Teen Titans Fan Fiction ❯ Normal Like You ❯ Impending Doom Noise ( Chapter 7 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Two important things happened in this story. One is good, one is bad. Let's start with the bad, shall we:
There are no more review responses allowed.
It sucks like pie. I believe there is a petition going around to allow said review responses. I might still have it in inbox, so I might send it to people who review this story. If you ever get the petition, YOU MUST SIGN OR MY MINIONS SHALL FEAST UPON YOUR CANDY!!!
My good thing, though probably unimportant to you people, is that Golden-sama (one of the best fanfiction writers I've read) has reviewed this story. If he is reading this now, he must update Walls of Jericho. If you haven't read his work, you suck.
Now I can't start the story.
Normal Like You
Chapter 7- Impending Doom Noise
Raven hadn't even made it to first period when Roy pounced on her.
“Yo, Roth,” he said.
Silence.
“See you didn't make our date…”
`God I hate Mondays.'
“So I thought I'd give you another chance.”
Silence.
“Seeing how Dick's party is this weekend, I thought you might go with me. Of course you'll-”
“Listen, Roy,” she interrupted harshly, “I thought not saying anything would get you to leave me alone, but now I know it only makes you talk more. Please go away before I hurt you.”
“So see you Saturday?”
She kept walking.
She ran straight into Kori.
Kori was very excited about something.
“What is it Kori?” she sighed.
“New friend Dick has invited me to his party!”
It was official.
God truly hated her.
And that cold voice behind her…
…The one that filled her with impending doom…
“See ya Saturday, Roth.”

“Kori, I will not go to the party with you.”
“Why not?”
“Because I don't do parties.”
“But you must participate in the dancing and sharing of food and enjoyment and…”
Raven rested her head on the table, shooting a weak glare at Vic and Gar. “Don't ask.”
So of course they asked.
And Kori told them.
“I was speaking with new friend Dick and he told me of his party he was having this Saturday and invited me so I said yes and ran off to tell friend Raven and she was speaking with someone but I told her and she said she will not go with me so now I must find a way to make her go.”
Even Raven looked up in surprise at Kori's lung capacity.
“I do not wish to go alone,” Kori said sheepishly.
“We're all go,” Gar said as if that put it to rest.
“No,” Raven said simply, “I will not go.”
“Aww, come on, Rae,” Gar said, “Would you rather sit home all night or come hang out with us.”
If Raven weren't so stubborn, she would've said yes at that. Instead, she glared at him with a defiant look. “I-will-not-go.”
“Yes you will.”
“No I won't.”
“Yes you will.”
“No I won't.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
No.”
Kori gave her a pleading look.
“Fine,” she sighed in defeat, “I'll go.”
“Oh thank you, friend Raven!” Kori snatched her up into a bone-crunching hug.
“I hate you,” she muttered to Gar as she was let loose.
“I know,” he answered with a smug grin.
But inside, a part of her was smiling.

Raven realized now she had made a mistake. Well, she'd made many mistakes, but the latest one had been her biggest.
Kori had followed her back to the library. She had apparently wanted more advice on Dick from Jinx, and Raven was not one to interfere with such a process. But when Kori had told Jinx about the party, and she wish she had.
“A party, eh,” Jinx thought carefully for a moment. “That means new clothes. To the mall!”
And Raven had been dragged along.
“I hate malls,” she muttered unnecessarily.
“You hate everything,” Jinx answered, “Here.” She handed Raven a neon-pink shirt with SPREAD PINK NOT WAR and a peace sign in black ink.
Raven gave her a half-hearted glare. “No.”
“Do we need new clothes?” Kori asked.
“No,” Jinx said, “But life isn't about needing. It's about wanting.”
“And I don't want to be here.” Raven snapped.
“Nobody gets what they wants. But they get something close.”
“What's close to leaving?”
Jinx held up a shirt. “Getting new clothes.”
“If I weren't in a public place, I would hurt you.”
“I'd just hurt you right back.”
It was gonna be a long day.
Author Notes:
A few more chapters and the party shall come. Yay for me!
I would like to reiterate that this is a BB/Rae story. There is some Rob/Star and has some hints to Cy/Jinx and Cy/Bee.
K. That's done.
…Um, no more to say.
