~*Chapter 5: Hells Kiss, and Clues and Arguements*~
It all happend so fast, Kagome could barely remember the battle crys, screams of humans and youkai, swords crashing together, or more disturbingly, roars from the youkai. Kagome couldn't comprehend it. She didn't even notice the demon boy holding for dear life, or Millerna cry out when Allen was nearly killed by a youkia who broke through. Or when Merle, the girl who fallowed Van around screech at a small youkia that slithered at Kagomes feet, kicking it away with a hiss. It was all a blur for her ears. Static.
The battle was dieing down, it felt like days, but she knew it was only an hour or two since Inuyasha and Van had left to kill the rouge youkia that rampaged through the city. Allen had the people in the room who couldn't fight place in the corner, out of the way. She could only stand there, like a usless statue. Her ears were starting to hurt from all the noise.
"Damn it" She heard Rae say next to her, when something large hit the wall near them. Millerna and Merle gave a squeel. Kagome barely flinched. Her mind to set on Inuyasha, who was fighting the weak youkia. She didn't know if he and Van could take all the youkia. For all she knew, both both lying dead amoung the remains of countless demons. She felt her blood run cold at the thought.
Rae came from holding her waist, to infront of her, she could hear him grunting and moving around, along the thumps and a grugling noise. He had killing a youkia who had come to close. Even he knew how to fight, and he might he younger then her. Near by, Allens and a couple samurai guard could be heard, fighting and crying out in frustration. She felt completely usuless. She leaned on the wall behind her as she felt a headache coming on.
Kagome gasped as she felt the wall she was leaning on give in. She fell backwards. Merle fell along eith her. Millerna and the Rae managed to stay in the castle, as Kagome and Merle fell into the rumble of the castle wall.
'I'm going to die....' She thought helplessly. Intill she felt a hand grab the corset of her dress. Kagome hissed when the bodes pressed hard against her burn.
"I got you!" It was Merle, she was hanging on to somthing, but she didn't know how long she could hold both of them.
"How far down is it?" Kagome called up. Merle was quiet for a minute.
"About 20 feet, into a pond " Merle called back. There was so much noise, Kagome could barely hear.
"Drop me" Kagome said bluntly Merle yelped at the request.
"What?! Are you crazy?!" Kagome almost let go of the girl to cover her ears.
"You can't hold me forever, I can survive the fall. Drop me" She felt what ever Merle was holding on to slowly give. She didn't have time to argue with her.
"No! I'll get in so much trouble if they knew I just let you fall. No way!" Her voice was urgent and filled with fear. They didn't have time. Kagome reached up and clawed at the girls arm. Did she just meow? And Merle let go. Kagome braced herself, praying to every kami she knew to make the pond deep. Thankful it was. The noise from the battle was replaced by the ringing of her ears, and cold clean water. Forgetting to take a breath, Kagome quickly swam for the surface, befor she lost her will power and tried taking a breath in the water.
Kagome let out what air she had in her lungs when she felt somthing in the water grasp her ankle, draging her down. She felt pressure in her neck and chest from lack of air, and she kicked and stuggled as hard as she could. Claws digged into her flesh, and she gave another cry. Pulling herself down, she took hold of what ever that was holding her and dug her nails in, hoping to do some damage. She felt somthing pop and a warm liquid. There was a loud painful gurgle sound, and her leg was set free. She swan as fast as her legs could take her.
A hot blowing wing met her face, the sound of fire, screaming and battle crys filled her ears, too loud. Climing out of the deep mote, Kagome couldn't help but stare. She could see! But she wish she could fose herself to close her eyes. Did Fanelia really look like this? Millerna praised Fanelia for its green natural beauty. Could this short battle do this much damage?
The sky was on fire, with black and red flames dancing in the sky, with a too bright sun. The Castle, and city, was on fire, broken crosses and penticles lined the bloody streets, along with bodies of humans and youkia. Demented humans with black swords ran after youkia, screaming in another lanuage. Humans with no limbs or heads walked the streets, bloody holes where eyes onces were. Evil and twisted Youkia attacked and were eating humans alive. Kagome felt tears well in her eyes. This was not real.
Kagome turned around. The water she was in was black with blood. The castle in ruins, burning. All the trees she smelt from the dinning room were dead and black. The air was stale and sour. She turned her head again. The tears she had been holding back fell freely at the sight.
Childrens cut off heads on poles lined the city gates, thier eyes and ears missing, their mouth sown up. Men and woman crying and scratching at the thier bodies, screaming for god. This wasn't Fanelia. It couldn't be.
Kagome fell to her knees and sobbed, not noticing that her tears had turned into black red. Into Blood. She closed her eyes tightly, willing the images to leave.
'It's a dream. Wake up wake up wake up wake up..' She chanted in her head. She opened her eyes again to see the hell ridden land still there. She cried out.
"Wake up! Help me!" Kagome gasped when she heard a low growle behind her. Turning, she came face to face with a youkia. Nails prodused from it's head, and its skin burnt black and red. It face was like a human, but it had no nose or eyes. Yellow claws from boney dog like hands, with a giant fanged grin on its hairless face. She backed away.
"Help...." She murmerd. No one could hear her.
"Kagome" Someone was calling. The voice was mocking. A dark rich voice. The voice sent shivers down her spine. The sound made the fear inside her grow. She knew that voice. It frighened her. She started to pnaic even more. The tiny whisper of her name scared her more then the youkia that was moving in on her. "Kagome..." Kagome closed her eyes and went into the fetal-prosition, waiting for the youkia to eat her, willing the voice to stop. Hoping if she lived, and opened her eyes, she would see black, and not the blood bath, or the too bright blinding sun that burned her eyes.
