Chapter 11~~Get this Party Started
Alex took the winding turns to her house fast and tight. She never went below 75 mph and by some miracle she would never experience again, missed all the red lights. It had more to do with her gunning the engine at every yellow light and speeding through "questionable" ones. Dilandau gripped the door handle tightly, turning his knuckles white. For the last half of the trip, he closed his eyes and refused to open them until they had pulled up in front of Alex's house.
Alex sprung out of the car with more grace and energy than Dilandau. He stumbled out of the car, forgetting to unbuckle his seat belt at first. He took a few unsteady steps before he felt an arm slip around his waist.
"Wasn't that fun?" she said with glee. He glared at her as she led him to the front step where she let him sit before taking her place next to him. She turned and looked at him, studying him intently. Her left elbow was propped on her knee and her cheek rested lightly in her hand.
"How did you get where you are now?" she asked softly.
He turned to her and gave her an odd look due to her sudden mood change. "What do you mean?"
"Well, you haven't been on Van's side the entire time, have you?" she said sarcastically.
"Like you care," he scoffed as he turned away and stared at his boots.
She sighed. "Fine, don't tell me."
An awkward silence fell between the two like an iron curtain. The minutes passed and the silence grew to be unbearable. Alex placed both elbows on her knees, rested her head in her hands, and stared into the empty darkness. Dilandau continued to stare at his boots. He nervously glanced at the girl sitting next to him.
'Come on, Baka,' he thought to himself. 'Say something.' He took a deep breath and tried to think of something fast. But he couldn't think of anything intelligent, so he said the first thing that popped into his head.
"You know, you were really hot when you took out those bloodsuckers," he said. 'Kuso, kuso, kuso, kuso. Prepare for crash and burn in 5,' he thought to himself as he braced for the slap or worse that was sure to come.
Alex turned toward him and rested her cheek on her left hand. "Really?"
"Uh,…yeah," he said nervously. He risked a quick glance at her but avoided eye contact. 'Gods, I suck at this! I am going to screw this up. I know it!'
Alex smiled at him, leaned forward, and lightly kissed him on the cheek. Before he could react, the others drove up. Alex stood up and walked toward the new arrivals as they got out of the cars.
"Took you guys long enough," Alex said. She stood in front of them with her arms crossed over her chest. Behind her, Dilandau lightly touched the cheek she had kissed with his gloved hand. A small smile barely touched his lips.
"Yeah, well, we actually obeyed speed limit laws," Serena quipped.
Alex rolled her eyes. "Please, I didn't break that many."
"Right, I'll believe that when my Jeep sprouts wings and flies me around the world singing 'lets go fly a kite'," Serena replied back.
"Hey, Wills! Do you think you could manage a singing Jeep with wings spell?" Alex asked with a smirk.
Willow looked at the two girls with a raised eyebrow. "Not this time Alex," she responded.
"Darn," Serena said sarcastically.
They all walked into the house with the girls still bantering. As Alex passed Dilandau, she let her hand graze his cheek. He watched her go by, staring at the way her hips swayed slightly and the way her tight ass moved in sync with her hips. He shook his head, got up, and followed the others in.
Alex gave them all a short tour and then showed them to their rooms. Serena, Hitomi, and Willow stayed in the rooms that they always stayed in. The others were delegated to stay on the 2nd floor. Alex cornered Hitomi in the hallway just outside Van's room.
"Hitomi, I've got an idea," she whispered with an evil smile. "Want to play a drinking game?"
Hitomi smiled and nodded in response. "I'll get Van."
"Such a good little mind reader," Alex said as she patted her cheek. "I'll bring Dilandau. Serena said that she wanted to mess around on the internet and Willow has other plans. Merle looked at me funny when I asked her. None of the others wanted to join. Anyways, bring Van to my room."
Hitomi laughed softly and went to fetch Van. Alex watched her slip into his room. She then turned and strolled toward Dilandau's room. She knocked and waited for an answer. A gruff, "come in," filtered through the thick wooden door. Alex entered the room and came face to face with the red-eyed general she had come searching for.
