Christmas. It's coming soon. A sad day…a very sad day…
“You're almost late, Jin.” A schoolmate of mine, Taka Eumatsu, said while patting my shoulder.
I checked my wristwatch. It's already seven-thirty. Before quarter to eight, I should be in my class for the silence period. Not even bothering to go to my locker, I smugly followed Taka from behind, watching his frizzy blond-dyed hair bounce in midair.
Somehow, I noticed that Taka was trying to stir up a conversation. He abruptly stopped walking and waited for me to level with him.
He pushed his slick dyed hair back and stared at me like a nutcase. Then he laughed.
I ignored him and followed my pace, advancing from our walk earlier. Still, he managed to catch up to me and say, “Do you know the news?”
“What news?” I said, halting. Taka stared at me again, only that he looked like a drunkard this time.
Silence lingered through us for a moment, until he made a move to whisper in my ear. “Look who's back, dude. The reunion of you three is so early…”
My eyebrows met instantly and my mouth opened to protest, but Taka immediately ran off. I was engulfed in bewilderment. Reunion? What does that mean? What was he talking about?
The watch in my wrist beeped again. It says 7:35, and I've only got five minutes to get to the main base. I began to run as fast as I can. My bag rattled as it clung to me. Shit really…
Panting steadily before the door, I fixed my gloves and slid the door open. Not to my surprise, everyone is staring at me as usual. I paid no attention to them at all and began to proceed towards my seat.
I caught a glimpse of Xiao, carefully staring back at me with a nervous grin. All seemed to be unusual today. Before I could enter, they were all blatant; then again when I came in they suddenly shrunk into their seats. They're not this anyway…I just wonder what's happening…
“You're almost late.”
Moving my head to the left, Xiao was steadily seated. She didn't budge a bit nor looked at me, though she managed to talk. In agreement, I exhaled a loud huff and began to slump on my seat.
“The news…do you know?” Xiao said uneasily though trying hard to keep her cool. I can see her clench her fists. Finally, she looked at me straight in the eye and whispered hoarsely, “He's back.”
My eyes almost bulged out from their sockets. Now I know what Taka meant! But, it's impossible…I thought he's back in his country…Why did he…return?
“Jin, we have to talk.” Xiao urged me. She got up from her seat and headed outside. She directed me to follow her without letting anyone notice.
Though confused, I let a few seconds pass through. I stood on my feet, and got out of the room without letting anyone be suspicious about it. But I know Miharu is. She just gave me a glare earlier.

At last, Jin got out. He looked so tensed and worried. The news was a bit of a shock to him, I know. However, whether he liked it or not, his rival is here to stay.
“Xiao, how did you know?” Jin asked huskily, pinning me against the wall. His trembling voice echoed along the narrow corridor.
Quietude remained for a while, as I stood against the wall, pierced by Jin. Meanwhile, I felt his hand rest on my hip and he gave me a smile, “Tell me something…” he asked awkwardly.
I swallowed, unable to look back at his eyes. Then, another hand landed the same spot on my other hip. Finally, the pair encircled my waist and Jin found the opportunity to thrust himself on me. He urged me to rest my head on his shoulder. I hesitated at first, but finally, I gave in, placing my head slowly near his neck.
“There's something going on. I can sense it.” He whispered softly now, resting his chin atop of my head. “You took me here, remember?”
I nodded desperately, trying to contain my tears. The truth is hard and I'm afraid to say it to him…I'm afraid to admit it though…but I fear Hwoarang. I'm afraid that Jin would know it was him who saved me that night when I ran away. It was stupid. I almost got raped and my savior is that Korean thug of all people in this shitty planet!
“I know Hwoarang…I met him before, you know.” I confessed, breaking into a fit of tears. Jin wouldn't understand why I'm really crying though. I'm crying because I felt guilty…Guilty of acting like a slut in front of his rival.
“Now is that a matter for crying about?” Jin asked, holding me tighter.
“I did the tongue with him, Jin!” I squirmed, gripping his sleeves. I felt Jin's fists clench behind my back. With the fact that both our chests meet, I can feel his heart race and boil. I shut my eyes, expecting for him to release his rage.
