Chapter Eight

Folken was sitting at the huge dining table awaiting Hitomi's appearance. Its almost mid-day, how long can that woman sleep. Folken had long finished breakfast and was almost ready for lunch.

One of Folken's servants walks into the room. "You sent for me, my lord"

"Yes. Kang-Lin, will you go to our guest room, Hitomi's room and wake her up please. Once she is ready with all her belongings escort her here."

"Yes, my lord" Kang-Lin bowed and exited the room.

In Hitomi's room, she was sound asleep until she herd a knock on the door.

"Ugh… Who is it?"

"My name is Kang-Lin and I have a message from Lord Folken. May I come in?"

"Come in."

"His Excellency has asked me to escort you to the dining room as soon as you're dressed and ready."

I quickly washed up and put on another one of my miniskirts another black one and a light blue shirt.

As soon as I was ready Kang-Lin led me into the dining room where Folken was waiting for me.

"Good Afternoon Folken. I am so sorry I slept in like that?"

"It's okay Hitomi, I figured you needed to catch up on your sleep that why I let you to sleep that long."

"You must be hungry, sit down."

As soon as I sat down Folken's servants brought out lunch for us, and we ate.

"We will leave after lunch; we should reach Fanelia by nightfall tomorrow."

"That long huh."

"I'm afraid so."

"Okay."

After lunch we went to the stables and got on our stallions and road off towards Fanelia.

It was night fall and we decided to call it a day. We were about half way there. We stopped in a small town that had an inn. We stayed at the in for the night.

In the morning we started off again.

"We should be there by late afternoon; I know you're anxious to see him."

After a day of riding we get to the gates of Fanelia.

"Hold on you two. Who are you? And state your business." said one of the two guards.

"I am Lord Folken Fanel and this is Hitomi Kanzaki. We have come to see the King."

"What business do you have with the Lord Van?"

"Lord Van is my little brother and Hitomi here is an old friend of Van's"

"Lord Folken please forgive us. Come on in. Welcome to Fanelia."

Folken turns the Kato beside Kira and says to Hitomi. "I'm not going to come in with you, I shall return to my kingdom. You know that you are always welcome in my palace and you can comeback anytime you want. Kira is trained to return to my palace when he is ordered to."

"Thank you Folken."

Folken rides off and disappears into the forest and heads back to his palace.