"Kagome......"
"Inuyasha-sama" She sobbed, and she saw black.
~~~~~~~Inuyash~~~~~~~~~~~
"Fuck.." He cursed when a orge youkia nearly cut of his head. He brang his sword around and slashed at the orge's stomache, his insides falling out. He turned his head away from the smell. You think if a cat could clean them self more then once a day, a weak demon with a half of brain could do it at least once a month.
He looked up to see Van in Escaflowne swooping down, killing 10 demons every time. He also took care of the flying youkia that were picking up men and dropping them to their deaths. There were about a hundred youkia left now. Suprisingly, not many humans were killed. Most went into the cellers of their homes, or was about to keep demons from coming into their house. Most retreated to the cliffs that surround the large city, watching and waiting. The ones who had been outside and unawere, werent so lucky. It was getting dark and the sun was slowly setting. Soon the humans wouldn't be able to fight at their best.
Inuyasha took out a dagger from his armour and lept over the battle feild. For a minute, he thought he senced a spark of holy energy, but quicly disopeared. He let the dagger fly into a youkia head right befor it was about to eat a soliders head.
'Damnit, they aren't even doing well in the light! Pethetic humans....' He complained, swipping at a demons neck with his bloodied claws. Blood squirted out with the beat of his dieing heart, till nothing came out. Inuyasha sneered in discust. He was getting lazy. His eyes widden when the spark came back, and the call of holy magic tugged on his soul. A miko. Kagome!
"Here here! I found her! Here!!" Inuyasha quickly turned to see a large Kappa youkia close in on a whimpering Kagome. It looked as if she was asleep. The remaining demons turned away from their prey. Inuyasha ran to Kagome but she stopped by a snake demon, wrapping them self around him. Inuyasha used his claws on the snakes scales, but barly made a scratch. His scales were stone.
"You won't interfere." It hissed. Inuyasha placed both his hands on the snakes body. Slowly, the rock under his hand started to turn red, and the snake screamed in pain. Inuyasha looked to the skys, searching for the look-alike dragon.
"Van!" He called out when he flew right above him. Van turned his head towards him, giving him a confused look. Inuyashs cursed when he turned the Dragon to him, probably coming to free him.
"Go to Kagome!" Van's eyes widden in confustion for amoment till he noticed the demons going one one direction. He turned his head to where Kagome was, being head up by the Kappa youkia. Inuyasha's nearly gasped at her face. Her tears turned black, he could smell her blood.
'What the fuck?!'
Quickly, Escaflowne came down near Kagome and the Kappa, bring down his sword down on the Kappa with one hand, and the other grasped Kagome's dress. He watched as Van's eyes widden even more from the sight of Kagome.
Inuyasha turn his attention from Van and Kagome to try and escape the snake. The Rock under his hands now was melting, and the snake around him loosen, enableing Inuyasha to escape. He took another Dagger hidden in his black armour and stabbed it in the acid green eyes of the screetching youkia, killing him instantly. 15 minutes later, half of what was left of the youkia fell. Their victory was clear to them. Weak youkia were easily killed. But in numbers, they were strong. And annoying.
Inuyasha ran his acid glowing claws through a spider demons back, and felt green goo splash at his face. He yelped and quickly whiped it off with his red sleeve. Luckily, it wasn't poisen. But his was sticky and smelled like sour milk.
"This is just my fuckin' lucky day..."
~~~~~~~Van~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Van glaced down at the restless girl in his arms every one in awhile. It was hard to fight with her, so he kept to circleing the sky, and takening care of the 15 remaining flying youkia. They were almost done. Inuyasha was taking care of the demons below, and Allen was taking care of the ones in the castle. Van looked at his ruined city. Another attack. They will have to rebuild again. Although they were lucky, his city held nearly 70 000 people, from what he could see from the people on the cliffs, and the bodies that littered the ground, he had 50 000 people left with him. The housing wasn't as bad, there weren't as many fires.
After ramming Escaflowne into a pig-like flying youkia, Van looked down at the girl again. She was shaking and her tears had turned into a wine color. Blood no dout. It was strange, and very startleing. Every once in awile, she would cry out or sob for a few seconds befor going back to shaking. He didn't know what to do. He could't really out her down wile every demon in the area was trying to get their evil hands on her. For what he didn't know. But he really didn't want to find out. Youkai were such inmoral beings. He really couldn't stand them. Though he had to give Inuyasha credit. Not many demons he knew of saved random girls or help save a human country. Weather he liked it or not, he was in his dept. He'd thank him for helping. But then happily sand him on his way.
"Relinquish the girl!" Can quickly looked up from the sleeping girl to see a black bird- human youkai coming down on him. (think of the birds of paradise in the show) He killed 10 of these already, although this one was larger. They were smarter and faster then the rest of the flying youkai. And even seemed to have some sort of family protectiveness. Which he found rare. Although he never really had many incounters with demons befor.
"Thats a large word for you isn't it. Let me give you a reward" Van let go of the girl, and placed her between his ankles to hold her in place. He used one hand to controll Escaflowne, and the other to hold his sword. He turned sharply to the right, as the bird came down on him. For awile, he kept trying to get behind, or under it. The demon kept opening his large mouth to try and take a bite. It was hard to manuver Escaflowne with Kagome underneith him.
damnit' The Youkai hit one of Escaflowne's wings, nearly knocking him and Kagome off. He pulled up and away from the demon. It chuckled darky.
"Whats the matter human? I'm still waiting for my prize..." Van cursed again when it darted up, nearly knocking the bottom of his Guymelef. He looked down at the sound of a groan. Was Kagome waking up? or still dreaming?. It would be much easier if she was awake. While dodging and turning away, he glanced down at the sleeping form.