Contrast to my foreboding, the racing I felt in Jin's heart disappeared and was replaced by a seemingly calm walk. I opened my eyes then found him gaze down on me. He expelled a huff, still concentrating to support my head with his shoulder. All I have to do is to wait then…
“Xiao,” Jin's voice was calm and soothing. I had imagined him to be angry, but this is what I get. A good sign or a bad one…I looked at him and frowned. Jin didn't find any expression to match his voice for now. “Do you want me to be jealous or angry? What is it that you're really expecting? You don't even love me…”
“But I thought—”
“You thought that I'll be angry because I'm jealous?” He stared at me fervently, “Of course Xiao. I am jealous. Especially if he is no other than that Hwoarang…”
Soon, the bell rang. Both of our gazes directed at the electronic bell atop of our classroom's door.
Jin released me from his profound embrace…The hold I had yearned for since dawn when I found myself back in my room, sleeping on my bed, already dressed.
“You'd better get back before the teacher would come. I'll be at the student council's office to get some papers to bring back. I don't want them to be suspicious.” Jin simply instructed, leaving me to head towards the empty hall that stuck out at the end of the corridor.

Our teacher emerged from the door, donned with his usual geek attire. I remember cursing every bit of second when we first met. His introduction to his class about me was very disturbing. Moreover, his nosiness made countless embarrassments for me. I hate him and that's all.
“Good morning class. I have some news for you” said the teacher, motioning toward the door. “An old student from last year will join us again. Well, do you know who he is?”
The class, as if not caring, just sighed. All of them began to chorus, “Hwoarang is back. We know…”
A tingle escaped throughout my body. The name `Hwoarang' makes my mind squeeze. For them, Hwoarang is just a usual guy who just came back from vacation. But for me and Jin, he's like a threat.
“Who's Hwoarang?!” Miharu blurted in utter confusion. I just realized that Miharu isn't familiar with Hwoarang yet. Not to mention that he's her dream boy. Who is also a really perverted girlfriend stealer.
Entering the door, Hwoarang ran a hand through his slick red hair.
He grinned, sauntering as if in midair—not caring for the stunned eyes that watched him walk toward the teacher.
“Class, here he is.” The teacher introduced Hwoarang graciously. “I believe that he won't have a hard time making any friends…”
“Yo, guys!” Hwoarang exclaimed. Then some of the guys stood up and greeted him with manly gestures.
I just hid my face under my arms in nervousness. I wanted to cry. Where's Jin anyway? Why isn't he back yet? I desperately called out his name in silence under my arms.
“Xiaoyu?”
I gritted my teeth. A familiar shadow appeared when I looked from the small creek under my arms. Looming down me was an obvious, familiar voice. An excited and unpredictable one.
`Please…not in front of everyone!' I thought desperately, trying so hard to keep myself from crying.
“You know her?” A girl asked. “Ooh…got some tournament connections, eh Hwoarang?”
Then I felt Hwoarang's hand poke my head. A familiar gesture of his when we first met. I quickly ignored it and pretended to feel nothing. I wished for Jin to come even more.
“Come on Xiaoyu, it's me, Hwoarang. The alleyway and the rapist remember?”
Yeah right. That's it. I'm screwed. Now, everybody gasped even the teacher. I can almost hear them whispering to one another. If only I can lean onto Miharu's shoulder once more. But I'm afraid she's mad at me for not telling her the truth again…Oh god…
“Ling Xiaoyu!” I heard Miharu yell. Still, I didn't budge. I want to be untouchable.
“Your vocals haven't arrived yet or something?” Hwoarang said which made me jerk up for the first time.
To my revolt, the crowd was all around me. They watched me stagger. I don't know what to do anymore except to let the tears I had kept in my eyes for so long gush down my flushed cheek.
“Xiao, what's wrong?” Miharu heaved everyone out of her way and quickly went beside me. Thank God she isn't angry. She pulled my head down on her shoulders—the one I yearned for earlier. “Shh…you can tell me later, okay?”
I just kept crying. I don't care if everybody's staring at me, bewildered at my sudden sniveling. Hwoarang's and everyone's eyes don't even show a bit of clemency. They just gazed at me in wonder.