"Hey," she said.
"Hey," he replied. He stood there staring at her, not sure what to do. He had taken off his armor and gloves. He was now wearing only his leather pants, boots, and purple sleeveless tunic that showed off his well-muscled arms. Alex swept her eyes up his body and smiled.
'Hmm, he is hot,' she thought to herself. 'Looks good in leather.'
"So, Van, Hitomi, and I are going to watch a movie and play a little game." She paused briefly before she continued, "And I was wondering if you wanted to join us?"
He swallowed. He was not expecting this. He didn't know what to say. He stood there staring at her in silence until she spoke again.
"Well, do you?" she asked, snapping him out of his confusion.
"Oh,…uh, yeah. Sounds like fun," he finally answered. 'Smooth,' he thought to himself. 'The Megami shows up and you immediately fall into dimwit mode. Baka.'
Alex smiled and quickly grabbed a hold of his hand, dragging him out of the room and towards the elevator. She got him to her room where Van and Hitomi were waiting. Hitomi had made a slight detour to the kitchens and had gotten three bottles of alcohol; Vodka, Whiskey, and Tequila. She had also gotten a bag of Doritos and Chocolate chip cookies. Hitomi pulled out the movie "Analyze This" and explained the rules of the game. They began the game and after about an hour, they were all too drunk to finish.
Dilandau lay on the couch with his feet propped up on the cushions and his hands behind his head. Van sat on a large faux fur pillow with his back leaning up on the opposite end of the couch. Hitomi leaned against him with his arm wrapped around her waist. Alex had left to get rid of some of the empty dishes. She came back 10 minutes later and stopped at the doorway. She smiled and walked over to the couch, where she stood before Dilandau watching him in his drunken haze.
'I wonder how much he'll remember in the morning?' she thought to herself with a sly smile. 'He better remember this.'
She smiled down at Dilandau who was watching her with a mix of amusement and curiosity. Carefully, she straddled him and ran her hands up his muscular chest. Slowly, she bent down so her lips were barely touching his. She kissed the corner of his mouth lightly and then pulled away. She sat on his middle staring down at him with a sly smile.
"Don't tease me," he whispered gruffly.
"Why not?" she asked innocently.
He pulled his hands out from behind his head. He placed a hand on her cheek and stroked it affectionately. Alex's smile faded as his hand touched her waist. He pulled her down on top of him, her hands sliding up his chest. He moved his hand up her back, slowly dragging her shirt up with it. She smiled again and kissed him on the lips. She opened her mouth slightly, inviting him to explore. He accepted the invitation and delighted when she met him half way. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tenderly massaged the back of his neck. He continued in his hungry exploration of her mouth as he moved the hand on her back down to her butt, groping as he went. He squeezed her ass lightly and she gasped in his mouth. He loved the way she responded to his every touch and he wanted more of her intoxicating body.
Van watched with interest through his drunken stupor as the two made-out on the couch. A devilish grin spread across his face as an idea came into his clouded head. He looked at Hitomi next to him who was still watching the movie half-heartedly. He wrapped both his arms around her and pulled her gently into his lap facing him. Before she could think of what he had done, his lips were on hers. She started to protest but then stopped and began to return the kiss. He nibbled her bottom lip lightly, asking for entry. She smiled through the kiss. She wanted to play with him some first. She refused his request and pulled away. Sadness and rejection flickered across his face. Hitomi smiled and moved to kiss him. She kissed the corner of his mouth and then brushed her lips lightly against his. He quickly brought a hand to the side of her face and guided her closer. This time when he nibbled her lip, she let him deepen the kiss.
Dilandau was beginning to feel drowsy and it wasn't because of Alex's honeyed lips. The alcohol was starting to kick in and he didn't know how much longer he could stay awake. He felt his eyes begin to close as he continued to kiss her. His hand dropped from her cheek and his other hand fell off her waist and hung off the couch. Alex felt his body go lax as his grip on her fell. Sitting up, anger filled her as she watched his sleeping form.
"The bastard fell asleep!" she said in a hushed voice.