'Wake up!' He chanted in his head. But she just started to toss and turn. Van nearly tripped when she tried to turn to the side.
"God damnit!" The bird laughed again.
"Having trouble? Drop the girl. It would be so much easier..." Van glared at the demon and regain his footing.
"Over your dead body." He hissed and lunged forward, catching it off guard. when he turned back, his left wing was bleeding heavily.
"You BASTARD!" It screamed and flew after him. Van pulled up, and demon was coming right behind him. Van turned his body and faced the demon.
"Given up have you? Good, then DIE!" Van waited, for what seems like hours, but was barely a second, till the demon was in perfect alliment with him. He held up his sword as if it were a spear, and let it soar throught the air. It made its way into the birds mouth, no dout hitting some very inportant insides. The youkai gave a 3 second scream, befor falling to the land below.
Van looked down at the battle below, Inuyasha was now easily killing the rest of the youkia, till only one Bat looking demon was left, crawling away in defeat.
"Please! Please no! Don't kill me!!" It cried petheticly. No honor either. Demon were turly disusting. He landed Escaflwone near where the Bat youkai and Inuyasha were. Inuyasha was stalking up to the fear stricken demon.

He was half tempted to just kill the bat youkai instantly, but his better, more reasonable half, told him he needed answer. And he wanted them. He quickly stepped on the bats wing befor he could fly away, or try too. His other right wing was now nothing but shreds of what it was been.
"Please! Please! Have mercy my lord!!" It cried out, close to sobbing. Inuyasha really wanted to kill it.
"Why did you come here demon. Tell me the truth, and I will kill you quickly" He dug his bare foot into wing, and the bat gave out a strangled cry.
"Please!" It gasped. "Please no! I'll tell you all! Just let me be!!" Was it really crying? Where the fuck was his pride? ok, now his better half was tempted.
"Tell me everything and I'll consider it" It was a lie. But what ever to get the answers he wanted.
"Okay! okay! We came here, cause we heard of the miko, the holy woman. Was brought here." He gasped out, struggling with his words. As if he didn't know the language. Inuyasha drew out his sword again, and he saw the fear in the bats eyes grow.
"Why are you after the girl?" He growled out. The demon was shacking by this point.
"Shh-she has ss-something we want." It was trying to hold back information. Inuyasha growled and brang down his sword into the demons wing appendages. It screams loudly and cryed.
"Don't fuckin' mess with me!" He hissed dangerously.
"I'm sorry! Forgive me! They say, She guards the Shikon. That shes the holy jewel's protector" He bat breathing became rough and shacky".... And we want it" The bats voice became obessive, and dark at the end. Inuyasha felt the his chest being weighed down. He knew the younge king had heard him. Questions would be asked of him now. He would have to bring the girl with him without a choice. To take her into hidding and protected her. And she would also needed to be questioned.
"Shikon?" Inuyasha craned his head side ways to look at the aproaching king, Kagome layed restless in his arms. "What is that?"
Inuyasha ignorred him and turned back to the demon, who was looking at Kagome with lustful eyes. He twisted his sword that was still attached to the demons wing. It grunted in pain, bitting down on his lips, drawing blood.
"Who told you of this? Where did this rumor start?" He damanded to the youkai. It slowly turned his head away from Kagome, its eyes flashed red.
"A very powerful demon." He discribed. Inuyasha listen intently. "He told any demon who would listen. About the jewel. He told us of the miko, who would come from the moon, with the jewel. At first, many of us didn't believe him, but then, He showed a half, a half of the jewel! His servent woman told us of the girls where abouts. His name-" The bat was cut off when a kunai came wizzing throught the air, and into his neck. His eyes glazed over. Inuyasha quickly turned around, fallowed by Van, to see a large white feather disapeared into the sky. He narrowed his eyes.
'Looks like someone doesn't want to be found out....'
Inuyasha removed his sword from the corpse and turned to Van. They stared for a minute, then Van beckond Inuyasha to fallow him. Inuyasha grunted as they made their way throught the battle field, and to the castle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Normal Point of view~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every body gathered in the ruined Great Hall, and Inuyasha could see every bodies injuries. The knight, Allen, seemed to have a broken rib, his ward, Rae was some what uninjured, but a couple cuts and bruises. The princess, nothing at all, but her dress was dirty, and the Cat girl, made a few gashes and scrapes. Van was in the same state as the cat girl, but suprisingly in good condition. The Girl, Kagome, was still out of it. The blood that came from her eyes was now drying up, and Millerna was whipping her face with a cloth.
Van looked around the room, it would take awhile to rebuild. But he was sure they could do it again. It would take time, but he was optamistic. He turned to the silent demon in the room, whos eyes were fixed on Kagome.
"What is the Shikon?" He asked bluntly. The demon slowly turned away.
"I have no idea" He said plainly. He wasn't about to give out free information. The king has some honor yes, but who knows what he would do if he found out of the jewels power.
Van glared innoyedly at the youkai.
"I know that you do. Is it dangerous? Is it even real?" He asked again.
Inuyasha looked thoughful for a minute. Maybe he should just spill the beans so he could get off his back. Sesshomaru would definitly be pissed if he did.
"All you need to know, is that Kagome isn't safe here, youkai already know of her. If she stays, this will happend again." He looked at Van boredly, as if he really didn't care. Which might be true.
"The demons won't know that she is gone. Not to mention, befor she even came here, demons were hanging around anyways. Trying to kill me and her" He nodded to the woman who knelt by Kagome. Inuyasha didn't bother to look.
They stayed staring at eachother. Everyone in the room hadn't said anything yet.
