys, Sonic, Shadow and Tails, would share one room, and the girls Rouge, Amy and Cream {and Cheese!} would share the other.

It was now night time, and everyone was asleep, all that could be heard were the sounds of nature and the tiny pattering of Chao feet.

Wait a second! I thought they were all asleep? Apparently not...

Cheese flapped his little pink wings and flew quietly up onto the windowsill.

Since there were no street lights or other houses on the island, it made it very dark outside, and you could see the stars perfectly.

" Chao..." Cheese breathed in awe as he stared up at the starlit sky.

Feeling the sudden urge to go outside and see the stars even clearer, with no window in the way, Cheese jumped of the windowsill and flew out of the door.

He landed on the floor and padded softly down the hallway, he giggled a little as he passed the boys room and heard Sonic snoring loudly.

' That must make it difficult for Tails and Shadow to sleep' he thought as he quietly opened the front door and went outside, closing the door behind him.

Once outside he looked up the sky, his mouth hanging open slightly.

'Pretty...'

He blinked and turn his head to the side as he suddenly heard a soft whirring noise.

'I wonder what that is'

And with that he flew in the direction the noise was coming from.

Cheese's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the small Robot.

'What's this thing...oh wait, i remember Sonic saying something about robotic Chao...'

" Hi, I'm Omochao! I'm here to help you!" said Omochao, his yellow eyes glowing in a quite demonic manner.

'Omochao? AH! That's what Sonic call the evil fake Chao!'

Cheese glared at Omochao and pointed an accusing finger at him.

" Chao!" {"Faker!"} yelled Cheese.

Omochao's eyes flashed ad he glared back at Cheese.

" What!? Faker? I'm not even good enough to be your fake!"

...

" Wait, that didn't come out right..."

But Cheese, having become bored with this conversation, whipped out a random Chao toy and whacked Omochao over the head with it.

This caused the annoying little Robot to short circuit and start running about in a panic.

"AHH!! You naughty little Chao! How dare ye hurt me!?"

And suddenly Omochao collapsed to the floor in a heap.

Cheese blinked and stared at him for a moment, and then with a quick shrug of his shoulders, he turn and flew back to the house.

Shadow's eyes slowly started to open, he blinked a few times and tried to rid himself of his sleepy feeling.

He rolled over, only to come face to face with a sight that he could only describe as adorable.

Sonic, lying curled up in a little ball, with his face half buried in his pillow, and snoring lightly.

'Awww' thought Shadow 'What a great thing to wake up to, he's so Kawaii!'

Shadow smiled as he continued to stare {and drool} at the sleeping Hedgehog.

'I wish i could be curled up there with him' he thought 'And then i could tell him how much i love him, and he'd say how much he loves me, and then we could-'

Shadow paused his trail of thought, his mind deciding that it would be best to stop thinking like that before certain parts of his body could take an interest in his little daydream.

It was at that moment that the door was flung open and Amy came stalking in.

" Good morning Sonikku!!" she screeched loudly, nearly deafening Shadow, and causing Sonic to leap up from his sleep, screaming something about whip wielding pink demons.

" Er, are you ok Sonic?" Shadow asked.

" Yeah I'm fine. A little deafened and scared for life, but otherwise I'm fine"

" Oh Sonikku, your so funny!" said Amy, and she proceeded to burst out laughing.

Her laugh reminded Shadow of someone scraping their nails across a blackboard, and it made him and Sonic cringe.

It also made Tails wake up too.

" Urg, what's that noise?" Tails groaned sleepily, " It sounds like a banshee on drugs"

His comment caused Amy to burst into tears and race out of the room.

Tails blinked in surprise.

" Er, was it something i said?" he asked sheepishly.

Amy dashed into her room and slammed the door shut, still crying her eye out.

Rouge, who was sitting on her bed reading a random book, looked up as she entered.

" What's the matter with you Amy?" she asked.

" Tails made fun of my laugh!" sniffed Amy, brushing some tears from her eyes.

" ...That's what's got you so upset?" Rouge asked in disbelief, " That's not really that bad a thing, why are you so upset about that?"

" It is a bad thing!" cried Amy, " Sonikku-chan was there! Tails made me look stupid in front of him, now he'll never like me!"

Amy flopped down on her bed and buried her face in the pillow.

Rouge sighed and looked at her sympathetically, " I'm sorry Amy. But you know...i don't really think that Sonic will ever think of you that way..."

Amy look up quickly, " What!?"

Rouge started to look nervous, " Well, it's just...a few days ago he told me that he only thought of you as a little sister"

" He did?"

