(Flashback)

"Open the door."

"No! I'm not opening the door for you or him!! Just go away!" Jade saw the lock slide on the bathroom door and quickly ran to lean against it. "Go away!"

"Let go of the door!"

"Make me! Just leave me alone! Go announce to the whole steamer I'm a whore or something just get away from me!!"

"Fine………" jade felt herself move from the door and couldn't do a thing to stop it.

"Cut it out! Let me go! Stop!"

"You told me to make you and that's what I did."

As soon as he let her go she pushed past him and went to the door, after a few attempts at opening it before giving up "locked."

"Will you just sit down and listen!" hearing the annoyed note in his voice she did as she was told. "I told Midvally where I found you simply because he asked."

"Oh. That's alright then; that wouldn't affect him at all. APART FROM HE'S SLEPT WITH EVERY LOOSE WOMAN ON THIS STEAMER!!"

"Sit down! Midvally seems to think he has an authority like mine. He's a fool if he thinks he's going to have possession over anything I have claimed."

"I don't care if big nose thinks he's god! I'm not going to stay here if I can't have a moment's peace without some man jumping on me!! Why the hell did you bring me with you? What do you want me for?"

(End flashback)

Where was I? Oh yeah, the steamer. I asked Legato why he brought me with him, he wouldn't answer at first, and he just looked around and eventually answered. He said, `you understand me, that's more than anyone's ever done.' I had no idea what he was on about, but the way he said it, I couldn't leave him. My threat to leave him at the next stop seemed to disappear.

After a while we got off at a station, I can't remember what town we stopped at. We booked into a really expensive hotel, there were two rooms left and Midvally was with us so I had to share with Legato, who didn't tell me there was only one bed. Midvally went straight to his room with someone to help carry his luggage as his arm was broken, I couldn't help being cheery after that. I followed Legato up to our room and stared at the one bed. I didn't really want to share with Legato……..yet.

I was bored as hell and decided to go exploring, Legato told me not to go too far out of the town, something about it being difficult to sense me from afar. I looked around the town and didn't see anything particularly interesting so I set off for a nearby cliff. If I was lucky I would see my first proper sunset and think without a certain pair of gold eyes on me. It took me four and a half hours to get to the base of the cliff and another hour to reach the top, I found a shady area and settled on the top, it would only be an hour wait.

When it started to get dark I got up to leave and saw a huge explosion in the town. I was about to run back when I mini whirlwind knocked me back; I was very surprised when it turned into Legato! He had that damn smirk again and explained he could travel that way. He told me that Vash the Stampede was fighting with a Monev the Gale and that it would be safer up on the cliff. So I was stuck on a cliff with Legato and boredom.

I decided to give in to all my curiosities about him, I found out he was five years older than me and I asked him about family and there was a very long silence. I'm going to stop there because Legato's life before me is none of your business.

(Flashback)

"Legato? I'm sorry, it's none of my business. Just forget I asked." Jade looked at another bright explosion and tried to find something else to talk about.

"My family………deserved what they got, except her." Jade barely heard what he said and looked back at him. He had a serious look on his face and anger blazed in his eyes.

"My father was a drunk, always looking for something to take his anger out on………that was mainly my sister until I intervened. My mother wouldn't do anything about it, if you asked her for any help all that was received was verbal insults and she always sided with him. But my little sister, she was a little like you, only in understanding me. She never said anything to anyone, which is why my telepathic abilities are better than my others."

His eyes took on a sad look and jade couldn't help but move closer to him, "My mother committed suicide, one night my sister got in the way of a strike from my father, which was for me. She fell down the stairway and was dead before she hit the bottom. I killed my father. I wondered into the desert where my master found me and you know the rest"

"Legato, thank you."

(End flashback)

Well that's when we got together; you know the drill, sex, short trip to the hotel, more sex, sleep.
