Chapter 4- TheTet'TaroHeist
On board The Mistress
The Tet'Taro system was uninhabited except for a single mining facility and the Imperial Military Base. The mining facility was small if successful with enough quarters to house the random space travelers that haphazardly found their way there; this included a working bar that Imperial soldiers and officers tended to visit on their recreation hours. It was there that The Mistress docked saying that the ship needed repairs. In reality they had sat for a day and devised their plan to get into the base.
“So once inside we find the skiff and the spices.” Hadda said as he leaned back. “I'll be dressed as an Imperial officer taking you into the prison with Tivia dressed as a Bounty Hunter.”
Aayla nodded. “All we need to do is find a single command center to find the location of the skiff and the spices.”
Hadda rubbed his unshaven chin. “I'll need to shave and one of you will have to cover up my tattoo.”
Tivia was trying on spare scraps of blast armor in an attempt of making herself look like a battle hardened Bounty Hunter. She turned around her hair weaving gracefully behind her goggles. “I'll do the make up once you go retrieve your new uniform.”
Hadda stood up and cracked his knuckles. “I guess I'll head to the bar for a drink.”
Aayla walked behind Tivia and tightened down the woman's breast plate. “Hadda you have to make it secret.” A sudden idea crept into her head and she turned around with a mischievous smile. “Or perhaps you won't even need to fight.”
Tivia placed a half ventilator mask on her face and tightened down the straps on her head. She turned around with a similar smile looking at Aayla. When she spoke the mask caused her voice to sound almost robotic. “I think I know what you're thinking of. The seduction act.”
Hadda huffed. “Fine!” He looked at Tivia. “I suppose I better get dressed up like you then.” Aayla turned around as she pulled out several highly revealing outfits that Tivia owned.
“Why?”
Hadda eyed the outfits in her hand. “You'll be our Bounty Hunter mistress.” He grinned. “And we the guards.”
Tivia strapped on a spiked gauntlet. “Where the hell did Bane get all of this junk?”
Aayla lifted one of dresses that was made out of strips of material that covered only the extremities fully. “I could ask you the same.”
Tivia turned around and snatched it out of Aayla's hands. “I love that dress!” She would have sounded gleeful had her voice was not the decibel level more akin to a demon.
Aayla found a dress that was risqué and yet kept the viewer fantasizing about what lay underneath. “This is perfect.” Secretly she wanted to show it to Bane. In private.
Hadda clasped a forearm blaster around his arm and tightened down his breast plate. He glanced up. “I'm going armed if you're wearing that.”
Tivia tossed her a make up box as she passed. “This is going to be great.”
A few minutes later after Aayla had changed in Bane's personal cabin she entered the entry way to the ship where her two comrades waited. When she turned the corner Hadda's mouth dropped and Tivia smiled sexily.
Aayla was clothed in the dark dress with elegant makeup on her already gorgeous features. The dress had straps that crisscrossed on her shoulders which supported the cups that held her breasts. The material ran along her curves and clung to her muscular form. At the sight of her friend's faces she wanted to only see Bane's reaction. She smiled and looked through her eye lashes.
Tivia let out a terrifying mechanical giggle. “To bad we are only looking for a single Imperial officer. We could take an army with you in that dress”
One hour later
“You're a very beautiful my lady!” The drunken Imperial officer said with a hiccup. He began to ascend the ramp into the The Mistress. Aayla had done well. He was a high rank corporal at the Military base and would be more than sufficient to get them inside the base.
He carried a translucent blue drink in his hand and when he leaned in to try and kiss her he smelled of booze. She dodged the glistening lips and wagged a finger.
“I don't want to rush myself. You're turning me on that much!” She said with small, very fake, breathy pants.
The man in uniform smiled crookedly and snickered. “You craving a fuck that bad?”
Aayla wanted to hit him but instead she forced a seductive smile on her face. “You don't even know.”
