Chapter 2

Another Day with the Titans

(Taro) I'm back again and with it comes the second chapter of the Teen Titans: Joker's Wild series Now moving on with the next chapter we will see a chapter featuring on what the show is best for, the action.

 

 

Yes there will be fight scenes in this one but also I will be hinting on at another pairing as well to the story itself so you'll be in for a treat of some sorts.

 

 

So I hope that it'll be up to the standard that a Teen Titans writer can accept and if not then maybe it'll perhaps be something new to look at which in that case it's great ^_^.

 

 

Ok we are past the explaining shit and now it's time to begin the story!

 

 

*Theme song kicks in*

Events of the morning faded away just as we change our scenario towards another place as it was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Jump City's central park cause after all anyone didn't want to stay in and be lazy now wouldn't they and sides you can be lazy in the middle of the day.

 

 

So with all this involved no-one knew that something sinister was watching them waiting it's time until it pounced and once again caused chaos like it did before... the shadows emerged just as Cardiac spotted a couple of young kids that were far away from their parent's protection and thought it needed a hostage.

 

 

So one of it's tentacles was sneaking along the ground with the intention of capturing at least one of them so he can lure out his recent enemy the Titans out so he can finish them off once for all, but that wasn't the case... just as it was about to strike and complete it's mission.

 

 

If it hadn't been for a few freeze discs thrown at the tentacle freezing it on the spot and revealing it's attention to the kids who then ran away in fear just as Cardiac turned it's attention to the person interrupting it's plan but the Teen Titans Alpha were waiting... all six of them slightly grown up and more stronger.

 

 

"When will you ever learn to chill out Cardiac..."

 

 

"You might want to have a lie down in your condition I don't think you want to have kids in there..." The groans from the other Titans was loud enough and then Beastboy suffered one of his girlfriend's evil looks telling him to shut up, ever since they started to go steady ever since they freed her from her stone prison.

 

 

"Sorry Babe..."

 

 

"Now ain't the time for y'all to have a lover's tiff!" Cyborg was angry slightly but Cardiac took advantage of the momentary distraction but nothing escaped the eye of Robin, despite not enough sleep his will was as sharp from the numerous battles that he led his team/friends through and it once again proved handy.

 

 

"Titans Move!"

 

 

They all moved just in time as Starfire grabbed Robin and flew high whilst Raven and Terra got out of the way as well with Beast Boy transforming into his Pterydactol form and grabbing Cyborg before he got hit and then they began to attack the villian.

 

 

"Pterydactol Assault!" Cyborg was let go as he charged up a shot from his Sonic Cannon before firing it at Cardiac who didn't flinch much but a swift swoop from Beastboy as he unleashed a super flurry of talon and beak as he forced the bio-machine back.

 

 

This gave Raven the perfect chance to focus her energies and saying the three words that triggers her mystical kinetic powers ready to be used on the villian.

 

 

"Azarath... Metrion... Zynthos!" Raven's eyes glowed black as her powers surrounded Cardiac but this time the machine learnt a few new techniques since their last battle and it was more than willing to use it. So breaking free, he then drew back one of his tentacles which began to charge up with electricity.

 

"Raven look out!" Terra shouted as she swooped in and practically slammed into the side with her giant rock also her mode of transportation as the electric blast was diverted and instead hit a tree which promptly disintegrated.

 

 

"Someone's been learning some new tricks." Beastboy flew down and morphed back into his old self and stood next to Terra ready.

 

 

"I say we show this reject one of our moves!"

 

 

"I agree with you there babe." Flexing his fingers he began to run towards Cardiac with athletic speed as he dodged each one of the machine's electric attacks as he transformed into a cheetah to speed up and as close as he get and in a blink of an eye he became a bison and rammed right into Cardiac damaging it before tossing the machine into the air with a mighty swing of his gorilla form... before returning to normal.

 

 

"Terra now!"

