Twilight Fan Fiction ❯ Faith Says ❯ 7: The Truth Is Exposed ( Chapter 7 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]
------------------------------------- Faith's Dream -------------------------------------------

"Hello, Faith." Says a raspy voice. I have heard it before. But where?

"Who are you?" I meakly ask. Just a dream, I remind myself.

"Oh, but this is real. I am merely visiting you in your dream." The voice replies. It can read minds, wonderful.

"Who are you?" I ask again.

"Just a person. Watch your back Faith. I will be watching you." It laughs evilly.

Suddenly, the image of Rita plays back, but this time it is a memory I have of Rita. We are playing a game outside in the
front yard. That is the day we had plans to go to the beach. I was going to show her how to surf. Someone approaches
behind Rita. Light is showing on the person's face, and, I see me? But I didn't. An image. That's all, just an image.

The person with my face walks over to Rita and stabs her once.

"No. . ." I whisper, forcing the tears back. It has been forever since I cried, and I certainly am not going to cry now!

Another stab, Rita's eyes are wide with shock and sorrow.

"Stop it. . ." I say, louder though.

The last stab, and Rita screams.

"NO! STOP IT!!" I yell and let the tears spill over.

"Faith," I hear. Who's voice is that?

"See you soon, Faith." The person says and disappears.

"Faith, wake up Sweety." I hear again.

----------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------

I open my eyes and see Anna and Edward staring at me. I look around and find out we are back in my room.
Wonderful.

"Ugh, what happened?" I ask, my head in my hands. It was then that I realized I had been crying. I look at my damp
hands, shocked. "Was I crying?" I ask.

Anna stares at me with disbelief. "You passed out, Faith. And yes you were crying, and yelling too." She frowns.

I look down at my sheets, clenching my fists so hard my knuckles are turning. . . well, whiter than what I already was.

"He approached me in my dreams, Anna. The person who killed. . ." I choke out, "He approached me, and. . ." I
couldn't control myself. I cried so hard, I hated it.

I hated crying in front of Edward. I know they are both looking at me sympathetically. But I don't care.

I put my elbows on my knees and lay my fists against my eyes. This sucks.

"What is his name?" Anna asks once I calm down.

I shrug, "I don't know. I don't even know it's really a he. He played one of my memories, and played my image coming
up behind her and stabbing her to death."

Anna looks at Edward, remembering at that moment that he is there. "Faith, I think we should tell Edward. He knows
too much already, and he should know the whole story."

I nod, keeping my eyes down. "I will, later. Are you busy this weekend, Edward?" I ask him.

He shakes his head, "I'm free."

"Good, come by our house again on Saturday, we'll go out and do something, and I will explain everything." I
emphasized on the everything, hoping he will get that I mean all of it.

"Sure." He nods.

Anna stares at me bewildered. "What!?" I ask.

"Nothing." She smirks. I narrow my eyes at her suspiciously.

"Faith, are you alright?" Edward asks.

I look at him and smile before nodding. "Sure." He smiles crookedly back at me.

Sexy smile. I look at the clock and see what time it is. Only 10pm. Wow, I was out for a while.

I shoo Anna and Edward from my room and lay back in my bed, not caring what I'm wearing at the moment. I soon drift
into a nice dream about Edward.

Aren't I just so strange?

The final days before Saturday pass hurriedly. Edward and I are closer. Anna and I are close to best friends. My old
friends like Anna, and approve of her, so we sit with them now.

Nothing big happens through the school days, just getting to know one another better. I have changed a little bit too. A
little more open, only to my friends though. Namely Edward and Anna.

Saturday has arrived. Not caring about a shower for once, I straighten my hair, brush my teeth, and change into a regular
pair of jeans, a band t-shirt, and black high top converse. My loves. Haha.

Have I mentioned I still have not met Edward's family? I think it would be interesting to meet them. I grin.

I walk downstairs and greet Anna, who is watching tv, bored.

"You should call Chris up and talk to him." I suggest hesitantly. I have no idea whether it will upset her or not.

She shrugs though, not really caring, "Eh, who cares. If he wants to be stupid let him. He'll come back someday once he
has matured and opened his eyes up, too."

I glide over to Anna, and I hug her, tightly. I apologize for what happened, since I blame myself for the Chris thing.

Before Anna can speak though, there comes a knock at the door. "Oops, there is Edward."

