THE TEEN TITANS!
Chapter 13-The confrontation
Beast Boy noticed Raven looked a little pale…well, paler than usual. “Raven, are you alright?” Asked Beast Boy, sitting next to her.
“I don’t know. I feel so warm and at the same time, so cold. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” Said Raven.
“Maybe it’s because of everything that’s happened today. It’s been a bad couple of months.”
“Beast Boy, I need to know something.”
“What is it?”
“What will you do, when I turn evil?”
“You won’t turn evil Raven. You’re too pure and innocent to turn evil.”
“Please Beast Boy, just answer me.”
“…IF you turned evil, and that’s a big IF, I would spend every waking moment trying to turn you good, to bring you back to the Titans…back to me.”
Raven’s eyes brimmed with tears at Beast Boys words and wrapped her arms around his neck. “I love you Raven, and nothing will ever take you away from me.” He said.
~~~Inside the fortress control centre.~~~
Robin ran through the rooms, watching for an movement. Then, Slade dashed out in front of him and ran towards the end of the hall. Slade ran through the open doors with Robin in hot pursuit. As he entered the room, he realised it was the main control centre for the entire hive facility. “Slade! Come out and fight me!” Yelled Robin.
There was no sound but Robin walked cautiously through the facility. “Why do you continue to fight me Robin?” Slade yelled out.
Robin tried to pinpoint the voice. “All I ever wanted was someone who could take over after I die. Someone who would continue my work. You were the perfect candidate Robin, all you needed was a little training and re-education. All I wanted was your loyalty.” He continued.
“I was never loyal to you Slade! You took me away from my friends, tried to make me into a carbon copy of you. You made me do things I never wanted to do!” Yelled Robin.
“I was doing you a favour. Being a hero is a fool’s move Robin. What if you failed to save building full of people, or stopped a bridge from falling. Do you think the people will forgive you? No! They would scorn you forever!”
“There’s more to being a good-guy than glory Slade. There’s the feeling of knowing that what you’re doing is right. That all the villains you defeat will never hurt another person.”
Robin walked to the main controls, but as he turned, Slade ran at him and kicked him in the stomach. Robin quickly got back to his feet, but Slade was already gone. “Red X was my clone. Why did you make a clone of me Slade? Was it so you’d always have me, no matter what?” Asked Robin.
“That’s exactly why Robin. A piece of you that would always be mine. The day I created Red X, I was determined to make him into the ultimate fighting machine. But for him to be truly mine, he had to have his own identity.” Said Slade.
“And because he had my mind and memories, he knew how to get into the tower and steal the Red X suit.”
“Precisely.”
“But why not just come after me? Why go through all that trouble to kidnap Starfire? She didn’t deserve all this.”
“Robin, in those weeks that I had you as my apprentice, I learned all I needed to know about you. Including the love that was growing between you and the tameranian princess. I knew that the key to get you was through her. And I have hurt you Robin, by letting Red X have his way with her.”
Robin began chuckling. “I fail to see the humour in this Robin.” Said Slade.
“You really are a fool Slade.” Said Robin.
“Oh…and why is that?”
“You really think that Red X did that to Starfire.”
“It was an order, and I made it so he couldn’t disobey me.”
“Then why is it that Red X had a huge gash on his arm, and the only blood on Starfire was from where Blackfire beat her up. Starfire already told me Slade, Red X didn’t do anything to her. He only made it look like he did.”
“WHAT!”
“You made him from my DNA Slade, you had to know that he would turn on you like I did. From what he told me, he never wanted to become apart of your team in the first place.”
“AGRH!”
Slade dashed out from his hiding place and ran at Robin. He tried to punch him in the face but Robin dodged him and kicked him in the back. Slade tried to kick Robin’s feet from under him but Robin jumped up and kicked Slade in the face with both feet. They took the fight on to the balcony, where Robin quickly gained the upper hand. As Slade tried to punch him again, but Robin grabbed his arm and flipped him over his shoulder. Slade fell in the balcony rail. “It’s over Slade, it all ends now.” Said Robin.
But then, to Robin’s horror, the S on Slade’s mask started glowing and Slade began laughing. “Oh Robin, you are more of a fool than I thought.” Said Slade.
“What do you mean?” Asked Robin.
“I came back for 3 reasons. 2 of those reason were revenge against Terra and you. I succeeded in revenge against Terra and I almost succeeded against you. But there is one more Titan I came for.”
“What? No!”
“Yes, I’ve come for Raven!”
~~~Back in the throne room.~~~
Raven suddenly screamed in pain and fell to the floor. She grabbed her arms and stomach. “Raven!” Cried Beast Boy.
He ran to her, but as he reached her, he saw her red symbols burn through her clothes and her hair grow longer. “Beast Boy! It hurts! Make it stop!” Cried Raven.
Cyborg and Starfire ran over. “Starfire! Go! Help Robin! Make him stop Slade before he does anything to Raven!” Started Beast Boy.
“But what can he…” Started Starfire.
“JUST GO!”
Starfire ran though to the control room to find Robin. “Beast Boy. I’m sorry. I’m not strong enough.” Cried Raven.
“No Raven, don’t talk like that! You’re gonna be fine, it’s gonna be…”
But could finish as Raven turned into her black raven bird and flew through the walls. “RAVEN!!!”
~~~Back on the Balcony.~~~
“If you hurt Raven, you’ll answer to me and every Titans in Jump City.” Hissed Robin.
“Is that supposed to be a threat Robin?” Laughed Slade.
“Raven will never join you. Destiny or no destiny, she’s not evil!”
“Oh how wrong you are Robin. Whether or not she comes willingly, Raven will fulfil the destiny that was seen at her birth and she will destroy this world!”
“Robin!”
Robin spun around as he saw Starfire run up to him. “Starfire, what are you…”
But before Robin you finish, something slammed into the back of him. Robin fell into Starfire and they landed in the floor near the door. They turned to see Slade get up, and Raven hover in next to him. “Raven! No!” Cried Robin.
He and Starfire ran back on to the balcony as Raven and Slade began to fly away. Beast Boy soon joined them on the balcony. “RAVEN! PLEASE! COME BACK!” He cried.
Raven turned back to face him. Beast Boy tried to turn into something but Slade hurled a fireball at him. It circled around Robin, Starfire and Beast Boy, stopping them from going after them. Then Slade grabbed Raven’s arm. “Another day Titans, another day.” He called.
Then he and Raven disappeared in a flash of fire. The fire died away and Beast Boy turned into and eagle and flew to where Raven was. Starfire and Robin held each other as they watched a distraught Beast Boy search for Raven. The heart-broken shape shifter landed back on the balcony, on his knees and in tears. “No, not again. I can’t lose some else I love.” He whispered brokenly as he collapsed from pure exhaustion.

What do you guys think of this new version. The old one wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be, so after I watched a new episode of Teen Titans, it gave me some new ideas. So I’ve edited chapters 1, 2, 7, 8 and 13 to fit this new storyline. I hope you all enjoy the new versions. Remember, Read & Review.