"Yeah, Van fell asleep on me, too," Hitomi said from the floor. Van lay sprawled out on his back.
Alex smiled and turned to Hitomi. "I guess, I'll call it a night; for now, anyways."
Hitomi nodded. "What should we do with them?"
"Leave 'em," she said as she went to her closet and grabbed a pair of pajama shorts and a white wife-beater. She changed quickly in her bathroom. When she came out, Hitomi had left and the two men had not moved. Alex crawled into her bed. She peeked at the clock that sat on her nightstand before she too fell asleep.
'2:11 am. Earliest I've been to bed in a while,' she sighed before she drifted off to sleep.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Morning*~*~*~*~*~*~*~** ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Alex rolled over and stared at the clock. She groaned and got out of bed. She looked toward the couch and at the sleeping form and its companion on the floor. Alex snickered lightly. A wicked idea for revenge crossed through her mind. She skipped out of the room and down the hall towards Hitomi's room. She entered the room and found it to be empty. A quick glance at the bed told her that it had been slept in. She moved to the bathroom where she found Hitomi's make-up case sitting on the counter. Alex grabbed it and skipped out of the room. She skipped joyously into the hall. There, she ran into Serena and Hitomi.
"Morning, Sere, Tommy Girl," she said as she hid the case behind her back.
"Morning…," Hitomi replied cautiously. "What are you doing?"
"Oh, just borrowing your make-up to have some fun," Alex answered with a wicked grin. "Want to join me?"
Serena smiled, "No, Hitomi's going to help me with, um,…uh, a little prank for my pansy-ass brother."
"Okay, then. Have fun." Alex swung the make-up case from side to side as she skipped along like a little school girl high on pure sugar. The two girls behind her silently slipped into the elevator, trying desperately to control their laughter.
Alex slipped into her room silently. She glanced at the clock.
'5:11…hm, better hurry-up. I have a final today,' she thought. She walked over to the two sleeping males. She set down Hitomi's case and pulled out a stick of bright red lipstick. She smiled with sadistic glee as she twisted the bottom, bringing up the color stick. She looked towards the two sleeping forms.
'Let's get this party started.'
~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*One Hour Later*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Dilandau smiled and murmured in his sleep. He rolled over and opened his eyes. He immediately groaned and gripped his head. 'Great, a hangover,' he thought.
Van lay on his back across three pillows. He opened his eyes and cringed at the bright lights. He blinked and stretched.
'Hey, no hangover,' he thought. 'Nice.'
He turned toward the couch. The two met each other's gaze and began to snicker. Before they knew it, both were laughing hysterically.
"What are you laughing at?" Van choked out as he rolled on the floor.
"You. Have you seen yourself?" Dilandau replied through breaks in his laughter. "What are you laughing at?"
"You." They both stopped laughing and stared at each other. A wall length mirror hung on the same wall as the door to the hallway. They both jumped up and ran to it, stumbling in their rush. When they reached the mirror and caught a glimpse of themselves, they both screamed. Van's face was done up as a street-walker. He had bright blue eye shadow that went up to his eyebrows and pink blush that covered his cheekbones. Bright red lips finished off his new look. Dilandau wasn't any better off. He had flowers, hearts, and stars drawn all over his face with black eye liner. His eyelashes were done up in pink mascara. Glitter was dusted heavily on his cheeks. To top it all off, a bright red kiss mark was plastered on his forehead. Both were gasping for breath, shock written over their faces. Loud giggling ripped them away from the mirror and toward the door to the bedroom. Standing there, laughing at the two, was Alex and Hitomi.
"Smile!" Alex ordered as she snapped a Polaroid of the two. They stared at the girls who were leaning in the doorway.
"Payback's a Bitch, isn't it, Cous?" Alex said with a saccharine laced smirk.
"What?" Van asked.
"That's what you get for cutting my hair," she said as she crossed her arms over her chest and let the camera dangle from her hand by the leather strap.