The man suddenly lunged and both of them crashed against the wall. She felt his tongue hot, wet, and stinking licking and sticking to her slender neck. Her eyes widened when she felt his hand suddenly grab her rear and start yanking it brutally outward. She began shoving him off when his other hand slammer her own against the wall.
“I'm going to make you bleed!” He hissed in her ear.
He suddenly let out a loud groan and slumped atop Aayla. With a disgusted shove she threw the man on to his back. She hurriedly began to wipe off the man's saliva from her body.
“Wow that guy worked fast.” Tivia said as she ascended the ramp.
Hadda snickered as he dragged the man away. “Probably would have ended just as fast too.”
Aayla wiped off her neck again. “Get that idiots uniform.” She growled and began walking to Bane's quarters to change once more. “Let's grab the skiff and find Bane.” What that man had just attempted would have warranted him death had Bane been around. And frankly he should not have even considered trying. What Aayla had she would offer only to Bane.
After Hadda had taken off the man's uniform an unexpected surprise was found in the pockets. Hadda came running onto the flight deck the clothes draped over one arm.
”We have a ride!”
Tivia and Aayla looked up. Tivia narrowed her eyes. “Have you been sampling spices?”
Hadda rolled his eyes and slapped an access card onto the control panel. “He brought an Imperial ship.” He grinned. “We won't even need to take The Mistress.”
Aayla nodded and stood grabbing the pair of handcuffs that sat before her. “Get changed, get the make up done, and let's find this ship.” She looked out of the cockpit that stared out towards the military base that the mining colony rotated around and played with her lightsaber in one hand. “We leave in ten minutes.”
Western Entry Point to Base Beta Moc Telos.
An Imperial officer examined Hadda, Tivia, and the hooded and handcuffed Aayla. Two Storm Troopers stood behind him their blasters held across their chests. The look in the man's grey eyes was slightly bored.
“You met this Bounty Hunter at the recreation base?”
Hadda nodded. “Yes sir.”
Tivia spoke up. “Commander I want to collect my bounty and be on my way.”
The commander looked them up and down and motioned forward their prisoner. “Who is she?” It was protocol. It just wouldn't do to let in just anyone. The Corporal checked out with his passes, the bounty hunter was obvious, but it was hooded and downcast person that aroused even a slight amount of interest.
Tivia answered. “Rogue Jedi.”
He nodded and looked her over once more. Everything was in order. He motioned to the two guards. The prisoner was a Jedi. “Escort them to the prison block.”
++++++++
Hadda let out a breath as they proceeded through the hallway that led to the prison block. The base was not massive by any means. It held twelve hundred soldiers that guarded backwater prisoners and was used as a fleet stop off point and bounty trade in.
They walked past a large hangar and the three thieves saw their goal. It was a large skiff and almost ironically a large stacked pile of spice barrels was loaded to a gravity pallet. Hadda glanced at Tivia. The beautiful woman nodded.
They continued to follow the Storm Troopers that walked with them and passed an elevator that would ascend to a control bay for the hangar. Hadda glanced back at the hooded rogue Jedi. She nodded when she saw his face. With a sudden snap her hand cuffs fell to the floor. One of the men turned around.
Tivia raised her blaster when the dark robed form of Aayla rushed forward. The Twi'lek's leg snapped out and the heel of her boot smashed the throat of the first trooper with a sickening crunch. With a quick motion of her elegant hand, the lightsaber on Tivia's belt shot to her. The green blade extended and with one deadly sweep the second man fell with out a sound.
Hadda grimaced and tossed his command cap on the dead men and began dragging the corpses to side of the hallway. “So much for being subtle.”
Tivia yanked off her face mask, threw it on the men and raised her goggles. “It's going to get real noisy around here real quick.”
Aayla already had the elevator open and she glanced to the other two. “Time to go.”
Hadda gripped a blaster in one hand and tightened down a Storm Trooper utility belt as the elevator shot up. “You two are going to have to keep those guards off of me while I get the skiff and the spices loaded and prepped.”