"Your point?" Inuyasha asked in a monotone voice. Allen stood up with a hiss from his ribs, then looked at Inuyasha.
"Are they trying to take over Reika?" Millerna gasped t his question. He had to know. Thats what it looked like. Why else would demons try and attack to heirs to countries? What if Freid was in danger too?
'Chid..' Allen thought mornfully. What if he was in danger? After another long minute of silence, Inuyasha spoke.
"Maybe, but not by our comand. They are doing it in secret." Inuyasha thought of all the demons back home that had ever thought of spreading the demons land. He could think of a couple hundred, but no one with enough infulance or power.
Van glared at the ground of the Hall. He knew he couldn't take another army of demons. What if they came with stronger youkai? Even if everyone in Reika helped, demons were allways stronger. That got him thinking. Why hadn't demons try this befor? What stopped them befor.....Van voiced his thoughts.
"Why is this happening now? Why hasn't any demons try this befor?" Inuyasha looked at him, nearly startled. He never really thought of that. Inuyasha thought for a few moments, then looked at Kagome who made a small noise. Thats why....
"Because youkai, are afraid of human" Inuyasha forced out. Van looked at him like he grown two heads.
"Why?" Van was completely confused. Demons, in all escence, were stronger then humans. Their mind not be as willful. But they could easily crush a human in 3 seconds flat....depending on the human.
"Because, every once in awhile" Inuyasha nodded to Kagome. "One of thoughs come up."
"A blind girl?" Merle piped. Van gave her a look and she quieted down.
"She's a miko! Wow!" Everyone turned to Rae, who was now hanging over Kagome, looking at her with awe. "I've never seen one befor. I knew she felt different" He grinned.
"A miko?" Van asked. Inuyasha's eyes twitched at Rae. He really was a child.
'fuck, these people don't even know what a priestess is.'
"A human with holy power that can easily kill demons. You have a few don't you?" Inuyasha asked, even though he knew the answer.
"People here aren't particulary religious" Allen stated. Him also not big on gods.
"Well then your fucked" Inuyasha gave a small smirk at their faces.
"We do have a few priest..."Millerna said slowly. Inuyasha turned to her, and she backed up.
"I highly dout they have any real power." Rae giggled slightly at that.
"If demons were so scared of holy people, then why did they confront Kagome?" Van pointed out. Inuyasha remined quiet again.
"Is it because of the Shikon?" Inuyasha mently cursed. Damn kid was too observent. He nodded anyways. He might as well tell everything. These people had no protection, at least he could give them answer.
"Youkai become idiots when it comes to the jewel. They don't care as long as they get it." Inuyasha explained.
"And Kagome has it?" He asked again. Inuyasha shrugged
"I don't know. Possibly. Ask her" Inuyasha corssed his arms and leaned on a none broken wall.
"What can we do?" Asked Allen. Inuyasha thought for amoment.
"You can give me the girl. She most likely isn't trained, so is no use to you. You can gather up your armies, train them hard. And I can send you a some of my Samurai's" Millerna gasped and Van and Allen looked suprised.
"You would help us?" Allen asked in disbielf. Inuysha sneered.
"Don't confuse my intentions. I have to help you because it's my people who are threating you."
"What ever your intentions" Said Van, he bowed slightly at Inuyasha. "Thank you"

"The demons lost. But I know that its the girl." A woman said as she leaned on the painted walls.She had bright blonde hair, with honey brown eyes. She wore a revieling red kimono, with black flowers. A man sat in a corner in the shadows across from her.
"I told you that I did not want to move yet. You have disobeyed me Maya....again..." He hissed the last part, and Maya resist the urge to flinch.
"We needed to do somthing. You knew it was her! Why are you stalling?" She gasped as she fell to the floor in pain, clenching her chest.
"Do not question me Maya. Just listen." He said calmly, as if not aware of the broken woman. "You will do as I please, that is your job, and your life. Do not become useless to me. If it weren't for Kagura, I would have considered you useless. Be thankful to her." He released his hold on her.
"Yes, Naraku-sama"
He called out to the woman who was waiting just outside the door.
"Kagura, take Maya away." Maya looked down at the floor helplessly. Nothing she did please her master. Kagura was his favorite. She heard stories from Ahsayuni, that she used to be difiant, and willful. Now, she was close to acting like Kanna, another one of his favorites.
The woman didn't say anything when she entered. She kelt down at the broken girl and placed her arms on her shoulders, lifting her up. And left him to his musing.
Naraku looked out the window as he went deep in thought. He remembered when he released his Miko. A woman who his body lust after. He felt his hands clench at the last time he saw her. Naked, and obivious.
'Soon....I will have you back....just lead out my plan Miko......'

Sooo.....This was kinda a fun chapter to write 8D but, It did take me awile. A friend of mine convienced me to get some hentai kinda thing in there. She said because it was such a serious story, it was unrealistic. But I think shes just a perv ^_~ lol Sorry. I'm sure theres thouhsands of mistakes, but, Im lazy to read it threw. lol. Anyway, tell me what you think of the whole Kagome scene. It was fun to write, and we're getting more into the horror part of my story. But theres more, much much more horror to come. ^_^ Also, I can't remember if Allen found out about Chid.....Sorry if he didn't, but, in my story, he did :P Anways thanks again to Suzy Q 001 who has been my first And only -_- Reviewer. Soo....I'm thinking about starting a new story. But Im not sure if I should. I might get lazy on this one or both, and it might take a shit as long time befor I updated. But, maybe. one is a Inuyasha story, no crossover. Inspired by the book: The Other Boylen Girl. I thought that the characters fit the rolls perfectly. Kagome and Kikyou will be the Boylen girls. Kagome playing the part of Mary, and Kikyou is Anne. Perfect I think, and the personality are the same. Inuyasha will be the king (in my story Emporer of Japan :P ) The younger brother who married his older brothers wife. Who in my story, will be from China, not Spain. Of course, I'll make some changes, so its my own. So...thats what im thinking....lol. Tell me if you would like to read it....I hope I was being original when I thought of it lol.

