Chapter 1: Sonic's FinalHazard Story

Events take place right after Shadow defeats Biolizard

Me and Knuckles had reached the core of the Eclipse Cannon. Knuckles placed the Emerald into the middle of the core to neutralize the Chaos Emeralds' power. Suddenly behind us, the defeated Biolizard released a deafening roar. Shadow came running up the core at the same time. The Biolizard's form then disappeared into bright light. Shadow looked bewildered. "Is that what Chaos Control is?!" He asked, panting. Just then, the whole space station ARK started shaking. Knuckles remarked, "If we've stopped the Chaos Emeralds, why is the space colony still on a crash course to Earth?" Eggman's voice blared overhead, answering Knuckles. "The prototype is still alive! It's become one with the space station, and is determined to keep it on its crash course." Knuckles started to wail-yell. "Sonic!" I knew what danger the Earth was in. I needed to go Super. But even so, I couldn't do it alone. I thought for a second. Shadow, he and I are so alike, but what if he can't. . . I looked him in the eye, hoping he'd understand. He looked back, and stopped panting. Immediately, we started gathering the Chaos Emeralds' power. We then reached our Super forms. Shadow was silverish, with the red streaks that he usually has. Then we ventured out side of the ARK to confront the FinalHazard. It was horrendous. One of its claws was missing, one of the connectors to its life-support system was cut off, and there was a big red boil on it. Me and Shadow took turns, dodging the lasers and spheres that were thrown towards us, and attacking the red boil. Eventually, the giant thing was defeated for good, and as we prepared to Chaos Control the ARK away, I looked at Shadow. I had never seen him like this. His face was strained, tears in his eyes, and bared teeth. It was time. "CHAOS CONTROL!" We yelled, warping the ARK away. But all I saw was Shadow falling towards Earth, then nothing more.

Later, I boarded ARK again. Rouge asked, "Where is Shadow?" I could only look down and shake my head. I handed her what was left: The golden ring that was around his wrist. She looked at me and said,"Do you really think, that Shadow was created to take revenge on all the humans who live on Earth?" I didn't know, so I replied,"He was what he was. A brave and noble hedgehog who gave his life to save the planet." We eventually filed out the door. I was last, and before I left, took one last look out the window. "Sayonara," I sighed, "Shadow the Hedgehog."
