Chapter 1 It begins

Yumi Francois look at the damaged Blue Earth Craft and sighed, " You would think that being a Teknoman would mean I wouldn't have to work on a ship anymore or at least have some help." "Now lass," Mac said coming up behind her, "The Blue Earth Craft is very important and has a name to live up to. And I'll have you know that Blade himself help me on more than a few jobs." "I know I know but was stranded on space dock with just you and me here to fix the ship." Yumi stated flatly. Mac simply asked in his Scottish voice, "Well Yumi would you rather be with the others trying to convince the army not to kill DeadEnd?" "No", Yumi replied solemnly. It had been nearly a week since they had engaged the Venemoids and found DeadEnd alive, unfortunately the Blue Earth Craft had been damaged by a spidercrabe on a kamikaze run. DeadEnd had sworn his loyalty to the Space Knights and had asked Blade for forgiveness. Now Blade and the Chief were getting him a pardon in exchange for his help but the Military seemed to be fighting them the whole way. All in all Yumi would rather face fixing a fleet of Blue Earths then face all those lawyers.

Ringo Richards had been sitting in his cell for what seemed like forever. The only times he had left had been during is 13 escapes or attempted escapes. He knew he was in one of the middle sections of the Space Ring but all the ships were locked up tight and this part of the Ring was supposed to unman. His latest plan called for a fork. Mike Forkner had been guarding Richards for two years and was sick of his jokes. No one who had ever guarded this man had been able to decide if he was the one being punished or if they were. Forkner was please to be braking in this new guard. "So what did you say your name was?" He asked the new guard. "My name is Cain." He responded. "Anyway," Forkner continued, "you'll have to get used to Ringo's jokes." "What's he in here for anyway?" Cain asked. "He was some big shot Space Knight until he messed up during Black September." Forkner answered. "He's tried to escape 11 or 12 times." Forkner continued until he was interrupted by a voice behind a huge steel door saying, "I'll have you know it was 13 time ya jerk, and as I recall I kicked your butt two of those times." "Yea right Ringo then while are you still in there?" Forkner countered. "Oh I don't know the food's for free and I get to tell all my jokes to dickheads like you who spend the next night trying to figure out what they meant." "Or is it because it would take a Teknoman to bust out of this place." Forkner yelled and was about to add the worst words he knew when Cain said, "I'm glad you agree," and with that he slammed his foot into Forkner's face.

Ringo heard the sound of a man hitting the ground and knew Forkner was out cold. He was considering his next move when the door open and he saw the face of an old friend. "Blade is that you?" He asked with so much hope in his voice. But the answer would shatter that hope in an instance as the realized his death was at hand. "Not quite." Cain answered. His next words were even more surprising to Ringo than when he told about the birds and bees. "Are you coming or is the food to good here?" Cain asked. "What do you want Saber and aren't you dead?" Ringo yelled to his rescuer. "I'm here to save your life why and how is my business. Now I have a ship ready to go to the Space Knight base," he said all this flatly and throws Ringo the guard's gun, which he quickly found, was pointed towards him. "What's to keep me from shooting you right here and right now?' Ringo asked coldly. Cain sighed, "Ringo," he began in an exasperated voice, "if I wanted you dead I would have left you here. If it makes you feel better think of it like this if I take you to the Space Knights there is less likely of a chance that Blade will kill me. Also the ship I have will work only for me and finally look into my eyes." Ringo did just that he looked into Cain's eyes and did not see the blood red eyes of a Teknoman but the eyes he'd seen in one other man his best friend Blade. "Okay lets go but you first," he said to Cain. As the two ran down the dull gray hall the alarms began to go off. "Stop!" The guards shouted as they ran towards the hanger. "Yea that's going to happen." Ringo yelled back as turned around and shot the female guard in the arm. "Ya!" She cried as the beam of light went through her burning the wound closed. She fell upon the floor. "Okay that's was too easy last time I was here they sent a teknosuit after me. What going on here Saber?" Ringo asked. Saber simply responded, "do you really want to know?" Ringo sighed, "I guess not."