 

 

"Gotcha babe." Her eyes then turned yellow and with her powers, a giant rock was then lifted from the ground before it cracked into thousands of sharp spikes that demolished Cardiac into pieces and basically turn him into one giant pin cushion before he fell to the ground and was defeated... horribly.

 

 

"That was a bit overkill wasn't it." Robin blinked but adjusted his cape anyway.

 

 

"It got the job done, correct?" Starfire flew in next to him, everytime he sees her... Robin would get this nervous feeling in his chest and he almost stutter but he assumed the fearless leader role that he has mastered.

 

 

"Of course... either way we're done here, I say we head back to base." Cyborg stretched and then hearing his stomach groan made him hungry and he had the best way to solve that.

 

 

"How about we get a pizza on the way back."

 

 

"Vegetarian for me if your buying Cyborg..."

 

 

"I haven't forgotten BB."

 

 

So Robin took the R-Cycle and the rest went inside the T-Car and they drove back to Titans Tower, not really noticing the shadow entering the area... it had a grin on it's face as he saw the whole battle.

 

 

"Excellent... the boy's still got it."

Later on as day turned into night, they just came back from an attempted robbery which was easily wrapped up within 10 minutes but Robin showed signs of fatigue and insisted that he turned in early, however Beastboy and Terra decided to go on a date and forced Cyborg to come along with them as their chaperone.

 

 

Whilst this was happening Raven retired to her room to catch up on her reading but Starfire was worried about Robin's condition so she decided to consort the advice of the only person that can help her... Raven.

 

 

She arrived outside of her room which no-one in the team disturbs her but Star needed her help into seeing what was wrong with him so she knocked on the door.

 

 

"Who is it?" An emotionless voice said as Star smiled slightly.

 

 

"It's me Raven... I need to talk to you about something."

 

 

"Come in." Her door opened as Star entered the room, all around she spotted the various books and mystical items that Raven collected in her years plus a member of the Titans and she was in the middle of it all... in a meditating position, her eyes closed as she channeled her powers and emotions with the three words that she uses.

 

 

She opened her eyes and landed calmly with her powers, then looked at her friend who in turn sat down in the meditating position. They may be opposites but that was the basis of their friendship... they understood each other and on a few occasions teamed up to defeat the Puppet King for instance.

 

 

"So what's up then Star, what is so important that you needed me for?"

 

 

"I'm concerned about Robin..." She sighed sadly and looked down, Raven was actually surprised but she didn't show it because she wasn't good with emotions even though she defeated her father Trigon.

 

 

"He seems normal to me Starfire, maybe he's having an off day... we all have them."

 

 

"But I saw him waking up at four in the morning... for the last two weeks, something is most certainly wrong with him and... I feel powerless to help him." Starfire said as tears emerge from her eyes, Raven was actually surprised that Star was this much upset with what Robin's supposed condition.

 

 

Almost everybody knew how much Robin and Starfire are close friends but this is the first time I've heard Starfire feeling powerless and helpless to help him... and yet I'm surprised as well cause Starfire never would say that, from the times Robin was in peril she would always strive to make sure that everything was back to normal. She thought pondering on what Starfire said but it wasn't long before the Tamarian was trying to get her attention and it was embarrasing that she wasn't paying attention.

 

 

"Raven?"

 

 

"I'm sorry Star, what were you saying?"

 

 

"I was hoping that you might use your powers to probe into Robin's mind to see what he's been suffering from?"

 

 

"Uh...Starfire, going into other people's dreams is usually invading their privacy... you don't even know if he's suffering from them or not but I can see nothing is going to change your mind so what can I do then to help." Seeing Starfire smile, the alien then began to tell her of her plan.

(Taro) Well considering the fact that my computer crashed and I lost all my data, I was able to update this... An interesting twist in the story so far, I probably mention that the fact that this fiction is rated NC-17.

 

 

There will be a lemon coming up in the future and I'm attempting to intrigate this within the plot so it'll make sense one I'm finished... most probably know that I'm doing alright with lemons so I intend to make my mark in this category.

 

 

I'll shall leave you to read this and then give me some feedback which will be great.