Van scratched his head. 'I cut her hair? I know I cut someone's hair, but hers?' Realization spread over his face as he remembered how he cut her hair while she slept and then had taken a huge chunk of it and paraded it around the court while she cried. He must have been six years old when he did that to her. He cringed at the thought of her long held grudges.
"Why me?" Dilandau asked in a slight hiss.
"You insulted me last night," she said with a pout. Dilandau frowned and then felt a wave of nausea over come him. He cursed as he ran into the bathroom. Van watched him go and then turned back to the two girls. Before he could vow revenge or say anything, Alex snapped another shot of him and pulled out the photo, waving it back and forth in the air.
"Lovely picture, Van," Alex cooed. "But I don't think the blue eye shadow does you justice. What do you think, Hitomi?"
Alex passed the photo to Hitomi, who waved it in the air some more.
"I think you should have used the purple sparkly one that Sere always steals from me," she answered.
"I don't remember seeing that one in there, you sure she didn't take it again?" Alex responded.
"Oh well! Anyways, this pic is to die for Koishii, definitely a keeper," Hitomi said as she smiled. Van's face turned a bright shade of red. He clenched his fist and lunged at Hitomi. She shrieked and ran laughing down the corridor. Van followed her close behind. She ran to her safe haven but before she could slam the door, she felt an arm wrap around her waist and force her into her room. She was released from the hold, but she wasn't ready and she fell to the ground. She heard the door slam behind her. She quickly rolled over on her back just in time for Van to land on her, pinning her to the ground. He tried to grab the photo away from her but she moved too fast.
He decided to try a new tactic. He smiled down, his red lips making him look like a circus clown. Hitomi laughed harder. He looked so funny.
Van decided to put his plan into action. He began to tickle her. She laughed harder and tried to squirm out from under his weight. While he tickled her, she loosened her grip on the photo and Van grabbed it out of her hand, throwing it behind him. She cried out and he immediately silenced her with a deep kiss. Hitomi instinctively snaked her arms around his neck and he positioned his body on top of her so as not to crush her. He pulled away and she ran her hand along his cheek. She traced his red lips with her fingertips.
"I love you, Girlie," Hitomi said with a laugh. Van wrinkled his nose and lowered his mouth to cover hers. He cut her off mid laugh and she responded with out protest.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Dilandau and Alex*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Alex stood in the doorway, waiting impatiently for her second victim to come out of the bathroom. She started to hum softly when Dilandau finally came out of the bathroom. His face was clean and he was not happy. Fire glinted in his eyes as he came toward her with his fists clenched and his lips set into a sneer.
Alex smiled. 'Damn, he's gorgeous when his angry.'
"You'll pay for that, Onna!" he raged at her. She set her camera down on a nearby table and cocked her head slightly.
"You'll have to catch me first," she taunted playfully. She took off running. Dilandau cursed and followed her into the hall. She ran into the lounge and slammed the door behind her, smack into his face.
"Kuso! I'll get you, Onna," he screamed as he rubbed his sore nose. He heard a door open down the hall and a tired and groggy looking Serena poked her head out the door.
"Would you please, please," she started sweetly. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" she screamed, fire glinting in her eyes. "Thank you," her sweet tone returning.
She smiled and slammed the door hard. Dilandau stared at the now empty hall, shock written all over his face. He shook his head and opened the door to the lounge. Alex stood there with her hands on her hips and an angry frown.
"Took you long enough! Did you forget about little ol' me?" she said with playful venom.
Dilandau growled and moved toward her. She smiled and darted out the door that led to the gardens. She ran through walkways, being sure to stay on the paths. The rhythmic thumping of his boots told her he was still following her. She made it to the edge of the wall and turned to face him. He had her cornered and was approaching with a sadistic smirk. Now all he had to do was punish her for what she did to him.
'You maybe gorgeous, but no one does that to me,' he thought smugly. A sadistic glint that was all too familiar to so many flickered in his eyes. He moved slowly towards a smiling Alex.
"What are you smiling about, Onna?" he asked with a sneer.
