Chapter 1 - Nightmares of the Past

(Taro) I didn't expect this to get so much attention as it did, it is actually hard to think of a good plot as it is but if you involve the Joker and Two-Face then you are bound to get a good thing going.

 

 

There will be an appearance by Robin's former mentor in due time but other than that your going to find out for yourself how the story progresses.

 

 

(Candlemon) Shall we start the music Taro?

A veil of darkness that surrounds our hero as he is subject to dreams and images of his past as one by one, Robin remembers his childhood. From the death of his family towards his time with Bruce fighting villians such as the Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, one at a time he remembers their fights and how some of them dealt into Robin's psychological damage.

 

 

Then after a while Robin got sick and left Jump City in order to go solo, If he hadn't done it then he wouldn't of met Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven and thus the Titans wouldn't of been formed. Together they faced villians of their own and the worse of these villians was Slade, he wanted most of all to turn Robin into his own apprentice for crime he succeeded but after a while Robin turned on him and saved his friends.

 

 

These images were now blared together like a mad slideshow, forcing Robin to squirm in his bed in real life and cringe at how fast they were coming at him now.

 

 

"Robin... you are pathetic" The voice of Slade taunted him which made him growl as he vowed personally to put him away. But he is joined by a second image... another villian he faced when he was a child.

 

 

"So the bird boy has finally grown up, pity I'd never thought of you as a wimpy little boy but now I see you as a pathetic little man saddens me." Two-Face flipped his coin up and down, up and down like he invented some sort of psychological trick of his own.

 

 

But the worse was when the disturbed grinning face of the Joker, the worse of all villians and was responsible for most of Robin's nightmares as a child.

 

 

"Well lookie here, Batfool's little sidekick is all grown up... shame he ain't the same as he used to be what a pity." His insane laughter was joined by Two-Face's and Slade's as they tormented him over and over and over .

 

 

HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!

"NO I AM NOT!!!" Robin finally got up as he sat up quickly before realising that he was back in his room within Titan Tower as he was panting from another of his nightmares as he groaned before resting back on his pillow to look at the dark ceiling of his room.

 

 

"The same dream over and over, can't seem to get a decent night's sleep anymore." He got up and looked out to the skyline of the city, it's shadowry look gave some comfort as he spent time in the darkness as he looked at the time that his clock told him and it was 4:05am.

 

 

"Ugh... not again, there's no way I am able to get back to sleep now." He rubbed his eyes, groaning slightly before Dick Grayson decided to do at least some work. He knew that the villians were out there waiting to strike at any time but even bad guys need sleep which is something that Robin would like to have right now.

 

 

"Some coffee should do me some good..." Robin then got up, stretched about and hearing a few bones click into place before picking up his mask and putting it on before he left his room and walked down to the hallway heading for the kitchen, watching him from the shadows with a sad sigh.

 

 

Starfire was watching him as she has done for the last few nights as he had the nightmares, at first she wanted to go in there and help him but she was feeling nervous... to Star it was an unknown feeling of nervousness and her heart would beat faster as wished she would comfort him in his darkest hour.

 

 

She wasn't sure how to do it through cause after all she is Tamarian but after all the times that Robin came through for her, becoming her first friend on Earth, introducing her to Raven, Beast Boy, Terra, Cyborg and the Titan's Guild it was time for her to return the favor.

 

 

Oh Robin... I wish to know what's wrong with you, so I can help make you feel better. She sadly thought to herself as she returned to her room as the door slid itself shut.

In a dark building somewhere in Jump City, we find our villains shacked up in their headquarters as it was refurbished from an old warehouse and now looks like Joker's old headquarters in Gotham. Except for the minions who were left behind or locked up in Gotham jail and Joker's pet hyenas that were put down.

 

 

But for Two-Face, he missed life back at Gotham although he knew he wouldn't of joined Joker if it wasn't for the toss of his coin landing on the bad side which made his decision up quite easily.

 

 

Why did we decide to rely on the coin to make our decision to join this fruitcake? He thought as he saw the 'happy couple' arguing over a trivial matter which the criminal didn't much care for. Instead he pondered as to why the Joker was so convincing at making him come along.

 

 

We don't have any super-powers nor are we strong in combat; we only have expertise at weaponry so that might be why Joker asked me to join him in these new surroundings. But I also have my reasons in coming here, so we can personally deal with Robin.

 

 

The Joker just mainly grinned as he was done arguing with Harley as she stormed off to cook dinner, but he knew that he would have to make some sort of impact and also to get rid of the villains currently in this city. So he approached Two-Face who was thinking to himself at the time and didn't notice him approaching.

 

 

"Penny for your thoughts?"

 

 

"Leave me alone Jack."

 

 

"Harvey... I'm hurt, I was only checking to see you was alright. No need to bite my head off is there?"

 

 

"Of course not, you have Harley to do that." Joker answered with a scowl and a frown on his face from the last argument that he had with the woman, seriously she was starting to become a real pain in the ass and he didn't like it.

 

 

"Oh how funny."

 

 

"I know we're here in Jump to destroy the boy wonder and his team of misfits, but we haven't even thought of a plan on how we get Robin's attention."

 

 

"It's quite simple dear Harvey, once we hire ourselves a good bunch of henchmen... we'll target minor gangs and work our way up to big jobs... we'll have to take out the rest of these so called villains and then take out the Titans."

 

 

"Is it like that then Jack?"

 

 

"Why yes Harvey, soon we'll be the toast of the town especially when it'll be on fire HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!" Joker laughed at his joke whilst Two-Face went along and laughed as well.

 

 

Jump City would never be the same.

(Taro) All done and I have hinted on the first obvious pairing that this fic will see and that is the most common out of all Teen Titans cause it is hinted at nearly most of the episodes and it is the most obvious.

 

I'll shall leave you to read this and then give me some feedback which will be great.