~*Chapter 5: Hells Kiss, and Clues and Arguements*~
It all happend so fast, Kagome could barely remember the battle crys, screams of humans and youkai, swords crashing together, or more disturbingly, roars from the youkai. Kagome couldn't comprehend it. She didn't even notice the demon boy holding for dear life, or Millerna cry out when Allen was nearly killed by a youkia who broke through. Or when Merle, the girl who fallowed Van around screech at a small youkia that slithered at Kagomes feet, kicking it away with a hiss. It was all a blur for her ears. Static.
The battle was dieing down, it felt like days, but she knew it was only an hour or two since Inuyasha and Van had left to kill the rouge youkia that rampaged through the city. Allen had the people in the room who couldn't fight place in the corner, out of the way. She could only stand there, like a usless statue. Her ears were starting to hurt from all the noise.
"Damn it" She heard Rae say next to her, when something large hit the wall near them. Millerna and Merle gave a squeel. Kagome barely flinched. Her mind to set on Inuyasha, who was fighting the weak youkia. She didn't know if he and Van could take all the youkia. For all she knew, both both lying dead amoung the remains of countless demons. She felt her blood run cold at the thought.
Rae came from holding her waist, to infront of her, she could hear him grunting and moving around, along the thumps and a grugling noise. He had killing a youkia who had come to close. Even he knew how to fight, and he might he younger then her. Near by, Allens and a couple samurai guard could be heard, fighting and crying out in frustration. She felt completely usuless. She leaned on the wall behind her as she felt a headache coming on.
Kagome gasped as she felt the wall she was leaning on give in. She fell backwards. Merle fell along eith her. Millerna and the Rae managed to stay in the castle, as Kagome and Merle fell into the rumble of the castle wall.
'I'm going to die....' She thought helplessly. Intill she felt a hand grab the corset of her dress. Kagome hissed when the bodes pressed hard against her burn.
"I got you!" It was Merle, she was hanging on to somthing, but she didn't know how long she could hold both of them.
"How far down is it?" Kagome called up. Merle was quiet for a minute.
"About 20 feet, into a pond " Merle called back. There was so much noise, Kagome could barely hear.
"Drop me" Kagome said bluntly Merle yelped at the request.
"What?! Are you crazy?!" Kagome almost let go of the girl to cover her ears.
"You can't hold me forever, I can survive the fall. Drop me" She felt what ever Merle was holding on to slowly give. She didn't have time to argue with her.
"No! I'll get in so much trouble if they knew I just let you fall. No way!" Her voice was urgent and filled with fear. They didn't have time. Kagome reached up and clawed at the girls arm. Did she just meow? And Merle let go. Kagome braced herself, praying to every kami she knew to make the pond deep. Thankful it was. The noise from the battle was replaced by the ringing of her ears, and cold clean water. Forgetting to take a breath, Kagome quickly swam for the surface, befor she lost her will power and tried taking a breath in the water.
Kagome let out what air she had in her lungs when she felt somthing in the water grasp her ankle, draging her down. She felt pressure in her neck and chest from lack of air, and she kicked and stuggled as hard as she could. Claws digged into her flesh, and she gave another cry. Pulling herself down, she took hold of what ever that was holding her and dug her nails in, hoping to do some damage. She felt somthing pop and a warm liquid. There was a loud painful gurgle sound, and her leg was set free. She swan as fast as her legs could take her.
A hot blowing wing met her face, the sound of fire, screaming and battle crys filled her ears, too loud. Climing out of the deep mote, Kagome couldn't help but stare. She could see! But she wish she could fose herself to close her eyes. Did Fanelia really look like this? Millerna praised Fanelia for its green natural beauty. Could this short battle do this much damage?
The sky was on fire, with black and red flames dancing in the sky, with a too bright sun. The Castle, and city, was on fire, broken crosses and penticles lined the bloody streets, along with bodies of humans and youkia. Demented humans with black swords ran after youkia, screaming in another lanuage. Humans with no limbs or heads walked the streets, bloody holes where eyes onces were. Evil and twisted Youkia attacked and were eating humans alive. Kagome felt tears well in her eyes. This was not real.
Kagome turned around. The water she was in was black with blood. The castle in ruins, burning. All the trees she smelt from the dinning room were dead and black. The air was stale and sour. She turned her head again. The tears she had been holding back fell freely at the sight.
Childrens cut off heads on poles lined the city gates, thier eyes and ears missing, their mouth sown up. Men and woman crying and scratching at the thier bodies, screaming for god. This wasn't Fanelia. It couldn't be.
Kagome fell to her knees and sobbed, not noticing that her tears had turned into black red. Into Blood. She closed her eyes tightly, willing the images to leave.
'It's a dream. Wake up wake up wake up wake up..' She chanted in her head. She opened her eyes again to see the hell ridden land still there. She cried out.
"Wake up! Help me!" Kagome gasped when she heard a low growle behind her. Turning, she came face to face with a youkia. Nails prodused from it's head, and its skin burnt black and red. It face was like a human, but it had no nose or eyes. Yellow claws from boney dog like hands, with a giant fanged grin on its hairless face. She backed away.
"Help...." She murmerd. No one could hear her.
