Disclaimer: We own nothing except Alex, Damon, and other random ocs we decide to throw in. Each series, book, movie, reference, etc. belongs to their respective owners and we are merely borrowing them for our own enjoyment.

With that said, here are some clarifications to make this less confusing to you, the reader.

First, the all important timeline. In the Buffy verse, it is 2 years after they all graduate from college. In the Esca verse, Hitomi has just come back from her final trip to Gaea. And lastly, in the LotR verse, it is 1,000 to 2,000 years after the second fall of Sauron. The time isn't as important as the other ones. All you need to know is that Sauron is long gone and there have been several generations of descendants from Arwen and Aragorn.

Second, the following people will not make an appearance in this fic: Buffy, Dawn, Faith, Elves, Dwarves, Anya, Dragonslayers (I know, I know. But too many characters can ruin the fic. Maybe at the very end of the fic. Maybe.), the majority of the people in LotR ('cause they're dead.), hobbits (Cutest things in the world but…sigh.), and I think that's it.

Third, some explaining to do. Buffy, Dawn, and Faith are dead. Willow did go evil and Xander brought her back. She went evil because her best friend Tara was killed but not because she lost a lover. For this fic, it has to be like this. =( Now for Gaea. Oh, boy! Here it goes. All the characters are from the series and not the movie. Dilandau and Serena (yes, we spell it like this.) are two separate people. How and why will be explained later. Dilly and Van are kind of friends, kind of not. Let's just say that Dilandau has recognized Van's right to breathe. Dilandau still has issues (don't we all…) but they will get better, you'll see why later. Folken lives! He didn't die and we'll explain it later. Much later. WARNING: The Great and Powerful Authoresses do NOT like Allen. We, in fact, think he is a womanizing pansy. This is a warning to all Allen lovers. We torture him in this fic and love doing it. Oh, and this is a V/H fic. Other pairings are pretty obvious when you read this fic. Now for the LotR. Everything will be explained in the fic. Hah! We're not telling you anything in this category. Just expect a nice little bombshell, er, multiple bombshells. Ah, fine. Expect to be carpet bombed with a mixture of surprise, disbelief, and amusement.

Fourthly, any relationship between this fic and any other is purely coincidence and strictly unintentional. We've probably read your fic and it subconsciously came out into the fic. We're sorry if this happens and send us an email and will give you credit (please note, there are certain restrictions.). Doubt there will be problems but one cannot be too careful. Imitation maybe flattery but un-cited it's plagiarism.

Almost done. One last thing regarding reviews. We love reviews. They make us feel important and that somebody out there likes our work. Flames are fine, too. But, when you flame, understand we reserve the right to respond and defend ourselves. We will post are responses to the flames at either the beginning or the end of the chapter when we update.