“Do you want me to call—”
“No.” I finished off Miharu's line first. The name `Jin' shouldn't be allowed for a moment, especially in front of Hwoarang. This time, I don't want Jin to be here right now. I don't want anybody to know about me and Jin. Not at this time…
“Is she okay? What did I do?” Hwoarang asked Miharu.
Miharu shrugged, “I don't know what the reason is either…”
I felt my breathing clog for a moment. I can't see anything from these tears! I can't breath! I think I'm gonna faint…
I heard Miharu's last words before my vision finally faded, “Xiaoyu! Wake up!”
~o~
What the heck? I'm late anyway…don't worry about it Jin…keep your cool, man…keep your cool…
I can't believe I'm sweating. But it's indeed obvious for me to sweat. I've been circling the campus three times already! I'd better be back in the classroom…they'll get even more suspicious.
With no choice, I ran for my class to catch time. Some papers I brought along with me flew boldly along the corridor. I didn't get back at them and continued to run as fast as I can.
Gasping for breath out of exhaustion, I kneeled in front of my classroom's door first before entering it. I crawled in a corner and tried to relax. Finally, I came into my climax. I stood up again rejuvenated, and slid the door in front of me open.
“Jin, you're late!” One of my classmates exclaimed in a tone of excitement, which made me flinch. “Look who's back…”
My eyes tightened. I felt a bit flimsy and my throat dried out instantly. But I ignored them. My eyes were more preoccupied with the crowd that gathered near my desk.
“What's going on?” I asked. “Why is everyone there?”
The guys from earlier didn't reply, instead the crowd themselves gave the answer. The crowd stared at me and separated themselves in half, revealing Xiaoyu, Miharu and Hwoarang. My eyes just traveled briefly in Hwoarang's direction but it directly landed on Xiao and Miharu.
“Jin!” Miharu shrieked, holding Xiao. “She fainted just a second ago! Let's take her to the clinic!”
In panic, Miharu handed me Xiao. I, too, am in an affright. After receiving Xiao's body, I carefully lifted it up. I can hear whispers everywhere. But this time, I don't care what everybody's thinking. It's maybe about me and Xiao or me and Hwoarang.
“Kazama…” Hwoarang murmured, his eyes darted at mine. A grin escaped his lips.
I traced him carefully before leaving the crowded area with Xiao. I better not give him much attention. Miharu was just behind me, looking startled. This has not been Xiao's first time to faint. I, myself, cannot enumerate on how many. But I now for sure…she's strong.

I don't really recall on why I have slept so deeply. Someone poked me and that made me wake up. I don't even know on why I'm lying here in this familiar white bed with those familiar white curtains…
“You're awake.”
I rubbed my eyes to get a better view of who's talking. I smiled as the image finally took place. It was Jin.
“Why are you here?” I asked, trying to sit. “What happened? Where's Miharu?”
“You fainted, remember? I brought you here and after lunch, Miharu isn't allowed here anymore except for me.” Jin said, helping me up. “And during this afternoon's dismissal, she just passed by to check on you. She found you sound asleep so she left early.”
I squinted my eyes in disbelief. I watched Jin stood up and close the white curtains for privacy. “So you were here all day?”
Jin smiled and nodded, returning to sit by me. “Why did you faint anyway? I wasn't there to do that to you again.” He chuckled.
I frowned, “It's because Hwoarang's our new classmate. Jin, both your ex-closest friends are here! And I believe they're entering the tournament too next year!”
“You mean those traitors. Yes, they are. And I don't care. They're desperate.” Jin said calmly. His expression was cool and profound.
“Honestly, I'm scared of Hwoarang. Maybe he'll open his fucking mouth and tell everyone about our…”
Jin came closer to me, “About our what?”
I hesitated but…, “Our secret…”
Jin shrugged, looking away, “I guess they know already. It was obvious when I carried you in here. I was in a panic. And they must've seen my expression.”