"Kagome" Someone was calling. The voice was mocking. A dark rich voice. The voice sent shivers down her spine. The sound made the fear inside her grow. She knew that voice. It frighened her. She started to pnaic even more. The tiny whisper of her name scared her more then the youkia that was moving in on her. "Kagome..." Kagome closed her eyes and went into the fetal-prosition, waiting for the youkia to eat her, willing the voice to stop. Hoping if she lived, and opened her eyes, she would see black, and not the blood bath, or the too bright blinding sun that burned her eyes.
"Kagome......"
"Inuyasha-sama" She sobbed, and she saw black.
~~~~~~~Inuyash~~~~~~~~~~~
"Fuck.." He cursed when a orge youkia nearly cut of his head. He brang his sword around and slashed at the orge's stomache, his insides falling out. He turned his head away from the smell. You think if a cat could clean them self more then once a day, a weak demon with a half of brain could do it at least once a month.
He looked up to see Van in Escaflowne swooping down, killing 10 demons every time. He also took care of the flying youkia that were picking up men and dropping them to their deaths. There were about a hundred youkia left now. Suprisingly, not many humans were killed. Most went into the cellers of their homes, or was about to keep demons from coming into their house. Most retreated to the cliffs that surround the large city, watching and waiting. The ones who had been outside and unawere, werent so lucky. It was getting dark and the sun was slowly setting. Soon the humans wouldn't be able to fight at their best.
Inuyasha took out a dagger from his armour and lept over the battle feild. For a minute, he thought he senced a spark of holy energy, but quicly disopeared. He let the dagger fly into a youkia head right befor it was about to eat a soliders head.
'Damnit, they aren't even doing well in the light! Pethetic humans....' He complained, swipping at a demons neck with his bloodied claws. Blood squirted out with the beat of his dieing heart, till nothing came out. Inuyasha sneered in discust. He was getting lazy. His eyes widden when the spark came back, and the call of holy magic tugged on his soul. A miko. Kagome!
"Here here! I found her! Here!!" Inuyasha quickly turned to see a large Kappa youkia close in on a whimpering Kagome. It looked as if she was asleep. The remaining demons turned away from their prey. Inuyasha ran to Kagome but she stopped by a snake demon, wrapping them self around him. Inuyasha used his claws on the snakes scales, but barly made a scratch. His scales were stone.
"You won't interfere." It hissed. Inuyasha placed both his hands on the snakes body. Slowly, the rock under his hand started to turn red, and the snake screamed in pain. Inuyasha looked to the skys, searching for the look-alike dragon.
"Van!" He called out when he flew right above him. Van turned his head towards him, giving him a confused look. Inuyashs cursed when he turned the Dragon to him, probably coming to free him.
"Go to Kagome!" Van's eyes widden in confustion for amoment till he noticed the demons going one one direction. He turned his head to where Kagome was, being head up by the Kappa youkia. Inuyasha's nearly gasped at her face. Her tears turned black, he could smell her blood.
'What the fuck?!'
Quickly, Escaflowne came down near Kagome and the Kappa, bring down his sword down on the Kappa with one hand, and the other grasped Kagome's dress. He watched as Van's eyes widden even more from the sight of Kagome.
Inuyasha turn his attention from Van and Kagome to try and escape the snake. The Rock under his hands now was melting, and the snake around him loosen, enableing Inuyasha to escape. He took another Dagger hidden in his black armour and stabbed it in the acid green eyes of the screetching youkia, killing him instantly. 15 minutes later, half of what was left of the youkia fell. Their victory was clear to them. Weak youkia were easily killed. But in numbers, they were strong. And annoying.
Inuyasha ran his acid glowing claws through a spider demons back, and felt green goo splash at his face. He yelped and quickly whiped it off with his red sleeve. Luckily, it wasn't poisen. But his was sticky and smelled like sour milk.
"This is just my fuckin' lucky day..."
~~~~~~~Van~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Van glaced down at the restless girl in his arms every one in awhile. It was hard to fight with her, so he kept to circleing the sky, and takening care of the 15 remaining flying youkia. They were almost done. Inuyasha was taking care of the demons below, and Allen was taking care of the ones in the castle. Van looked at his ruined city. Another attack. They will have to rebuild again. Although they were lucky, his city held nearly 70 000 people, from what he could see from the people on the cliffs, and the bodies that littered the ground, he had 50 000 people left with him. The housing wasn't as bad, there weren't as many fires.
After ramming Escaflowne into a pig-like flying youkia, Van looked down at the girl again. She was shaking and her tears had turned into a wine color. Blood no dout. It was strange, and very startleing. Every once in awile, she would cry out or sob for a few seconds befor going back to shaking. He didn't know what to do. He could't really out her down wile every demon in the area was trying to get their evil hands on her. For what he didn't know. But he really didn't want to find out. Youkai were such inmoral beings. He really couldn't stand them. Though he had to give Inuyasha credit. Not many demons he knew of saved random girls or help save a human country. Weather he liked it or not, he was in his dept. He'd thank him for helping. But then happily sand him on his way.
"Relinquish the girl!" Can quickly looked up from the sleeping girl to see a black bird- human youkai coming down on him. (think of the birds of paradise in the show) He killed 10 of these already, although this one was larger. They were smarter and faster then the rest of the flying youkai. And even seemed to have some sort of family protectiveness. Which he found rare. Although he never really had many incounters with demons befor.
"Thats a large word for you isn't it. Let me give you a reward" Van let go of the girl, and placed her between his ankles to hold her in place. He used one hand to controll Escaflowne, and the other to hold his sword. He turned sharply to the right, as the bird came down on him. For awile, he kept trying to get behind, or under it. The demon kept opening his large mouth to try and take a bite. It was hard to manuver Escaflowne with Kagome underneith him.
damnit' The Youkai hit one of Escaflowne's wings, nearly knocking him and Kagome off. He pulled up and away from the demon. It chuckled darky.
