Is that y...you?" A groggy Sonic had barely enough strength to open his eyes. All he remembered was the fall.

surprised you survived that fall, Sonic. Then again, I'm extremly glad you did!" Sally sounded a bit concerned, yet, she was trying to sound like a simple friend; she hadn't summoned up the courage to tell Sonic about her feelings for him.


Sonic began to slowly make it so he was sitting up.


Sonic?" Sally actually was blushing when Sonic asked her something.


am I?" Sonic had no idea that he was in a hospital, that fall had really hurt his memory slightly.


at Knothole hospital...And I'm right next to you." Sally despretely wanted to tell him, but she couldn't, she justr couldn't summon the courage to say those three words that could change her life.


cold, Sally..." No joke, either, Sonic was shivering from head to toe.


got on the bed, and snuggled up to Sonic, trying get him warm through her.


you, Sally. You're the best..." Sonic fell right back to sleep when he said this.


only I could tell you...Why is this SO hard?!" Sally said to herself.


just let it go and snuggled closer to Sonic's side, Sonic's shivering gradually subsiding. Sally just continued to hold Sonic. .

woke up, Sonic still asleep, but he had a small grin on his face, and he was red near his cheeks.


must know I feel!" Sally was getting hopeful, but just as quickly, the red cheeks subsided, and Sally realized that he was just hot.


continued watching Sonic sleep; he looked so peaceful sleeping, which was a HUGE transaction from when he's awake.


just wonder if he feels the same way..." Sally said to herself.

had been by Sonic's side for an entire four days now, and was wondering if Sonic would ever be well enough to get going.





Sally gave Sonic a big bear hug, but had to loosen up when Sonic couldn't breath.


Sonic. I just got a little excited.." Said Sally, slightly blushing, but it was completly obvious to Sonic, who was blushing too.


to go?" Sonic said it, and Sally was more then ready to get out of there.





why were you blushing earlier when I asked you that question, Sally?" Sally had been hoping Sonic would ask her that, but she had to answer honestly.


see-" Sally was about to fess up, when Eggman came out of nowhere, and stuck a gun to Sally's head.


Put her down! NOW!!!!" Sonic demanded, seeing the fear in Sally's eyes.


should I?! You love, her, don't you?! YOU try and save her!!!" Eggman mocked Sonic, taunting him with the trigger.


warning you, Eggman! Don't make me use force!!!" Sonic began rolling his sleeve up, but backed away when Eggman pointed the gun to Sally's head.


better! Its nice to see you, Sonic, know when you're beaten!" Eggman snickered as he began taking small steps backwards, towards an escape pod.


Sonic wanted so badly to hurt Eggman, but he couldn't; not with that gun pointed to Sally's head.


however, found a better, more efficient way to deal with Eggman; Despite the gun to her head, Eggman had her in an awkward position, and her legs were in the exact spot they needed to be in to do some SERIOUS damage.


all happened in one swift motion: the kick, the dash, the escape.


Eggman was writhing in pain from the kick to the *ahem*, Sonic and Sally were making their escape.


the exit!" Sally cheered.


and Sally left the area, got to a location FAR from where Eggman was and took refuge there.


at least we KNOW he wouldn't think of finding us here!" Sonic was still blushing slightly from Sally holding his hand.


thing was, was that neither of them tried to stop it.


want a chili-dog, Sonic?" Sally knew that answer.


YEAH!!!" Sonic ran full speed towards the Chili-Dog stand, leaving a laughing Sally behind.


and them Chili-Dogs...I think they were made for each other." Sally commented to herself.


finally caught up to Sonic, but Sonic had something in his hand, not a chili-dog, but something that looked like it wasn't meant for Sonic.


that, Sonic?" Sally asked.


its nothing...nothing really!" Sonic did his best truthful face he could, but to no avail...Sally wasn't THAT easy to fool; in fact, she COULDN'T be fooled! Sonic knew this,but tried anyways.


discuss this later on, ok?" Sonic asked Sally, slightly blushing.

do you want anything, Sally?" Sonic asked very nervously.


um, how about a walk around the park?" Sally asked.


I'm sure it'll be fun!" Sonic said with a grin.


so fun to be around, yet, I wonder if he has the same feelings towards me as I do him?" Sally pondered this question countless times in her head. This, of course, didn't go unnoticed by the blue hedgehog.


about three hours through the park, Sonic was getting concerned about Sally; she hadn't been talkative much, which wasn't like her. Concerned, Sonic sat on one of the benches and had Sally sit next to him.


is there something wrong?" Sonic looked at her, truly concerned about her.


no-nothing wrong just..." Sally couldn't finish her sentence.





I guess I can't hide it from you anymore...Sonic, I need to know something...Do you..." Sally was extremly nervous about this, despite having the best oppurtunity to tell Sonic.


What is it?" Sonic put his arm around Sally's shoulders and began to lightly rub them, giving Sally goosebumps from his touch.


need to know...Do you...L-L-L..." Sally couldn't even say the one word that could either change her life for the better or for the worse.


gave her a strange look, and that made Sally feel even worse.


knew it...He doesn't feel the same way...I should never had put him through this!" Sally was about to just walk away, when she saw something from Sonic that halted her advance.


had a smile on his face, and was slightly crying. Sally was uncertain if he loved her or not. Then, however, that smile got bigger, and finally, their eyes met.


you!" Sonic said Sally, holding her hand.


had not seen this much emotion from Sonic for a long time.


you for telling me! I was going to, but...I just couldn't muster the courage to say it!" Sonic was downright sobbing on Sally's shoulder.


mean?" Sally was feeling so hopeful, she felt as if she knew what the answer was.


I love you, Sally!" Those words echoed in Sally's head for a long time, she too started crying. Finally, their eyes met again, and their lips were becoming less separated by the second.


their lips met in a passionate kiss. The kiss lasted a short while, but it felt like an eternity for the two lovers.


you, Sally! I'm so glad you told me! I was beginning to wonder if my mind was playing tricks on my thoughts! I love you, Sally!" Sonic really meant it, too.


where do you want to go now?" Sally asked a still-crying Sonic.


Sonic said very simply.


home it is..." Sally and Sonic decided to walk instead of run to the house, that way it could be just a little more memorable.


they got to Sally's house, Sonic gave Sally a quick kiss and was about to leave, when Sally's voice stoped him in his tracks.


Would you like to come in for a little while?" Sally sounded monotonuos and Sonic couldn't refuse.





looked around Sally's house; it was really beautiful. Chandelers made of crystal were numerous!


then took a few glances of the pictures hung on the walls and shelfs. One of them was one done by Sally on Sonic.


couldn't believe how much Sally had grown up, her hair had changed from a lighter shade of orange to a dark shade of red...Her changes on the outside were readily apparent...Her eyes...


stopped at her eyes; the eyes which captivated him whenever he stared into them...Those light-blueish eyes...the ones that gave Sonic shivers all over fro their stare.


finally snapped back to reality, only to discover that Sally was missing.


Sally!" Sonic called out for Sally, but got no answer.


in the bedroom!" Sonic heard Sally call from the bedroom.


walked to the entrence of the room, and noticed something different about this room.


on in...Sonic." Sally said.


took a glance around the room and a strange scent drove his nose wild...Sally's perfume.


Sonic? Thank you for a great time...I feel I need to repay you somehow..." Sally sounded almost desperate to Sonic.


Sonic could only say her name, when Sally gave Sonic a kiss on the lips, causing him to blush a deep red.