I skip happily to the door and yank it open roughly. Standing there is a grinning Edward. My heart skips a beat. I think. I
am in the mood for hugs today, so I step up to him, and hug him very tightly.

He is cold as ice, but so am I, so I cannot really complain.

He stiffens at first, and then he slowly wraps his arms around me and hugs me back. I smile to myself. I like this. My
heart is beating uncontrolably. Butterflies are fluttering in my stomach. Is this what love feels like?

"Hello Edward." I smile broadly. A true smile.

"Hello yourself, Faith. You seem rather cheerful today." I think about this a moment and nod.

Giggling, I agree. "It seems so. Let's go before my wacko sister decides to snoop a little."

"Faith!" I hear Anna call. I stop and answer her with a what. "It's not your fault, you know. I chose to be on your side."
Even though she can't see me, I smile and let her know I'm leaving before walking out the door with Edward.

"I'm driving." I say to him and walk over to my Cobra. "You can get your Volvo later. Get in the car." I command.

He chuckles and obeys. Apparently, I'm amusing him. Is that good? I ponder and then I get into the driver's side. I pull
out of the driveway and speed away, doing at least 100mph as usual. No idea yet where I am going. And then it hits me.
We can go to my favorite place around Forks. An abandoned area deep in the woods. There is a long, stone bridge that
leads from one green grass with colorful flowers plain to another, like the rain waters it, and faces a lovely waterfall.
Facing the other way, it is just a river very low on water with rocks and shrubs poking out here and there.

"Where are we going exactly?" He asks, finally.

"You will see. We are almost there. Be patient Edward!" I giggle.

---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------

"You fast enought to keep up with me?" I ask with a grin on my face.

"I'm sure I am faster than you."

I scoff, "We shall test that theory on our way back here to the car."

I race off into the woods, Edward following close behind I see, so I pick up the pace and run faster. Edward very easily
keeps up with me still.

Finally, we reach my love. I laugh at that. Edward looks at me oddly, and I lead him to the bridge. We sit down, facing
the waterfall. I swing my legs over the edge and let them dangle almost touching the water.

"Ok, so this is my favorite place. I do not get to come often, but I love it for some odd reason." I begin.

"I see. It is lovely." He smiles, and then his lips tighten and he waits. A comfortable silence. He waits patiently for me to
explain my story.

I sigh, "Where to begin. . ." After a minute of thinking I say, "first off, I am only telling this because 1. you know too
much and 2. I think I can trust you with this." He nods. "Ok so, I told you I got into a lot of trouble back in Hawaii right?
Well, it was kind of, not true, I guess. You see, I, er, we had a little sister, five years old, her name was Rita. She was
really sweet, and her and I were so close, considered inseparable.

"You see, one night, we hear her screaming in her room. Mom and Dad get there first, and she's," I choke, and then I
regain myself, "she is dead. Chris, Anna, and I arrive soon after. Chris is adopted by the way, and strangely enough,
dating Anna. Anyway, that is besides the point, when we arrive, all eyes and blame is on me. Just because the person
that did it just so happened to place the blood, weapon, and all evidence on me.

"No one believes me, and we move here soon after. You know about how our family was. Distant, and everyone hated
each other but the two lovebirds. Chris left after Mom died because he blames me for her death too, and Dad
disappeared somewhere."

I go on to explain about my past two dreams sadly. I tell him everything. Every feeling, every problem, every single thing
on my chest.

It feels good to get it all out there. I love it.

"That's terrible, Faith. I'm sorry." He frowns, "But I have one more question for you."

Automatically, I know what it is. "Fangel is a mix between a Vampire and Angel. I know it sounds weird, and I agree
that it is weird, but I don't even understand it all completely myself. I'm a different Vampire, I can stand the sun, and
human food is bearable. I hardly need blood, but I do still need it. I'm not sure about my Angel side though. It's like I'm
not fully awaken. Dark and Light are contradicting themselves within me. It is strange, but enjoyable. I am sure though
that I will fully awaken eventually, hopefully soon. I need my powers to awaken."

He nods, "I see. That is very interesting."

I swish my eyes to look into his liquid topaz orbs, and I get lost in them. He is lost in my piercing blue eyes, too,
apparently.

Slowly, we lean toward each other without realization of it, and I feel his cold lips crushing mine.

This really is love. My first true love. My stomach does a flip and I feel excitement growing inside me. What seems like
forever ends within a few seconds, and we blush, turning away.