"Whats the matter human? I'm still waiting for my prize..." Van cursed again when it darted up, nearly knocking the bottom of his Guymelef. He looked down at the sound of a groan. Was Kagome waking up? or still dreaming?. It would be much easier if she was awake. While dodging and turning away, he glanced down at the sleeping form.
'Wake up!' He chanted in his head. But she just started to toss and turn. Van nearly tripped when she tried to turn to the side.
"God damnit!" The bird laughed again.
"Having trouble? Drop the girl. It would be so much easier..." Van glared at the demon and regain his footing.
"Over your dead body." He hissed and lunged forward, catching it off guard. when he turned back, his left wing was bleeding heavily.
"You BASTARD!" It screamed and flew after him. Van pulled up, and demon was coming right behind him. Van turned his body and faced the demon.
"Given up have you? Good, then DIE!" Van waited, for what seems like hours, but was barely a second, till the demon was in perfect alliment with him. He held up his sword as if it were a spear, and let it soar throught the air. It made its way into the birds mouth, no dout hitting some very inportant insides. The youkai gave a 3 second scream, befor falling to the land below.
Van looked down at the battle below, Inuyasha was now easily killing the rest of the youkia, till only one Bat looking demon was left, crawling away in defeat.
"Please! Please no! Don't kill me!!" It cried petheticly. No honor either. Demon were turly disusting. He landed Escaflwone near where the Bat youkai and Inuyasha were. Inuyasha was stalking up to the fear stricken demon.

He was half tempted to just kill the bat youkai instantly, but his better, more reasonable half, told him he needed answer. And he wanted them. He quickly stepped on the bats wing befor he could fly away, or try too. His other right wing was now nothing but shreds of what it was been.
"Please! Please! Have mercy my lord!!" It cried out, close to sobbing. Inuyasha really wanted to kill it.
"Why did you come here demon. Tell me the truth, and I will kill you quickly" He dug his bare foot into wing, and the bat gave out a strangled cry.
"Please!" It gasped. "Please no! I'll tell you all! Just let me be!!" Was it really crying? Where the fuck was his pride? ok, now his better half was tempted.
"Tell me everything and I'll consider it" It was a lie. But what ever to get the answers he wanted.
"Okay! okay! We came here, cause we heard of the miko, the holy woman. Was brought here." He gasped out, struggling with his words. As if he didn't know the language. Inuyasha drew out his sword again, and he saw the fear in the bats eyes grow.
"Why are you after the girl?" He growled out. The demon was shacking by this point.
"Shh-she has ss-something we want." It was trying to hold back information. Inuyasha growled and brang down his sword into the demons wing appendages. It screams loudly and cryed.
"Don't fuckin' mess with me!" He hissed dangerously.
"I'm sorry! Forgive me! They say, She guards the Shikon. That shes the holy jewel's protector" He bat breathing became rough and shacky".... And we want it" The bats voice became obessive, and dark at the end. Inuyasha felt the his chest being weighed down. He knew the younge king had heard him. Questions would be asked of him now. He would have to bring the girl with him without a choice. To take her into hidding and protected her. And she would also needed to be questioned.
"Shikon?" Inuyasha craned his head side ways to look at the aproaching king, Kagome layed restless in his arms. "What is that?"
Inuyasha ignorred him and turned back to the demon, who was looking at Kagome with lustful eyes. He twisted his sword that was still attached to the demons wing. It grunted in pain, bitting down on his lips, drawing blood.
"Who told you of this? Where did this rumor start?" He damanded to the youkai. It slowly turned his head away from Kagome, its eyes flashed red.
"A very powerful demon." He discribed. Inuyasha listen intently. "He told any demon who would listen. About the jewel. He told us of the miko, who would come from the moon, with the jewel. At first, many of us didn't believe him, but then, He showed a half, a half of the jewel! His servent woman told us of the girls where abouts. His name-" The bat was cut off when a kunai came wizzing throught the air, and into his neck. His eyes glazed over. Inuyasha quickly turned around, fallowed by Van, to see a large white feather disapeared into the sky. He narrowed his eyes.
'Looks like someone doesn't want to be found out....'
Inuyasha removed his sword from the corpse and turned to Van. They stared for a minute, then Van beckond Inuyasha to fallow him. Inuyasha grunted as they made their way throught the battle field, and to the castle.

Every body gathered in the ruined Great Hall, and Inuyasha could see every bodies injuries. The knight, Allen, seemed to have a broken rib, his ward, Rae was some what uninjured, but a couple cuts and bruises. The princess, nothing at all, but her dress was dirty, and the Cat girl, made a few gashes and scrapes. Van was in the same state as the cat girl, but suprisingly in good condition. The Girl, Kagome, was still out of it. The blood that came from her eyes was now drying up, and Millerna was whipping her face with a cloth.
Van looked around the room, it would take awhile to rebuild. But he was sure they could do it again. It would take time, but he was optamistic. He turned to the silent demon in the room, whos eyes were fixed on Kagome.
"What is the Shikon?" He asked bluntly. The demon slowly turned away.
"I have no idea" He said plainly. He wasn't about to give out free information. The king has some honor yes, but who knows what he would do if he found out of the jewels power.
Van glared innoyedly at the youkai.
"I know that you do. Is it dangerous? Is it even real?" He asked again.
Inuyasha looked thoughful for a minute. Maybe he should just spill the beans so he could get off his back. Sesshomaru would definitly be pissed if he did.
"All you need to know, is that Kagome isn't safe here, youkai already know of her. If she stays, this will happend again." He looked at Van boredly, as if he really didn't care. Which might be true.
