Hey guys, just went into spring break and I’m ready to write! Enjoy chapter dos.

         &nbs p;  From the control panel above, Robin and Starfire readied the obstacle course.

“Alright,” yelled Robin, “The obstacle course is all set up. Ready Merrick?” from the starting line bellow, Merrick gave Robin and Starfire a thumbs up. “Okay.... Start!” Merrick sprinted across the starting line. Immediately, three machine gun turrets disguised in the rocks rose up and began to fire. Merrick fired a large two large shots of fire and water together, which created a large smoke-screen. The turrets continued to fire into the smoke, until Merrick emerged from the smoke floating from a large gust of wind. From his palm he shot three shots of lightning which destroyed the turrets. With the turrets destroyed, Merrick wasted no time in advancing through the course. In record time, Merrick completed the course with no obstacle left unfinished. From the sidelines, Raven, Cyborg and BeastBoy applauded the performance. Merrick walked over and chuckled. “Thanks guys. That was tough!” “Good!” beamed Cyborg. “That means I haven’t lost my touch!” Robin jumped down from the control panel and walked toward the group. “That was pretty impressive Merrick, we would be happy to have you on our team.” Merrick smiled. “Really? That’s awesome! You guys really don’t mind?” BeastBoy jumped up. “No dude! We don’t mind!” “Yeah,” Raven added. “It’ll be... cool.” the conversation was interrupted by a yell from the control panel. “Robin,” Starfire called, “please assist me in the deactivation of the obstacle course!” Robin looked back at the group, blushed and ran over to the panel. “I knew it!” whispered Merrick. BeastBoy raised and eyebrow. “Knew what?” “That Robin has the hots for Starfire! They have to be going out, right?” Raven sighed. “Nope, they’re still to afraid to tell each other how they feel.” Merrick got another exasperated look on his face. “Oh, we’ll have to change that.” Cyborg started to grin. “I like the way this guy thinks!” “Come on,” said Merrick we need to plan.” Merrick, Raven and Cyborg ran off towards the tower. BeastBoy stood on the beach, confused. “Wait... Robin and Star like each other?!”

          ;   Meanwhile on the control panel, Robin and Starfire continue to deactivate the obstacle course. “So,” Started Robin. “Merrick seems nice.” Starfire nodded in agreement. “Oh yes, he is quite friendly.” Starfire thought for a moment before continuing. “Robin, what was it that you wanted to ask of me earlier?” Robin blushed again. “Oh, that... Uh, I-I guess I wanted to ask, I mean we’ve always been such good friends...” Starfire’s eyes lit up. “Yes?” Robin gulped. “I g-guess I wanted to ask you... you know if you weren’t doing anything...” Robin was again disrupted by BeastBoy Running up to the control panel. “Guys lets go!” whined BeastBoy. We haven’t had breakfast yet and I’m starving!” BeastBoy ran off towards the door. Starfire was the first to snap her attention back to their conversation. “What were you asking me, Robin?” Robin sighed. “Oh, it was nothing important... lets go inside.” with that Robin finished shutting off the obstacle course and headed towards the tower. Starfire let out a deep sigh before floating after him.

          &nb sp; In no time at all, the titans were gathered around the table eating their breakfasts. Wanting to start a conversation, Robin was the first to speak up. “So Merrick, where do you come from?” Merrick thought for a moment. “Lots of places. I mean I used to live just in town. Given my appearance, you can probably tell that I didn’t live at the Ritz.” the Titans nodded in agreement. “Then it’s a good thing you came here!” exclaimed BeastBoy. Merrick smiled. “Yeah, I guess it is.” while the others talked to Merrick. Starfire sat thinking to herself. She had been sure that Robin was going to tell her something important; something she had wanted to hear for a long time... Starfire snapped back to reality when Cyborg abruptly stood up from the table. “Alright, Merrick.” Declared Cyborg. “It’s time to crush you in a little VIDEO GAME TOURNAMENT!!!” Merrick gave Cyborg a confident smirk. “Sure, you’re on.” with that, Merrick, Cyborg and BeastBoy ran over to the T.V. and began to play. Raven, who was sitting next to Robin, finally caught on to what the three boys were really doing. “Uh, I’m gonna go watch.” mumbled Raven before floating towards the T.V. when she got there, the three were already playing the game. “So,” started BeastBoy. “What’s the plan?” After letting out a growl of frustration from the video game, Merrick answered. “I think we should try to build a good atmosphere somewhere so they can get with the bonding.” Raven smiled. “I can make the roof more romantic with some candles and incense.” “And I can play some Barry White!” added Cyborg. After another growl, Merrick nodded. “Great, now all we need is for those two to ask each other out!”

         &n bsp;  After his brutal beating in video games, Merrick went and moped around the living room while Cyborg and BeastBoy continued to play. Raven was again engrossed in her book. Robin gathered the dishes from the table and began to wash them in the sink. While he was washing, Starfire floated up behind him. “Robin, may I assist you in the cleaning of dishes?” Robin turned to face the beautiful girl. “Sure Starfire, here’s a sponge.” Starfire gave a short smile and went to work. While the two worked, Robin thought to himself. “Come on, Robin! You can do this, just turn to her and ask her to a movie or something!” Starfire was thinking along these lines as well. “Oh, I should complement Robin on his hair, say something funny, anything!” the two were so engrossed in their thoughts that they did not notice they were both going for the same plate. Instead of grabbing the plate, the two titans grabbed each others hand. In unison Robin and Starfire looked down at their hands, then looked up and turned a deep shade of red. “Oh, it’s okay Starfire, let me get that.” Robin reluctantly pulled away from Starfire’s hand and put the dish away. The two titans turned to face each other. Robin gave Starfire a weak smile. “Starfire, could I ask you something?” Starfire perked up. “Of course, friend Robin.” Robin looked around the room and continued. “I was just wondering, if you weren’t doing anything tonight... If you would, maybe, want to go see a movie with me?” Starfire used every fiber of her being not to shout with happiness. “That would be glorious, Robin.” Robin blushed an even deeper shade of red, then smiled. “Great, so we’ll head out at 8?” Starfire nodded in agreement. “Very well Robin, I must go Prepare!” Starfire flew out of the kitchen and into her room. Despite the sound-proof rooms in titans tower, everyone could hear the scream of joy coming from Starfire’s room. Merrick sighed to himself. “Guess we’d better go prepare too.” with that, Merrick, Raven, Cyborg and BeastBoy left the living room and went to prepare for the date.