" Yeah"

Amy blinked, then narrowed her eyes.

" Then I'm just going to have to make him change how he thinks of me"

Knuckles yawned as he sat up and stretched.

'I wonder if the other's are up?' he wondered.

Knuckles sighed to himself and yawned again.

'I don't see why Sonikku had to share with Shadow, he could have just shared with me'

Knuckles eyes narrowed in annoyance as he thought of Shadow.

'Stupid Hedgehog, trying to steal my Sonikku...'

The Echidna jumped up as a thought suddenly hit him.

'Ah! He'll probably try and make a move on Sonikku! What if he does...and Sonikku likes it...?'

Knuckles walked over to the door and opened it.

'No way is he going to win MY Sonikku!'

And with that, Knuckles left his room and walked off down the hallway.

By the time everyone was finally up it was almost lunch time.

And so, everybody sat around Knuckles' large kitchen table {Knuckles and Shadow both managed to get the seats on either side of Sonic} eating a nice tasty meal of fruit, and whatever else they could manage find.

Amy was still not talking to Tails, though the poor fox wasn't sure why, since he had been half asleep when he had made his insulting remark to her.

" Amy, could you please tell me what I've done to upset you?" Tails asked finally, and everybody else began glancing between him and Amy.

" No" she answered.

" Why not?" he asked.

" Because"

" Because what?"

" Just because"

" That isn't a reason!"

" Yes it is"

" Not it isn't"

" Yes it is!"

" No it isn't!"

" Yes it is!"

" No it-"

" Look" Sonic interrupted, " This could go on for hours. So could you please just both shut up?"

" Ok Sonikku!" Amy said instantly.

'Wow, that was easy' thought Sonic.

" So Knuckles," began Cream, " I was just wondering, what could we do after lunch?"

" Yeah" nodded Rouge, " What is there to do on this island anyway?"

Knuckles glanced down at the table for a moment before answering.

" Well, um, there actually is something we could do" he said.

" Well what is it?" asked Shadow.

" You know how I've always said that this island is completely deserted, except for me?"

Everyone nodded.

" That's not really entirely true, THIS half of the island is empty, but on the other half there is a small town, with a small fun fair"

" A funfair!?" Sonic cried out happily, " Cool! Let's go!"

Knuckles and Shadow blushed a little at the excited expression on Sonic's face.

" But how are we going to get there?" Cream asked.

Tails grinned, " Never fear, Tails is here!"

Everyone walked outside, and Tails pulled out a small remote controller.

Pushing a button on the front of it, the Tornado 4 transformed into a large car, with seven seats.

" Everyone grab a partner and hop in!" said Tails, as he climbed into the drivers seat himself.

Knuckles and Shadow both turned to grab Sonic as there partner, only to see that Amy already had.

Rouge then grabbed Knuckles arm and pulled him into the seat next to her.

" I guess that means your with me" said Cream, as she and Cheese sat down in their seat at the back.

" I guess it does" sighed Shadow.

` Oh damm it, I didn't get to sit next to Sonikku-chan! Oh well, at least that stupid Echidna didn't get to either' thought Shadow.

" Um, I must warn you Shadow, I do often get car sick…" said Cream.

Shadow blinked….then gulped fearfully.

` Uh oh….' He thought.

About an hour later, they were well on the way to the town, or more importantly, the fun fair.

" Just how far away is this place anyway? " Rouge asked.

" We'll probably be there in another half hour or so" said Knuckles. " Remember, it is on the other side of the island"

" How comes you know all about this place anyway Knuckles? You don't really strike me as the fun fair kind of guy" said Cream.

" After a hard day of guarding the Master Emerald, I like to go their to relieve myself of the stress " explained Knuckles.

Tails looked away from the road for a moment, glancing over his shoulder at the others, and grinning almost evilly, he said.

" Heh, why do that? Surely if you wanted to `relieve yourself of the stress ' you could just ma-"

" Tails" Sonic interrupted, " You finish that sentence, and I swear I'm shove this hammer down your throat."

" Sorry Sonikku-san!" Tails grinned, turning back to the road.

" And, while weir on that matter, why the hell is there a box of hammers, spanners, and small robotic chickens in this car?"

Tails blush suddenly, " Er…no reason!"

" Okay…., um, forget I asked…"

" Don't worry, I have"

Cheese took this moment to wake up screaming from the nap he had been having, scaring the hell out of Shadow, who was sitting next to him..

" Don't do that!" Shadow shrieked at Cheese.

The Chao gave him an apologetic look, and began to wave his arms frantically.