"The demons won't know that she is gone. Not to mention, befor she even came here, demons were hanging around anyways. Trying to kill me and her" He nodded to the woman who knelt by Kagome. Inuyasha didn't bother to look.
They stayed staring at eachother. Everyone in the room hadn't said anything yet.
"Your point?" Inuyasha asked in a monotone voice. Allen stood up with a hiss from his ribs, then looked at Inuyasha.
"Are they trying to take over Reika?" Millerna gasped t his question. He had to know. Thats what it looked like. Why else would demons try and attack to heirs to countries? What if Freid was in danger too?
'Chid..' Allen thought mornfully. What if he was in danger? After another long minute of silence, Inuyasha spoke.
"Maybe, but not by our comand. They are doing it in secret." Inuyasha thought of all the demons back home that had ever thought of spreading the demons land. He could think of a couple hundred, but no one with enough infulance or power.
Van glared at the ground of the Hall. He knew he couldn't take another army of demons. What if they came with stronger youkai? Even if everyone in Reika helped, demons were allways stronger. That got him thinking. Why hadn't demons try this befor? What stopped them befor.....Van voiced his thoughts.
"Why is this happening now? Why hasn't any demons try this befor?" Inuyasha looked at him, nearly startled. He never really thought of that. Inuyasha thought for a few moments, then looked at Kagome who made a small noise. Thats why....
"Because youkai, are afraid of human" Inuyasha forced out. Van looked at him like he grown two heads.
"Why?" Van was completely confused. Demons, in all escence, were stronger then humans. Their mind not be as willful. But they could easily crush a human in 3 seconds flat....depending on the human.
"Because, every once in awhile" Inuyasha nodded to Kagome. "One of thoughs come up."
"A blind girl?" Merle piped. Van gave her a look and she quieted down.
"She's a miko! Wow!" Everyone turned to Rae, who was now hanging over Kagome, looking at her with awe. "I've never seen one befor. I knew she felt different" He grinned.
"A miko?" Van asked. Inuyasha's eyes twitched at Rae. He really was a child.
'fuck, these people don't even know what a priestess is.'
"A human with holy power that can easily kill demons. You have a few don't you?" Inuyasha asked, even though he knew the answer.
"People here aren't particulary religious" Allen stated. Him also not big on gods.
"Well then your fucked" Inuyasha gave a small smirk at their faces.
"We do have a few priest..."Millerna said slowly. Inuyasha turned to her, and she backed up.
"I highly dout they have any real power." Rae giggled slightly at that.
"If demons were so scared of holy people, then why did they confront Kagome?" Van pointed out. Inuyasha remined quiet again.
"Is it because of the Shikon?" Inuyasha mently cursed. Damn kid was too observent. He nodded anyways. He might as well tell everything. These people had no protection, at least he could give them answer.
"Youkai become idiots when it comes to the jewel. They don't care as long as they get it." Inuyasha explained.
"And Kagome has it?" He asked again. Inuyasha shrugged
"I don't know. Possibly. Ask her" Inuyasha corssed his arms and leaned on a none broken wall.
"What can we do?" Asked Allen. Inuyasha thought for amoment.
"You can give me the girl. She most likely isn't trained, so is no use to you. You can gather up your armies, train them hard. And I can send you a some of my Samurai's" Millerna gasped and Van and Allen looked suprised.
"You would help us?" Allen asked in disbielf. Inuysha sneered.
"Don't confuse my intentions. I have to help you because it's my people who are threating you."
"What ever your intentions" Said Van, he bowed slightly at Inuyasha. "Thank you"

"The demons lost. But I know that its the girl." A woman said as she leaned on the painted walls.She had bright blonde hair, with honey brown eyes. She wore a revieling red kimono, with black flowers. A man sat in a corner in the shadows across from her.
"I told you that I did not want to move yet. You have disobeyed me Maya....again..." He hissed the last part, and Maya resist the urge to flinch.
"We needed to do somthing. You knew it was her! Why are you stalling?" She gasped as she fell to the floor in pain, clenching her chest.
"Do not question me Maya. Just listen." He said calmly, as if not aware of the broken woman. "You will do as I please, that is your job, and your life. Do not become useless to me. If it weren't for Kagura, I would have considered you useless. Be thankful to her." He released his hold on her.
"Yes, Naraku-sama"
He called out to the woman who was waiting just outside the door.
"Kagura, take Maya away." Maya looked down at the floor helplessly. Nothing she did please her master. Kagura was his favorite. She heard stories from Ahsayuni, that she used to be difiant, and willful. Now, she was close to acting like Kanna, another one of his favorites.
The woman didn't say anything when she entered. She kelt down at the broken girl and placed her arms on her shoulders, lifting her up. And left him to his musing.
Naraku looked out the window as he went deep in thought. He remembered when he released his Miko. A woman who his body lust after. He felt his hands clench at the last time he saw her. Naked, and obivious.
'Soon....I will have you back....just lead out my plan Miko......'

Sooo.....This was kinda a fun chapter to write 8D but, It did take me awile. A friend of mine convienced me to get some hentai kinda thing in there. She said because it was such a serious story, it was unrealistic. But I think shes just a perv ^_~ lol Sorry. I'm sure theres thouhsands of mistakes, but, Im lazy to read it threw. lol. Anyway, tell me what you think of the whole Kagome scene. It was fun to write, and we're getting more into the horror part of my story. But theres more, much much more horror to come. ^_^ Also, I can't remember if Allen found out about Chid.....Sorry if he didn't, but, in my story, he did :P Anways thanks again to Suzy Q 001 who has been my first And only -_- Reviewer.
