Chapter 3: When Hope Is Found

Vash ran to Meryls side. Her wings had retreated into her back.

"Ok Meryl, u have some explaining to do." Vash smirked, holding Meryl in his arms while she recovered her energy.

"I am a plant angel, like u and Kinves. I am over 100 years old, almost as old as u." she giggled lightly to herself and snuggled into Vash's chest. "Please don't hate me for not telling u." tears started forming in the corner of her eyes at the thought of Vash hateing her.

"Meryl, I could never hate you……the truth is…..I love u." he said, gently pulling her closer to him placeing his chin on the top of her head.

At first Meryl was shocked. The huminoide typhoon? In love? With her? She finally sunk in what he was saying and smiled slightly, this time tears of joy sprung into her eyes. The look of absolute joy spread across her delicate features.

"I-i love u to Vash." She lightly hugged him as best she could.

"Then will u marry me? Be with me for eternity. Let me protect you and hold u close to my heart, closer than I've ever let anyone in before."

"Yes Vash. It would make me the happiest girl in the world."

With that leaned down and brushed his lips lightly against hers. She would be his for eternity, and this kiss proved that it was true.