Tivia raised her pistol and checked the charge. “We have our Jedi here. I think we'll do just fine.” She sighed. “I can load the spices. You just make sure to get the damn tractor beam disabled.”
Hadda snorted. “Just don't get your pretty face shot off.”
Aayla held up her hand. The elevator's slowing speed had broken her thoughts of Bane. “There are soldiers in the room above.” She stared at the door serenely. “So stop bickering.”
The doors opened and several soldiers looked up from their stations in confusion. Aayla flew into action and Force threw three Troopers against the wall. She stepped out, her lightsaber revealing some of her features. The five other men stood quickly and raised their blast pistols.
“Put down the guns boys!” Hadda yelled as he entered the room and aimed his weapon. Tivia followed and motioned the men to the corner.
She glanced back at Aayla with a grin. “This is going great!”
Several minutes later all the soldiers were handcuffed and Hadda was arranging the
panels to deactivate the tractor beam that held the skiff on the base. Tivia was sitting next to him preparing the spices to be loaded.
Aayla stared silently down in the hangar at the one chance of rescuing her comrade, rescuer, friend, and companion. Hadda snapped his fingers. “It's good to go Aayla. All we have to do is get to the ship.”
Aayla nodded and turned away from her view. “Tivia?”
The woman looked through the large view window that stared down into the hangar. “Give me a few more minutes.”
The elevator dinged. Aayla spun around her saber already on. “We have company.”
The doors opened and Storm Troopers rushed out, for a brief second Aayla wondered just how they had fit so many of the men in the elevator. Their weapons rang out and bolts flew towards Aayla and Tivia. Her lightsaber deflected several and Tivia rolled to the floor. A Trooper motioned and his helmet crackled.
“Blast `em!”
Aayla flipped over the computer bank and ducked just as a shower of shots hit the where she had stood half a second before. Hadda sat against the wall and periodically jumped up his blaster ringing out. Tivia fell over the side with a loud crash muttering in Zeltronian.
“The spices need to be loaded by hand.”
Aayla groaned. “Why didn't it just load when you were sitting there?”
Hadda let out a growl and ducked down as blasts flew over his head. “They fried the system.” Tivia ducked up and began firing. “This is turning into a really bad situation Aayla.”
She nodded. “I'll buy us some time. You two have to load it while I complicate things.”
Hadda laughed as another blast shot above their heads. Aayla ignited her weapon and jumped over the bank. She flew through the smoke that the weapon's fire had created. She landed side by side with two Storm Troopers.
With two graceful cuts, and the incurring sound of seared blast armor they fell. She didn't notice them. Her blade spun at a dizzying speed deflecting shots. Running forward and jumping she felled four more. She heard Hadda yell behind her.
She was lulled into the dance of her forms. The graceful song of her weapon rang and more of her foes fell. In the back of her head she could not believe how well she fought. She beheaded the final man and the smoke began to dissipate. The floor was covered in corpses and hacked off limbs.
She turned around and found Tivia wrapping a piece of cloth around Hadda's arm. The man was grimacing in pain. “Are you alright?”
Tivia tightened the cloth and gave the wound a light tap with her hands, Hadda growled in response. “Tough guy here took a little shot to the shoulder is all. He'll be fine.”
Aayla nodded once more. “Lets get to the hangar.”
Several minutes later within the hangar
Hadda shot down a second Storm Trooper. He spun around and saw Tivia manually moving the gravity pallet full of spices into the hold of the skiff. Aayla was guarding her and hopping around to fight against attacking Imperial troops.
“Tivia get that thing inside now!”
She shot at a soldier and yelled back. “It's good to go, you just need to get inside and raise the damn thing!”
Hadda spat and yelled at Aayla as she cut down three other Storm Troopers. “Aayla get to the ship!” Laser blasts caused him to duck behind the entry ramp. He leaned out and shot. A trooper fell, his face a sparking mess.