She didn't answer him. Instead, she lifted herself up on to the edge of the wall and sat there with her legs swinging below her like an innocent child. Her hair was down and it swirled around her as a gentle breeze blew in from behind her.
Dilandau paused. 'Gods, she looks so tantalizing. So…no, don't think it. Remember what she did to you.' He shook his head and moved towards her again. She sighed and stood up on the wall.
'This is getting boring,' she thought. She looked down towards the pool below. 'Perfect! Right over the deep end. Time to make it more interesting.'
Alex glanced at Dilandau who had figured out what she was doing and had launched himself at her in a vain attempt to stop her. She turned away and jumped. She landed with a loud splash. She surfaced just as Dilandau landed in the pool a little ways away. He came up to the surface sputtering and coughing. He quickly swam toward her and tried to grab her. Alex, being the better swimmer and not wearing heavy shoes, out swam him to the edge of the pool. She pulled herself out of the pool gracefully and ran. Dilandau followed her albeit a little less gracefully. He nearly slipped a few times on the wet concrete, but he righted himself and continued his pursuit. He was becoming more and more angry as he chased her. The more he held it in without venting it, the worse the explosion would be. She had slowed a little because she was running on grass and didn't want to slip and fall. Dilandau, never taking off his boots, had a disadvantage in the pool but they now provided traction on the wet grass. This was an advantage he wasn't going to let slip by. He launched himself at her, tackling her. She fell to her knees with his arms around her. She struggled with him, fighting him until he finally had her on the ground, he then turned her on her back. He pinned her, holding her hands above her head. He sat, straddling her with tendrils of wet hair hanging in his face and dripping water on Alex's already wet and semi transparent white tank top. She wore a black bra underneath but it didn't leave much to the imagination. Alex laughed uncontrollably. Dilandau growled and his eyes glinted with sadistic rage.
"What the Hell is your problem, Onna?" he snarled as his fiery eyes locked with Alex's sapphire ones.
"You know, you're sexy when you're angry," she replied. Dilandau stared down at her, his anger hanging on a thread. He then noticed that her shirt was almost transparent. She was wearing something underneath but he could still tell she was cold. He felt heat rise throughout his body. He fought it but he was losing.
"Oh, really?" he said with what he hoped was a menacing smirk. Alex giggled and nodded. He leaned forward so their noses were just barely touching.
"You're sexy all the time," he whispered. Alex felt a twinge and her smile faded. Dilandau swallowed. 'Did I go too far? Kuso, I knew I would ruin it with her!' he thought sadly.
"Kiss me," Alex ordered snapping him out of his thoughts.
"What?"
"Kiss me," she repeated. A small smile crossed his lips as he lowered his head, his lips barely brushing hers before he pulled away. He sat up and acted like he was going to get up.
"You call that a kiss? You were better last night!" she taunted.
Dilandau stopped and lowered his face to hers. "I guess I'll just have to do better then."
Alex smiled as her lips collided with his. He let go of her wrists and carefully brought his weight down onto her. He slipped his hand around her waist and rolled on his back, taking her with him. She kissed him deeply and brought a hand to his cheek, slow tracing his scar, and resting the other on his chest. She shivered as a blast of wind racked over her body. Dilandau felt her quiver and he wrapped his arms around her tightly. She pulled away and looked down at him.
"Is that better?" he asked with a knowing grin.
"Better but it still needs a little work," she replied. He smiled and drew her into another kiss.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*30 Minutes Later*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The kitchen was crowded and chaotic. The cooks had been dismissed for the morning by Willow. She needed the day to think of something to tell them about where these strange people were from. Willow had been woken up by Merle who had taken it upon herself to bring the sun up. Willow had almost turned the cat woman into a toad when she woke her up. They had all migrated down to the kitchen and were scattered around.
Alex walked in through glass double doors from the garden. Dilandau walked in with her, his hand resting on the small of her back. The sight that greeted them caused them both to burst out laughing.