Saber had hope for a quick escape now he saw that it was not going to happen. He had sent the last 15 spidercrabes hidden on in status on Earth to buy him and Ringo time and to avoid the Teknosuits that Ringo had mention, but his plan had worked too well. The Teknosuits would just shoot the shuttle out of space now. There was only one way now. "Ringo head for the ship!" Cain yelled as stop in mid run. "What are you crazy and you said the ship would only work for you." Ringo responded. "I lied," he said calmly. He simply said, "You don't want to be here for what I'm about to do. The ship is preprogrammed to take you to the base. For what it's worth Ringo I'm sorry." With that Cain Carter focus and brought forth his ruby Teknocrystal. He simply whispered, "Teknopower.' With that word Cain Carter was transformed into Teknoman Saber. Saber busted out of the ring and flew to where the Teknosuits were battling the Spidercrabes. He quickly order the Spidercrabes to stop fighting and then began his own assault as the shuttle left for the earth. Saber drew the fire and soon became the primary target.

Ness Carter was tired of these politicians and military fools. He had made the same statements five times and was sick of it. When will these fools learn. We need DeadEnd and he needs a second chance he thought to himself. While he could try to keep his thoughts private he knew it was useless for their was one person in this room who knew exactly what he was thinking she knew his ever thought. He just wished all his thoughts could be of her. Star Summers was just as tired as Ness the trial was becoming mundane. The armed forces knew it was fighting a lost cause DeadEnd had been pardon by the head of the United Earth Government President Jamison. The former commander of the Space Knights was now serving his second turn of office had help the Space Knights even after his change in jobs. Finally have enough Star stood up and said, "Your honor the military can try all they want to but the pardon has been signed and there is nothing they can do about." "You are right." Judge Thatcher stated. "Objection, your honor." General Siris bellowed. "Overruled, now this trial is at an end the pardon can not be challenged. Good day." The judge stated and then left. Finally when they were at last alone Star and Ness gave each other a passionate kiss. They had so little time together each force to live without the other and never was the question ask of how long it could last because they both so feared the loss of the other. "So back to work?" Star asked. Ness looked into her eyes and sighed, "Yes we have to get the Blue Earth Craft back online and set up DeadEnd in the base, but," he said drawing her close to him, "we have a few hours to our selves and I know a small dinner a few blocks from here." "Let's go," she said in tone that had not been heard in her voice ever since she had become commander of the Space Knights. They both began to walk out when the alarms started. Star reached for her communicator when she looked at Ness's forehead and saw the out line of his crystal. "Ness what is it?" She asked fearing the answer. Ness did not answer in truth he had not really hear it. He simply started to run to the nearest airlock. It can't be ,he thought, I kill you ten years ago how can you be alive?

Saber had done his best to only hurt the men and women in the Teknosuit but this last one was getting on his last never he was ready to try and damage the gun when a voice form behind him said, "Give it up pal.' Saber saw Teknoman Summer. "Leave now boy and you will live to see your self in the mirror tomorrow." Saber returned. "You must be joking.," the young voice of Teknoman Hiver, "We have you out numbered four to one." Saber just stood there and look over each of his adversaries the he coldly stated, "I see four children who think that they are ready for the big league. Now my business is not with you and if you want to get through this unhurt you will let me leave in peace." Natasha Teknoman Vexor upon hearing his voice screamed, "I know you, you murderer!" She launched herself at Saber her arm blade pointed at his heart. "Fool." Saber muttered as simply moved to the left grabbed her arm and throw her onto the Space Ring. Summer flew at Saber his curved blade poised for a strike that would never be as Saber moved to the right and used the flat end of his lance to send Summer out of control into one the nonfunctional Teknosuits. Summer than realized that all the suits still had life-support and that only the weapons and engines were trashed. "Yumi," he called to Hiver, "I need your help getting all these people inside. Let Natasha and Dead handle this guy." "Right David," Yumi replied giving Summer the thumbs up. DeadEnd watched as this Teknoman easily knocked Summer and Vexor out his and smiled this man was overconfident and had already lost because of this. But what Dead could not figure out was why was Natasha losing her cool to this one man. What does she known that I don't?