Tivia ran past him and fired off several shots as she ran backwards up the ramp. “I think we should leave now!”
Hadda yelled. “Aayla get into the goddamned ship!”
The blue skinned beauty flipped over two more soldiers her robes flapping gently. Both men fell headless and the large blast doors opened and another squad of Storm Troopers rushed in shooting. The rogue Jedi dropped onto the ramp and glanced at the Bounty Hunter.
“Stop fooling around, close your mouth, and get us the hell out of here.”
Hadda's mouth flapped but no sounds came out. He sputtered as she turned on her heel and went into the ship. Jumping up he continued shooting at the Imperial soldiers as he backed up the ramp. In mid stride he muttered.
“Living in one ship with two women! I wish Bane was back!”
Jabba's Space Skiff en-route to Tet'Taro Mining Base.
“Incoming Imperial Fighters!” Hadda yelled as the skiff's shields took several hits and caused all to bounce roughly.
Tivia had run to the engine room and the inner-ship communications rang out with Zeltroni cursing. Aayla held the second pilot seat and tried to push more speed from the engines into the ship.
“The base is five minutes off.” She said calmly as she hit a switch. “Rerouting deflector shields to the rear.”
Another blast rocked them. “Fuck!” Hadda yelled. He unstrapped himself and ran from the cockpit with a yell. “Get us to The Mistress Aayla; I'm going to see if this hunk of junk has any form of weaponry.”
With that Aayla was left with a communications that rang with some of the foulest words known to the galaxy and a stretch of space that was being showered with weapon fire. With a savage jerk she spun the ship. Bolts flew past the cockpit harmlessly. She felt sweat running down her face as she struggled with the ship.
She saw several large asteroids that floated through the system, and were subsequently used as the ore mining areas for the Facility, and an idea popped into her head. Opening her mind to the Force and tried to push the ship even faster into the sparse asteroid belt. A sudden presence was in her head. It was Bane. With a gasp Aayla could see through his eyes.
“Scream scum it will do you no good!” Narros yelled as he snapped bones and then set them lightning quick. Bane's gaze looked up and suddenly a gob of mucus smacked wetly into Narros's face.
Narros raised his fist and a sudden loud voice rang out. “Enough!”
Vision became a blur and suddenly the creature Veaok sat in her vision. He smiled and mentally Bane seemed to cringe in discomfort. Veaok laughed. “Your body and mind hold so much potential.” The Sith's eyes widened suddenly.
“You are in love!?” He laughed cruelly. “You always surprise me Atammar.” He leaned forward another wave of the Force bombarding Bane's bruised brain. Veaok sat with a large smile on his pale face. “Join me and I won't have her brutalized.” He motioned with his hand. “You know what I mean. Raping, torture, beatings.” He hissed. “Over and over again.” He smiled. “Unless you join me…”
Bane's mind was desperate.
Aayla was brought back to the present swerving around an asteroid just in time to not die. The radar showed one of the fighters smash into the space rock. This did not concern Aayla Secura in the slightest.
Bane was not just in jeopardy of death, that was acceptable to an extent. What was the most alarming priority was that he was in extreme danger of turning fully to the Dark Side. Aayla knew he would join in a heart beat if it meant she would be saved. She spun the ship again dodging death narrowly once more. Bane would become a fearsome Sith and would never be able to be saved again. Aayla growled and shoved the controls forward and the ship soared towards the open blast doors of the main hangar of the Facility.
As the skiff flew into the docking area of the mining facility and sound returned to her she hit the communications button. “Hadda get to The Mistress now!” If they did not hurry she was afraid she would lose Bane forever. Hadda ran down the ramp and from the cockpit she saw him wave and run sprinting to the docking bay that held TheMistress.
Tivia came into the cockpit her gloved hands smeared with oils and lubricants. She yanked them off and took a pilot seat. “What the hell did you call that back there!?” She yelled as Aayla shot out of the dock once more. Angry dock workers and traders all dove for cover as the skiff shot over their heads.