Allen was sitting on a stool with his head in his hands and his elbows resting on the island in front of him. His hair was done in hundreds of tiny braids. An amused Gaddes was trying desperately to untangle the braids. The perpetrator was smiling smugly over a glass of orange juice, her blue eyes glinting with eerie pleasure. Her accomplice stood by a counter, smirking lightly. A clean faced Van had an arm wrapped around her and was watching her intently. Willow was laughing so hard that she was leaning heavily on Folken who was looking down at her with an amused expression. Merle stood next to Serena and wore a mix of disgust and boredom. Willow was trying to get control of herself but it wasn't working too well. After awhile she managed to control her laughter.
"Don't you three have a final today?" she said with a smiled as she motion toward the three slayers. The three girls groaned loudly.
"Final? What's a final?" Merle asked, searching for something interesting.
"It's a torture device used to bring teens to the brink of insanity," Alex replied her tone dripping with sarcasm and bitterness. Willow rolled her eyes and the other two nodded in agreement. Everyone else stared at her blankly.
"Hey, Alex! Test me," Serena ordered.
"Okay, let's see." She paused in thought. "Okay, name the economic policy used in Great Britain in the 17th and 18th centuries."
"Damnit! Why do you pick a hard one?" Serena cried out. Hitomi laughed.
"Can I answer it?" she asked with a smile.
"Knock yourself out," Serena said.
"Mercantilism." Alex applauded her.
"See? It wasn't that hard," she taunted. Serena narrowed her eyes.
"Yeah, well now it's your turn," she countered. "Describe what mercantilism is."
"Do you want the long version or the short version?" Alex asked seriously.
"Hey guys! You have an hour! Go, now!" Willow scolded them.
"Short version," Serena said as she put her glass in the dishwasher and headed towards the hallway with the other two following close behind.
"It's a governmental policy that stresses control over the economy for the benefit of the government often at the expense of the consumer. Assuming there is a consumer, of course," Alex answered as she skipped out of the room. All the Gaeans except Allen watched with a mix of interest and confusion.
"Did anyone understand what they were talking about?" Gaddes asked as he worked on yet another braid from the endless ones Serena and Hitomi had created.
"I do, but it's really complicated to go into detail," Willow answered. "I can get you a book on it though."
"No, thanks," he replied as he yanked a braid too hard causing Allen to cry out and smack him. Dilandau stifled his laughter and glanced toward Van.
"I'd like to look at that book, Willow-san," Folken said.
Willow nodded. "It's in the library."
"Hey Vannie! Feel like losing today?" Dilandau taunted in a sing-song voice.
Van laughed. "You beat me? Right! You're on."
Willow rolled her eyes. "Are they always like this?"
"Constantly. They never miss the chance to try and kill each other," Folken said with a loud sigh. Willow giggled and told the two to go into the basement where the practice room was set up. Merle had decided today would be spent exploring the various rooms and such throughout the mansion. Gaddes continued with his set task and Willow led Folken to the library. The girls were soon on their way to the torturous test that awaited them.
Author's Notes:
Caerné: You know, I always wondered what would happen if Legolas met Allen. Would they get along?
MdnitePrncez: Doubt it.
Caerné: Would they kill each other?
MdnitePrncez: Legolas would butcher Allen that pathetic excuse for a pansy-ass man.
Caerné: Yuppers.
MdnitePrncez: Does this have a point?
Caerné: No, just contemplating putting those two in a room and seeing who dies first.
MdnitePrncez: You contemplate; I'll take care of everything else. Okay, moving on. Thank you again for the review, Feye Morgan!
Caerné: **sits with an amused smile** You know, you should have let Sere and Hitomi cut Allen's hair. He would look so much better and less like a girl with it cut short!
MdnitePrncez: It's too mean and besides, if it gets cut short, we can't call him a wannabe Barbie anymore.
Caerné: Good point.
MdnitePrncez: Shouldn't you be on vacation right now?
Caerné: Oh, yeah! Hehe. Time to go. **disappears**
MdnitePrncez: **rolls eyes and sighs** Okay, peeps! You know the drill. Review button is at the bottom of the page. It's the little scroll menu with the gray button next to it on your left. Leave a nice donation on your way out. Ja ne!
