Chapter One

I was sitting at the track thinking about the fateful day five years ago. So much had happened to me since and lately I've been thinking about Gaea. Thinking about him and realizing, I am still in love with Fanelia's king.

"I wish there is some way I can see him again" I sighed "Van…"

It was a warm summer's day. And I was exhausted I've been working so hard to get through University. Next thing you know I'm lying down and sound asleep.

`It's so dark where am I?'

I look around but I can't see anything. Out of the dark I see something floating down towards me. I put out my hands and a single white feather falls into my hands. I look at it and I sense a familiarity in the feather, like I have held something like that before.

"Van?"

Just as I spoke the feather disappeared, it dissolved into the darkness.

"Hitomi…" I herd my name in the distance. I couldn't recognize it but I knew it was a male voice.

"Whose there? Show yourself."

"Hitomi it is me."

"Van...Van where are you?

"I am right here."

I ran towards the sound of his voice. I kept on running until suddenly a pink light came out of nowhere; it was so bright I couldn't see. The light started to dim and that's when I saw, I saw him…Van.

He was standing there with his back towards me looking at the palm of his hand, shirtless with his beautiful white wings spread out.

"Van" I reached my hand out to him but he was unresponsive.

The light was starting to fade into nothing and Van was gone.

"Van don't leave me…I...I Love you."

"I'm sorry Hitomi."

I was alone, in the dark.

"Hitomi. Hitomi wake up."

"What, where am I?"

"Hitomi it's almost dark, you fell asleep at the track."

"I did" I was confused it felt so real to be a dream.

"It was a dream" I looked up at my best friend Yukari, "It felt so real to be a dream."

"Come on Hitomi; let's go back to the apartment. You scared me half to death."

"I'm sorry Yukari."

"Just don't do it again."

We walked back to our apartment. Yukari and I have been together since we were little kids, when we left high school and found decided to go to the same University we decided that we should be room mates.

Our apartment wasn't that far from the track maybe a few blocks. It was a cozy 2 bedroom with a nice size kitchen. We lived on the top floor so we could see all of Tokyo. We entered through the door and I laid down on the couch thinking about my dream.

"What's wrong Hitomi you're not quite yourself?"

"I'll be fine, just have a lot on my mind."

"You want to share?"

"No it's okay." I sighed, "You want to go to the mall tomorrow; we don't have any classes?"

"Sure I'd love that. You know how much I love shopping."

"Yeah and this will help cheer me up."