“Are the spices secure?” Aayla asked quickly as she kept piloting the ship.
“Yes, but-!”
Aayla waved away the yell. “Tivia we must hurry Bane is getting weaker by the hour.” Tivia growled and strapped herself in.
“You are so lucky you're pretty!”
The skiff barely dodged an incoming fighter as it rocketed out of the docking bay. They dodged the handful of fighters over and over. The two pilots inside were on wits end as they dodged asteroids and then would have to violently yank upward to dodge incoming fighters.
“You ladies need a little help?” Their radio crackled.
“Hadda you Gunthar fucking bastard get them off of us!” Tivia yelled as she pulled the controls to the side.
“So damn touchy with you all the time!” He griped. Aayla saw out the front of the cockpit three fighters explode and gutter out in the cold of space as The Mistress flew into view and led them towards their hyperspace jump point. The radio crackled again.
“You're welcome. You know, no need to thank me or anything.”
Tivia had already been at the Nav Computer and turned around. She looked tiredly at Aayla. “What a job…”
Aayla grabbed the light speed lever. And with one push the ship shot forward.
“Lets head to Tatooine.”
Jabba's palace two days later.
“Mighty Jabba I present your brand new space skiff.” Aayla said with a bow and showed a hologram image of the ship that was parked within Mos Eisley.
Jabba nodded. “I am pleased Bounty Hunter.” He wiped his shining hide. “What of my price, eh?”
Aayla nodded and Tivia stepped forward a data board in his hand and began to read off what lay in Jabba's Palace at that exact moment. Aayla watched the worm smile sickly. She was not fond of the Hutts. In the times of the recent Jedi Order they had been a constant annoyance. Tivia stopped her list and handed the board to a light skinned Twi'lek.
Aayla bowed once more. “Now if you would finish our business.” She certainly hoped the slug would not try to push more. Both she and Tivia were armed but they would surely die trying to escape the palace.
Jabba rubbed his rubbery hide. “Bounty Hunter Secura you have been timely and efficient.” He let out a wet laugh. “When you see Bane Atammar tell him that he now owes you his life and all debt is settled between us.” Aayla began to thank him but he raised one arm and spoke. “There's a small planet called Dathos Secundus in the Mid Rim that is where they are. (Note: The Mid Rim afore mentioned is a sector of The Galaxy) That is all I know.” The worm's grey-green tongue licked its bulbous mouth. “Now I have other business to attend to.”
Aayla bowed and she and Tivia left. They took a speeder back to Mos Eisley. Along the way Tivia spoke up.
“Do you love him Aayla?”
Aayla stared into the mighty sand dunes of Tatooine. “Who?'
Tivia snorted. “You know who I mean.”
Aayla sighed. “Yes.” It was the simple truth. Why else would she have risked her neck the way she had. They had nearly died a score of times just trying to get out of the Imperial Base and the chase back to the mining facility had nearly killed them all again as well. Which did not include going to Jabba the Hutt for information which may as well have counted as risking their lives.
Tivia nodded to herself. “I figured you did.” She laughed. “Get ready he is a real handful to deal with.” Aayla looked at her curiously. Tivia rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. “He has the bad habit of getting into trouble with people like Jabba or making a Rancor want to eat him by stumbling upon her nest, or freeing slaves on a planet and dragging all of us along for the ride.” She shrugged. “I'm just saying be prepared for anything.”
On board The Mistress en-route to Dathos Secundus.
Hadda leaned back. “And on to our next destination.”
Aayla ran the coordinates through the Nav Computer and sat back as well. Tivia was whistling from the kitchen and the hum of The Mistress filled her ears. She appeared calm but inwardly she was a wreck. She stretched as the computer searched for the best possible route to the planet. She heard the computer give the acceptable code and gripped the light speed lever once more.
They were moments away from finding Bane. And as the sky stretched she only hoped they were not too late.