My heart squeezed. I can describe ourselves as…desperate lovers…
“Hwoarang will be a threat to some in the tournament…”Jin continued while I followed him. Observing him. “…he's good in taekwondo. Julia's good in…”
The way he talks. His handsome face and gorgeous body. His mind. Everything about Jin is so perfect. He truly is God's masterpiece if I'm exact. Why didn't I…fall in love with him before…?
“I only want honor and glory…” Jin added. “…for my father and mother. I also want to prove to the world that…”
Oh God, he really is breathtaking! I am so lucky to have been loved by this man. I can't even remember on how many times he said he loved me…But now, I do…I do love him…as if I'm afraid to lose him…
“Jin,” I said, interrupting him talk. “I have…umm…Jin?”
He stared at me blankly. But at least I had him look up to me. I moved closer to him until our faces met. Slowly, I opened my mouth. Then I darted it onto his wet lips.
Jin responded instantly. He climbed up to the bed and placed me down. His tongue then slipped along the wet panels of my mouth, immediately making it collide with my own tongue. His hand found its way down my skirt, making me release a soft moan.
“Rub my legs Jin…” I whispered, between breaths. I devoured his lips again, sliding my tongue in and out of his mouth while my hands held his body for support.
He obliged without hesitation. He rubbed my legs softly near my groin, escaping a moan himself. I can't help but insert a hand inside his shirt. I rubbed his abs in exchange, longing to hear another sexy moan coming from him.
Unexpectedly, his hand landed on my groin, making me shriek in pleasure, which I'm not supposed to.
“Quiet now…the nurse!” He whispered, letting go of me, his prey.
“Sorry!” I said, pulling him once more and landed fiery kisses all over his face.
“Yeah, yeah, the nurse!” He whispered again in a panic, kissing me back and immediately slumped in his seat as if nothing happened.
As for me, I collapsed on the bed, unsatisfied. I exhaled a loud huff and pretended to sleep.
The nurse arrived, carrying a medicine bottle. “Hi, Mr. Kazama, is she fine now?”
“Uh…I guess…I mean, yes, she is.” Jin said, his voice trembling in nervousness.
“Hmm…” The nurse sat down at the foot of my bed. “Okay, wake up now.”
I reluctantly got up as the nurse said so. She handed me the bottle she was carrying earlier and grinned. She turned to Jin, then me, then at us back and forth.
“What's this?” I asked, lifting the bottle toward the light to see the label clearly. “I only fainted…I faint all the time so it's just normal. I don't need any medicines.”
“Birth control pills.” The nurse declared, grinning wider. She's too old to be having that kind of expression!
I just looked at Jin who shot me a `O…kay' face. Then I reminded him to fix his shirt just as he reminded me to fix my skirt. The nurse then exited. A triumphant face she left us with.
“Come, let's go home.” Jin said, pulling me up from the bed. He kissed me again passionately as I thrust onto him while getting up. “I know…you love me…that's what you're trying to say.”
I smiled, holding his hand. `Come, let's go home'. I have a home after all…with the one I love. For the first time, I cannot deny this love…I don't have the power to…
“Is there a fetch?” I asked.
“No…” Jin said calmly. But it was odd that Billy isn't present. “We're walking home…together.”

Narrator's POV
Hwoarang stood outside, just afar the clinic's door. He grinned, looking at the happy pair move out. He peered down the balcony and saw Jin and Xiao walk happily toward the school gate. Finally, they were gone out.
Hwoarang smiled as Julia touched his shoulder. She kissed his nape and hugged him.
“Hi, babe.” He said, holding Julia's hands together in place.
“Let's go celebrate our reunion, shall we?” Julia exclaimed. “We don't need him anyway…he has that pig-tailed baby with him…”
Hwoarang kissed her rapidly on the lips, almost losing control. Julia backed him off. “Come on, let's go.”
“I miss you babe. Please give me this time…” Hwoarang proceeded down Julia's neck.
Irritated, Julia got out of his hold and started to walk away. “Cut it out. First, let's get that bitch, shall we?
Almost alone, Hwoarang glanced toward the school gate where Jin and Xiao had left earlier and groaned.
“You have your Xiaoyu, Kazama, now let go of Julia. She's mine. If you don't…then you'll give me the pleasure of stealing that Xiaoyu from you…” He cursed, following where Julia had left.