" I'm sorry, I was just having a bad dream about that weird Chao I met last night" Cheese said, in Chao language.

" You know, we can't understand you" said Amy.

Cheese sighed and reached behind his back, pulling out a pad of paper and a pen.

" Where did you get that from?" Knuckles asked him.

" Well where to you get the Master Emerald from?" asked Shadow.

" Um, good point" said Knuckles, `Stupid sense making Hedgehog…'

While this was going on, Cheese had began furiously scribbling something on the pad of paper, when he finished he held up the pad for everyone to see.

" I had a bad dream about a weird robotic Chao that I saw when I went outside last night, sorry for frightening that idiot Shadow " read Cream

Shadow glared at the now smirking Cheese, and then at the grinning Echidna.

` I've decided that I like that Chao' thought Knuckles, ` Even though he did punch me in the face once…

" Wait a minuet…a Robotic Chao?" asked Sonic.

Cheese nodded, and everyone exchanged nervous glances.

" Omochao!?"

" Ah!" cried Tails, " Dear god, Omochao's here too, it's a fate worse than death!"

` Oh great, not only am I stuck here with Amy, I'm also stuck here with Omochao' Sonic thought sadly, his ears drooping.

" Well let's just hope he isn't getting near us" said Shadow.

* * * * *

" Hey! I think I'm getting near them!" Omochao cried happily.

The little Robot was flying along after the blue car, it was quite easy to spot, being the only car there.

" Don't worry my friends, I'll be with you soon, then I can help all of you!" said Omochao.

And turning his propellers faster, he continued to fly towards them.

" Guys, I think I can hear a strange noise" Cheese wrote on his paper, holding it up once again.

" Who cares about that! Weir here!" exclaimed Amy.

Tails pulled the car into the small parking lot of the fun fair, and everybody got out.

" Ok guys, what are we going to go on first?" asked Tails.

Sonic glanced around and noticed something that caused his eyes to sparkle in delight.

" Ice cream!" he shrieked happily, dashing towards the ice cream stand.

The others followed after him, and caught up with him at the stand, and began deciding what to get.

" I'll pay for yours Cream" Tails offered.

Cream cheeks went pink as she blushed and smiled at Tails.

" Thank you Tails-chan!" she said, leaning over and kissing him lightly on the cheek.

Tails blushed brightly, " Oh, t-that's ok" he stammered, and brought him and Cream a small cone each.

` Aww, those two are so cute' thought Cheese, who sat happily on Creams shoulder.

Cheese blinked his bright blue eyes curiously as Knuckles also offered to buy Sonic an ice cream, and Shadow shot the Echidna a very annoyed look.

` Hello, what do we have here…' Cheese thought, ` Oh I get it, they like Sonikku! This should be fun!'

Everyone got their Ice creams and sat down on some nearby benches, Shadow and Knuckles once again both managed to sit next to Sonic.

Sonic sighed happily and began to eat his ice cream, running his tung all over the cold treat, and quickly licking up any ice cream that spilled over the sides of the cone.

It only took a few minuets for Sonic to finish the whole thing, sucking the last of the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, and then eat the cone itself.

" Ah…" Sonic moaned softly, closing his eyes and leaning back against the bench, " That was nice…"

Knuckles and Shadow were gawping openly at the Hedgehog next to them, both obviously quite turned on by what they had just seen.

Cheese smirked and covered his mouth with his paws to stop himself from bursting out laughing.

` Hehe, I knew this would be fun, I wonder if anyone else has noticed?' he thought.

Tails had. And he was staring at Knuckles and Shadow with one eyebrow raised, and a slightly surprise look on his face.

` Geez, how comes I never noticed THAT before?' he wondered.

Shadow stood up abruptly, his face flushed and he was sweating nervously.

" Um, er, I'll be back in a minuet!" he mumbled quickly, and dashed off rather hurriedly.

" What's up with him?" asked Sonic.

` Interesting way of putting it….' Cheese giggled to himself.

" Oh don't worry" chuckled Tails, " He's just going to `relieve himself of the stress' so to speak!"

" Huh?" Sonic paused and thought for a moment, and then suddenly realised what he meant, " Oh…"

` Wait a minuet…why would Shadow need to do THAT? What could of possibly made him get-` Sonic stopped mid-thought as he brain suddenly started to kick in.

` He only did that after I ate the ice cream, does that mean I did that to him?'

Sonic's jaw dropped and his eyes widened at his sudden realisation.

` Shadow likes me!?'

Cool, Sonic's found out that Shadow likes him, now what about Knuckles?
